Here is my  take on the challenge.

My friend!

I have used Technique Tuesday Garden Flowers die on my card. I used Dylusions spray on white cardstock and saturated it. Then die cut the outline and the solid flowers using the die. I layered glued them. I did this with six different colours of Dylusions. I made three layered flowers. Just swapped the centres of the flowers to different colours. The leaves are from Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves dies cut using vellum cardstock.  The sentiment is part of the Technique Tuesday Garden Flowers die set. I simply die cut them using black cardstock.  The kraft layer is die cut using Simon Says Stamp largest stitched rectangle die. Finally embellished with Pretty Pink Posh Sparkly Clear sequins.

You are so Special!

Hello everyone, I have a special and cute card to share with you today. This card is made using Penny Black stamp sets. And I have watercoloured embossed images on this card. This is one technique I enjoy a lot. Makes me calm and relaxed watercolouring. Anyway, here is my card.

You are so special flat #2

I have used three stamp sets from Penny Black to make this card. The girl image is called XOXO. Love this little girls image. Adorable. I combined this set with Penny Black All Bloom stamp set for the greenery around the girl. Finally the sentiment is from Special Thoughts stamp set.

You are so special

Yo make this card, I black heat embossed the images on to watercolour paper. Then I coloured the images with Zig Clean Brush markers. These pens are my favourite to watercolour as I feel I have better control colouring with these pens. I also use an aqua brush to get waterdown and add shading to the colouring.. I grounded the images by added land to the bottom of the images and watercoloured the background with blue colour. To make the images pop, I added some grey shading to them.

You are so special closeup #1

Finally, I added shimmer to the girl's skirt, butterflies, flowers and leaves using Wink of Stella clear shimmer pens. The sentiment is white heat embossed on black cardstock, trimmed and adhered using foam adhesive. The watercoloured panel is trimmed to about one third of an inch smaller to the size of the card front and adhered to the kraft base using foam adhesives. I embellished with Sparkly Clear sequins and twine bow on the top.

Hope you like my watercoloured special card as much as I do. All the products are available to purchase from Penny Black Store.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Have a lovely Monday!

Simon Says Stamp May Card kit Card #2

Hiya everyone, Welcome back to my blog! I am sharing my second card using Simon Says stamp May card kit.

May 2016 Card Kit 600

This is a very bright, bold and colourful card kit. I love the colours and the outline stamps on the kit. So I decided to use the pattern papers and cardstocks to paper piece the umbrella image from the stamp set. Here is my card #2

You're one of kind flat

I started with stamping the umbrellas randomly on the card front using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. I then stamped the umbrella on one of the pattern paper from the kit and also on the Sunshine and Doll Pink cardstock. I had cut them out with scissors. Then adhered on the stamped umbrella image on the card front. I coloured the handles with copic cool grey markers. This made a colourful background. Love it.

You're one of a kind

For the focal point, I die cut a vellum cardtock using one of stitched rectangle die from Simon Says Stamp Stitched rectangle die set. I black heat embossed the umbrella on the vellum panel. Coloured the umbrella green using Zig clean brush pen. I then stamped the speech bubble from the stamp set on Doll Pink cardstock with the sentiment inside. Hand cut out and added to the focal panel. The secondary sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio stickers also from the card kit. Finally embellished with sequins from the card kit. I adhered this panel to the card front using foam hidden behind the sticked and speech bubble. I brushed the speech bubble with clear shimmer using Wink of Stella.

Hope you like my card. You can find more inspirations using the card kit in the gallery here!

Here is my take on the felt challenge.

Colourful felt chick #1

I have used Springtime Chicken dies from Simon Says Stamp Spring Plush release to make my card. I die cut the card front, the card back, then another card front using pattern paper. I then used pink and burgundy felt from Lipstick Party felt set to die cut the top part of the chicken and the wings. Then the button flowers and crest using the yellow felt from Caribbean Spices felt set . The leaves are die cut using pattern paper.

I then assembled the pieces to make a cute chicken card. I added some sequins from Simon Says Stamp May card kit.

I loved it so much that I made another one.

Black and Orange chick #1

I changed the pattern paper, colour of felt and just one flower . I love the use of googly eyes on the chickens. Both together makes a cute set.

Special Friends card #1

I have coloured both the images using Zig Clean Brush pens. I use these pens to colour intricate and detailed images. I feel I have better control with these pens. I add a bit of colour on the shading areas and then use aqua pens to pull the colour and fade out. I also added glossy accents on the ears, tails, hearts and flowers for extra dimension. Then I also added some shimmer using Wink of Stella.
