Thinking of you....

I think I have missed about 3 sketches from 2S4Y blog. They are beautiful sketches and I plan to use them in the near future. I had the time to do this week's sketch though. This is 2S4Y sketch #57.

This is my interpretation of the sketch.

Challenge: 2S4Y sketch #57

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI's Kraft and SU's Confetti white.
DSP: Basic Grey's Green at heart paperpad.
Stamp set; PTI's Lilly of the Valley
Inkpads: SU's Basic Black and Colorbox rustic colors.
Accessories: Kaisercraft's and Fancy Pants's rubons, Prima Marketing's pearl flourish and rose flowers, Fiskar's border punch and Heid Swapp's edge distressor.

I made two cards yesterday. One was a clean and simple card and this one which is totally a different style.  A lot of embellishments and colors. Just trying to experiment the various styles to see which is my style!!! I am not sure yet because there are a few more to try. There is classy and elegant, shabby chic, vintage and modern and funky. Anyway, I think its going to take time to figure out what my style is. Thanks for another lovely sketch. Have a great day!

OLW-- Overlapping!

Morning eveybody,

What a weather today here! Its cold and raining. My house is scattered with damp clothes and its miserable outside.I don't like layering clothes because it comes heavy and I get headaches because of  heavy clothing around my neck. I survive mostly on a dose of paracetamol on days like these.

Anyway, I have couple of cards for Susan's One Layer Wednesday challenge and its "Overlapping" this week. Overlap a sentiment with an image or images on the one layer card. Here is the link to her challenge.
These are my take on the challenge.

For this card, I have used Prima and PTI stamps using SU Close to Cocoa, Tempting Turquoise and Old Olve inks and sponged the edges with Tim Holtz ink.

This card has SU's Sip by Sip stamp set stamped using Sand Sahara and Basic Black inks and edges sponged.
I am actually enjoying one layer cards. So beautiful, crisp and clean. I think I should stop buying pattern paper. Thanks for the challenge one again.Have a great day!

Leftover alphabet stickers!

Hello everybody,

I have a lots of leftover alphabet stickers from Basic Grey. I had them with me knowing that one day I will have some use for it. Well, today was the day. My daughter, Aditi is at home today. She has severe cold, nose block, slightly warm and irritable. So we sat down to do something "interesting". According to her, making cards is "interesting". I will agree with her too! After spending about one hour together, this is what we came up with

Aren't they cool cards? I love them. Its a fantastic card for girl's birthday.Aditi has two friends's birthday coming up and she is happy to give these cards as she also made them (of course with my help!). Very proud of her achievement. Poor thing, can't even breathe through her nose and eyes watering, but still determined to get the stickers in straight line. Love her perseverance and determination. Good for her in her future. Anyway, here is the set of cards.

Would love to hear your comments on these cards. Especially for Aditi. She is 8 years old and very interested in crafts.
Well, tomorrow I have another project to show you. So keep tunned in tomorrow early.
See you and have a nice day.
