He was reading Simpson's magazine and Tinky too sat with him in his hand read the mag!!!! Whenever my son laughs, she mimics him.
It was sooooooooo funny.
We all burst into laughter. Tinky joined us too.

10 Quick cards.......

Hey everybody,

Its Saturday here and daylight saving time closes tonight.
Will be behind by an hour from tomorrow.
Weird, I should say. Daylight saving is not needed here in WA!!!
In spite of public voting against it three times. We still have daylight saving!!!
Anyway, it all political I guess!!!

I spent my afternoon today making these cards.
These are simple ones made using White card stock, Cuttle bug embossing folder, Some embellishments from Basic Grey, Prima and Pink Paislee and matching Versa Color ink.
I adore them. Love the white background.
The colors really pop out don't they?

I have to make the envelopes for them and they are all done.

------------------------------------------------------------

I also managed to do some gardening. Went to Bunnings and got some plants.
Worked on the soil. Tomorrow is planting them. Its not a veggie garden.
One corner of my backyard was bare and needed some good plants and it will become cosy then!
My body aches.

Got to sleep.

Good night

Also tiny bling flowers around Tilda.
The Shimmer copper color card and envelope is from Kaiser Craft.
The flower paper is from Rosa Moka.
Green and baby pink cardstock.

It is a digital layout. paper and elements from various kits all freebies.
Many thanks to all the freebie kits ladies you are posting.

What a day today!!! So far I have been shopping.
Nothing exciting. Just the grocery shopping.
Siddarth is unwell and is at home.
Poor thing is down with fever and body aches.
I am still dragging him along for shopping.
Of course, he is taking his medication.

In one of the shopping centers, there was a photo shoot for kids.
I took one for Siddarth. His face all red with fever!!
Will get to see them next month. No obligation to buy!!!
Atleast that what they say!
Only if it nice I will get them. Lets see how it goes mmmmm!!!!

Finally, I have framed my SIL's layout I made very long time ago.
Will show you this evening. Finding a 12 x 12 frame is so difficult here in my town!!!
I am still not satisfied with the frame. Its so plain. Would like a ornate frame!!!

Alright then until next time

Yay!! My cards are getting published

I was checking my email and to my surprise, I had this email reply from Austraian Cardmaking, stamping and papercraft magazine wanting to publish 2 of my cards in their reader's gallery.
I forgot that iIhad sent some of my cards to them!!
The cards are here in my blog for today. I will remove them tomorrow first thing.
The cards are "Hi" and " Best friend"
That made my day!! I am doing a little dancing at the moment.Lol!!!
---------------------------------------------------------
I am applying for the Kaisercraft DT position. I am not sure I will get it.
If I get it. I will resign my current part time job.
Seriously!!! I am just waiting for a chance to resign.
I would rather do something I love to do, which is of course scrapbooking.
Anyway, I finished my single and double layouts. Half finished my OTP.
So by tomorrow I should be done. Not bad hun!!
Infact I was not sure if I will apply or not this Monday.
I went to see if my LSS had the papers and embellishments I wanted.
Not really. She had the new ones but I like some of kaiser's old papers. She did not have them.
So I ordered online from Anna's Craft Cupboard and ta...da... the parcel came the very next day. I am very impressed. It came from Perth of course.
Still!!!! That was very prompt. Thanks Anna.
But many of my parcels takes 2 weeks to reach from the east coast!!!
Since I got my products, I decided I will give the DT call a go.
Will show you all the layouts and OTP after the announcement by mid April.
Another exciting news is that my kit from Scrapncraft with T is arriving soon. I am guest designing for Tanyah next month. My January kit was her best seller.
So I am all excited to work on this kit.
Also kits from Debs creations are also posted to me.
I have no idea what the kit is going to be!!! Will be a surprise when I get them.
Yay!! can't wait to see them and work on them.
I do not have anything to show today. But I am also working on a layout which does not have photo of person{s}. Shh!!!! Will show tomorrow. Lol!!!
Bye for now

A Sketch and a layout

Hey Everybody,

How is the day been for you?
Mine was such a boring day especially after a hectic yesterday.
It takes a while I guess to relax after few days of rough and tough days.
Was at work but was light.
Wish I had taken some scrap booking stuff to do!!! hehehe!!!

Anyway, this is a sketch by Behagguna from SB dot com.
Awesome sketch. I like the scalloped circle.
This is the sketch for Deb's challenge 4 at her forum.

And this is my take on the sketch.
I made this layout last night but had to wait until this evening to take a picture of it.

The base paper is from Scenic Route.
I have used basic Grey Bitter Sweet and Porcelain papers for layers.
I used scalloped nestabilities die to cut the scalloped circle.
Bling flourish from Prima. Similarly the flowers as well.
Photo of Aditi reading a book with so much concentration,
that she did not even know I took a picture of her!!!!
Alphas from basic Grey as well.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yesterday I received my Kaiser Craft Mumma Bushka papers and album. Nice bright and vibrant colors. Can't wait to start on it. Maybe tonight!!!

Oh! people, Kaiser craft is calling for new Design Team.
10 positions up for grabs.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #3

The challenge this week is….
  • Must have at least one yellow ribbon.
  • Has to be Tilda.
  • And last of all has to have a flower.
Here is my take on the challenge:

There is a yellow ribbon, a flower and Tilda has a flower as well!
I have used a black card stock as the base.
The pink distressed paper is from Stella Ruby.
I embossed a piece of white card stock on the cuttle bug and inked the edges.
The black decorative edged piece of paper is from a pack I bought of Bizzy Becs.
Same with the buckle and ribbon.
I inked the chipboard buckle with pink ink though.
Flower and rub-ons from Kaiser Craft.

I missed the last challenge as I was away.
But made sure this time I will do it on the same day lol!!!
Lovely Challenge. Thanks for the opportunity.

Basic Grey Challenge 26-All rounded up

I missed last week's challenge as I was on a holiday.
Awesome Sketch though.
Will use it for future challenge.

Basic Grey Challenge for this week is:

This week we want to see rounded corners, not an angle in sight !
Please interpret this how you would like, but of course not to forget to use
at least one item from BasicGrey somewhere on your creation :)

And here is my take on the challenge

I have used Basic Grey new Marrakech range of papers and card stock stickers for this card.
All corners rounded. Other than that I have used a rub on congratulations and blue card stock.

Thanks for the challenge. I always look forward to the BG challenges and enjoy making them.

Tags and a digi layout...

Hey everybody,
How is the weekend going?
Mine is been a hectic saturday. Mainly sheparding kids around for their music classes.
OMG!! time just flies. It was evening by the time I sat to rest. I am exhausted!!!
But I wanted to scrap. So I did a few things.
First, I did a few christmas tags for Debscreations master Blaster challenge.
It is a little extra challenge to make a set of 4 christmas tags.
Deb is going to donate then for charity at the time of Christmas, end of this year.
She excused me from the challenge as I do not celebrate Christmas.
But I will miss an opportunity to donate to needy children. S
o I made a set of christmas tags. I am planning to make another set as well.
Here they are for you.
I used some of the BG Wassel chipboard stickers. Perfect for the tags.
Sitting one the computer, I decided to download some digital freebie.
I found an awesome kit after some googling and blog hopping.
Couldn't resist just downloading, so did a digi layout.
The digi kit is called "Interludes" from from this blog
Thanks to this person who made it. Awesome kit.
Here it it for you.

Lots of bling and lovely colour combination.

OK, now I am feeling sleepy. Been a long day today.

I have also done a layout and another set of tags.

Will take photo in good light tomorrow and show you.

I am also thrilled to Guest Design again for Scrapncraft with T for April.

Can't wait to see the kit and work on it.

But now, I am off to sleep.

Goodnight.

Photoshop on the move!!!

Yes, I had taken my laptop with me on my holiday and got to use the photoshop.
Waiting at the airport is such a bore. But with a laptop at hand, time flew.
Kids had their DS and of course my DH had his camera.
She shot this photo of me with the laptop using the photoshop to make my blog header. Lol!!!
Sketch is always a mojo finder.
Especially having not scrapped for 8 days, it provides a good start for me.
This is my take on Nat's Sketch cahllenge at Debscreations
You can see her sketch here.

I have used an old note book paper from Scenic Route as the base.
The shape is cut out of magic Mesh. The pattern paer is from Carolee's creations
Bling flourishes are from Prima and ZVA Creative.
Alphas and ribbon from American Craft.
Flowers from Green Tara and Scrapbook Blossoms.
Finally the brad is from our own Kaiser Craft.
OK, I am off to some tidying the home before I sit to make a set of tags.
Will show you tonight.
Until next time

Flower photos.....

Hey everybody,

Thought will share some photos of flowers I took in Hobart.

Not much to say.
Pictures speak for themselves I guess!!!
Hugs

Some photos.....

Here are some photos from my Hobart holiday...
This one was shot from inside the plane going towards Melbourne.

These two are from Russell Falls.
Oh!, I have more photos of Russell falls.
Iwill edit them and load them.

We went to play bowling. Kids enjoyed it.
I came back with a broken nail and sore thumb!!

Aditi fasinated with a Magic bouncing ball.
She constanly went, " look mommy, look!! Isn't it magical?

This is Aditi's passion.
To own a convertable car like this one.
We had a neighbour in Adelaide who had this and she used to park it ourside out house.
Aditi would sit and look at it for hours. So cute lol!!

More coming soon.
Hugs
