Card Patterns #126

Hello all, I am back again...... So happy to feel better and back on track. Thanks so much all your get well wishes. I must say they did help me to think positive and focus towards getting better because I was starting to get stressed out and depressed. Now I am so positive for me and my kids as well :)

I am also thrilled and honoured that my card here was featured on the out and about lineup at Moxie Fab World.  My motivation is quiet high at the moment.lol!

I made a card set today. And for one of the cards, I used Card Patterns sketch #126. Here is the sketch for you.

Here is the card.

I have used papers from Bo Bunny's Gabrielle collection, including the 3D chipboard element. The card stock is from Papertrey Ink. The lace from a shop at Etsy. The paper rose is from Kaisercraft.
I love the Gabrielle collection papers from Bo Bunny. The color combination, the botanical designs, lots and lots of damask and text on the paper. Just gorgeous! Of course, love the gorgeous sparkly butterflies. I could not get enough of them and therefore I made a card set. Here are the other two cards.

With these two cards, I have used Papertrey Ink's dies to create the focal point for the sentiment.
Hope you like this set 'cas I love them :)
Have a great week!
Luv!

Getting into the rhythm....

Hi everybody,

I didn't realise that when I wrote I will away for a week, it would become three weeks instead. We were away to Sydney on the first week of school holidays when kids fell sick with flu followed by both me and my DH. We are just recovering from the flu. The fatigue after the flu is exhausting and the cough is till persistant. I am trying to get back into the rhythm but I think it will take a week more before we are 100% normal  and get back into the rhythm.
I received the Go to Sketches mag as a prize from Moxie Fab World  during the school holidays and its fantastic. All the sketches and inspirations are just beautiful. I so want to try out the sketches one by one. I was browsing through the Moxie Fab World blog and love the Botanical trend challenge. So I tried to make a card for the challenge. At the moment, I am mojoless. Seriously!  I am finding it hard to get my head to think creatively  lol! Anyway, here is what I made.

I used Pink Paislee's Butterfly collection pattern paper and 3D stickers. Sentiment stamp is from Papertrey Ink's Commnique Sentiments and cardstocks are also from Papertrey Ink. I wanted the beautiful botanical picture to the focal point.  A CAS card. Hope you like it.

I am hoping to restart my card making soon. And I also want to see Harry Potter and  Jim Carry's Mr. Popper's Penguin. But it got to wait a few more days, I guess! My head is still spinning and generally exchausted. Feel so bad for my kids. My DD went back to school today. Teacher said she look so tired and could not tolerate the noise level that she had a headache. Teacher told her to sleep in the afternoon and now after coming back from school, she went straight to bed. She is just so exhausted.Poor girl. Its a bad bad virus!!!!

I can't wait for spring to come. I want sunshine and colors so there is some happiness and energy at home. Glad to have blogged today. Thanks for reading through!
You all have a great day! See ya soon.

Card Patterns #122

I have a card share today made using Card Pattern Sketch #122. This is the sketch.

Here is my card. This time I tried to do a shabby chic style.

I used Pink Paislee's Butterfly Collection papers, Kaisercraft's Secret Bird Society chipboard, sentiment from PTI, button brad from Basic Grey, cardstock from SU, ribbons from my stash.
I love the color contrast on my card. Hope you like it too.

Last day of school today.  2 weeks of term holidays for the children and of course for me too lol! No more waking up early and rush rush mornings and evenings (Sigh!) More relaxed and fun days ahead. Can't wait :)  I will not be blogging for a week. I will see you  in a week's time :)
Happy School Holidays :)

Summer card camp week 1 - Bonus color combo

Here I go again! Another Baby Onesie card using one of the bonus color combo. I have used the 4th combination.

I like the 4th combination because its earthy and very Indian.

I stamped the large Mehndi Medallion from PTI using memento ink and colored using copics :) Here is a closeup so you can see the colors.

Sentiment from Papertrey Ink's Inside Out Baby stamp set. I love this onesie with this design. I want to achieve a different design on the onesie. No soft colors, no animals on it or satin ribbons. I think I have achieved it and it looks so Indian. I can easily imagine this design and colors on a traditional indian fabric. I am so happy with it and hope you like it too :)

This is my second post for today. If you want to see the first post, then click here.

Have a great week!

Beautiful Borders!

Afternoon! Its a beautiful sunny Sunday for me. Very cold start but at the moment looks just beautiful. I love winter sun. Brightens up the day but not hot. I got all my washings done and clothes are on the clothes line drying. House is all dusted, cleaned and vacuumed. Lunch is cooking. So I am all happy. You know what that means..... lol! Yes, I did craft :)
These are  two baby onesie tags.

These are made using Papertrey Ink's baby onesie die and banner dies. I recently saw a baby wearing an onesie on Pinterst which inspired me to make these tags. Here is the image of the baby from Pinterest.

I love the grey scalloped neck design and so wanted to try it on paper.

I am so in love with the Baby Onesie die. Idea bulbs light up in my head everytime I see the die lol!  You may see more onesie projects on my blog this week. Just a warning for you :)
I am entering these for Moxie Fab World Challenge- Beautiful Borders. If you like to play along the challenge, here is the link to the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by! See ya soon!
Have a wonderful weekend!

P.S. I have another post today, click here to see my second post.

You're not old! You're vintage!

It is a freezing Saturday for me. Busy day today but always have time to craft. I learned a lot from the Summer Card Camp about sketches and balancing elements on the card. So I tried out the symmetrical sketch today and made a masculine CAS card for CAS-ual Friday Challenge.
Here is the sketch for you.
Here is the card I made using the sketch.

I have used one large image intead of the three and yet there is symmetry and balance on the card.
Love to refresh on the basic concepts. Thanks Kristina for that.
Also this is the first time I am participating in CAS-ual Friday challenge. Here is the link to the challenge. Love the idea of Krafts-men lol! The challenge is to create a masculine card using Kraft.Love any masculine card challenge. Because its always a challenge for me, how many ever times I sit to make a masculine card. Hope you like my take on the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.! Have a great weekend.!

Rainbow Challenge.

I made a card using Papertrey Ink Baby Onesie die today. This is the first time ever has the order arrived within the month of release. Looks like the Chile ash clouds have brought the parcel quickly through the  jet stream lol! I am so excited because all the inspirations from the countdown is still fresh in my mind. So this afternoon I had a chance make a card for Embellish Rainbow Challenge. Here is the inspirational photo.

And here is my take on the challenge

I went a bit over the top with the rainbow on the onesie, didn't I?  That was because I working on the neck part of it and then, my friend came over... I was working and chatting at the same time. Then this happened!!! Sigh! She liked it but not me. Anyway, I am not going to destroy it but enter it for the Embellish Challenge.

Cardstocks from Papertrey Ink and SU. Rainbow die from MFT, Baby Onesie die from Papretrey Ink. Sentiment is also from PTI Comminque Sentiment set. Ribbon from SU.
If you like to play the challenge then here is the link for you.

Now off to see if I can manage to do more craft his evening :)
Have a great weekend
