Sending my love!

Hi everybody,

Couple of days ago, my Wplus9 package arrived. So happy to receive their white cardstocks. Along with some new release stamps, I also bought A Pocketful stamp set. I had the Pocketful-Valentine set which I bought previously but I had to have the complete set. Great set. Love it.
I decided to do some paper piecing using scrap papers and make a card using the pocket outline stamp and the love notes.

Supplies:
Cardstock: White cardstock from Wplus9
Pattern papers: Scrap papers from stash
Stamp Sets: A Pocketful and A Pocketful:Valentine and  Mehndi Medallions from Wplus9

I am pleased by the simplicity of this card. The pop of colours from the pocket and the ruled paper from the love notes envelope with some stains on them looks cool. I stopped myself from adding anything more because I felt the card was complete.

Thanks for visiting!
Have a great weekend!

One Stamp Two Ways

Hi again!

Welcome back!
I have couple of card shares today using Uniko Studio's Stamps.
Plus I want to share two ways of using a sentiment stamp.
This first card  has the sentiment stamp called Fonitment Birthday Clear Stamp set as the focal point framed by flourishes from Fontiment Fancies – Swirls & Flourishes Clear Stamps
Simple and elegant card focusing on the message.

This second card uses the same sentiment but both as background and as focal point. The background sentiments are stamped using a neutral colour and the focal sentiment is in pink. The colour draws the eyes on it. Coordinate the pink sentiment with a pink card base and pink baker's twine.

I love the sentiment set from Uniko Studio called the Fonitment Birthday Clear Stamp set. The fonts are so beautiful! And the  Fontiment Fancies – Swirls & Flourishes Clear Stamps also from Uniko Studio coordinates very well with the Fonitment Birthday Clear Stamp set.

Hope you liked me sharing some simple techniques using stamps.
Cannot wait for Uniko Studio's next release next month.
Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon

I have used RetroSketches #17 sketch to make my card.

Kissing Technique!

Morning everybody,

I have couple of cards to share for A Blog Named Hero Kissing Technique Challenge.

It is always a hit and miss for me using this technique. I either don't use contrasting colours or not the right stamps for it. After a few attempts, I got it. I love the Large Fabric Background stamp. My favourite from Hero Arts. Instead of using another large background stamp to kiss, I used Dictionary Greetings smaller text stamp to kiss. The result came out nice.
Here are the cards.

I stamped a 5.50 x 4.25 white panel using kissing technique. Then I decided to cut the panel into two and make two cards. One having a larger stamped area and the other just a strip. I wanted to see which one makes more impact.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Stampers Select White from Papertrey Ink
Stamp Sets: Large Fabric Background, Dictionary greetings, Many Birthday Messages and Blossom Art from Hero Arts
Inks: Night Chalk Ink and Bubblegum Midtone Shadow Ink from Hero Arts. Archival Jet Black Ink
Accessories; Ink Pearls

That big flower is so beautiful right? I did not have a pink cardstock to match the Bubblegum pink ink from Hero Arts. So I rubbed the Bubblegum Hero Arts Ink on a white cardstock and stamped the flower, cut it out. Then I used copic sketch of a darker shade to colour some area.

I could not decide and  ended up liking both the cards. Which one do you like?
Gorgeous Sunday today! I have a few chores to complete.

Before I go, I am excited to tell you that this is my 1000th post on my blog. Wow! How cool is that? I didn't even know that I had made so many post lol! Excited about the milestone post Yay!

Have a great weekend!

ColourQ #142

Afternoon everybody!
A quick post today sharing a card made using ColourQ challenge #142 colours.
Here is the colour combination

Beautiful retro colours. Love the island Indigo, Crushed Curry and Cameo Coral together :)

My package from MFT arrived last week and my much expected Hexagon dies arrived in the package:) So I played with them. Fortunately, The Craft's Meow's Thanks Bee to Thee hexagon stamps fit perfectly inside the MFT's hexagon dies. Cool! Love when this happens. So you don't have to duplicate stamps or dies:)
So here is my card.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Stampers Select White and Enchanted Evening from PTI. Cameo Coral, Crushed Curry and Bashful Blue from SU
Stamp Set: Thanks Bee to Thee from The Craft's Meow
Accessories: Hexagon die from MFT

I am having a great weekend. Nothing much to do except music lessons and group practises. A relaxed Sunday expected. Hope you are also enjoying your weekend.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
