Here are my projects using the Summer Bloom digital stamps.

And here is the black and white card.

And here is both the cards together:)

For the coloured card, I have used the outline digital stamps and for the black and white card, I have used the solid digital stamps. Love the printed stationery look.

Uniko Studio is also having a blog hop today using the June releases. I just came back from my vacation and  don't have the new stamps. So I have played with the free Super Free Saturday digital stamps.

The Craft's Meow Day #4 Preview!

Welcome to The Craft's Meow day #4 preview of their June releases.

the craft's meow.

Today's set is called Fancy Flourishes. Yes, there is gorgeous flourishes and bold sentiments in this set. Designed by Nina. B, this set is the free gift when you purchase for $50 or more from The Craft's Meow this month.

Here is my card using Fancy Flourishes!

I wanted the ombre effect on the flourish. So I have used Bubblegum, Pale Tomato and Raspberry Jam inks from Hero Arts to get the ombre effect. I love how Hero Arts ink blend. I accented the flourish with sequins from Avery Elle. The sentiment is from Fancy Flourishes stamp set as well.

Check out The Craft's Meow Blog for more DT inspirations based on this set.

The Craft's Meow Day #3 Preview!

Hey Peeps,

Day #3 preview of the The Craft's Meow June releases:)

the craft's meow.

Previewing today a new stamp set specifically designed for Project Life called Sweet Memories. Designed by Nina. B, this set is perfect to make you PL cards. What a great idea? But I have used this set on a card just to show its versatility.

I have stamped the trimmed the center element (PL size card) using Sweet Memories stamp set. Since it is a stamp set for PL, I have combined this set with a sentiment from another set. Now you can add a picture of the couple to whom you are giving this card on the PL card. Then it become a photo card:) So there you go, you can use a stamp set designed for PL on a card as well:)

Check out The Craft's Meow Blog for more DT inspirations based on this set.

Round #3 extra cards

Hey everybody,

As promised, here are my two extra cards I made for gallery Idol round #3.

I wanted a very organic background and therefore I stamped second generation woodgrain on the background of the soft stone cardstock. Then stamped the various flowers and leaves using white, orange and green inks. Then I stamped the brown cardstock with woodgrain and heat embossed the frame and sentiment. I then trimmed the framed and mounted it on the centre using the foam adhesive. I just could photograph the card to show the woodgrain background and the white flowers. It looks much better in real.

Then I made this card below using the Paisley stamps from Wplus9.

The moment I know what the theme was for round #3, I wanted to use this colour combination (navy, yellow and green) for my card. But for some reason it didn't work out on my original card. Hence when I had an opportunity to make a third card, I used the colour combination. I accented using rhinestones. Love this card too!

And this is the card I submitted.

Which one do you like? Let me know:)

So there is outline, solid images to fill inside the flowers, different sizes of flowers, buds and leaves. This is a must have stamp set in my opinion:)
Here is a card I made using Kindred Spirits stamp set.

This is a one layer card. I have build the flowers using different colours and let the colours of the flowers speak for itself. Love love this set. Beautiful! Must have!

Gallery Idol Round #4

Hey everybody,

First of all I am so thankful to all of you who voted for me. I was not available to ask ask for votes as I am on a vacation and was on a cruise ship until couple of hours ago. Just could not afford internet. So thank you so much once again for all your support.
I am in round #4! Yippee!

The round #4 theme was to use exactly 10 embellishments on the card. Well, I had packed a small package of craft supplies to craft on the ship. I am so glad I packed an assortment of embellishments with me:) I was able to make my card and upload using the satellite WiFi from the ship to the gallery on time:) Here is my card.

On my card, I have stamped a nautical striped background using brush strokes stamp. Then layered 10 embellishments to create my card. The ten embellishments are inked wood veneer speech bubbles, gold edged circular label sticker, wood veneer anchor, twine, flair and enamel dots. I have kept with the nautical theme not just in the background but also using nautical embellishments and colours. I have used free style collage layout for my card. I really like how horizontal striped background is broken by the diagonal layout of the embellishments. I love the bright pop of reds, green and yellow against the navy striped background.

Hope you like my card. If you do like it, please vote for me.

The Craft's Meow Day #1 Preview

Hiya everybody,

Welcome to day #1 preview of The Craft's Meow June Release.

the craft's meow.

The first set we are previewing today is called Beautiful Roses! Designed by Nina B, this set has beautiful roses and bold font for sentiment. Here is a card I made using Beautiful Roses!

I have coloured the roses and leaves using copics and hand cut three of them. Then layered them using glue and foam adhesives to add depth. I know the roses are gorgeous by itself, I wanted them to look real. So I used glossy accent to add dew drops on the flowers and leaves. Here is a closeup of the photo showing the dew drops.

I let the roses be the focus of the card. So I left everything just simple.

Check out The Craft's Meow Blog for more DT inspirations based on this set.

June Cloud9 Blog Hop!

Hey everybody,

I am sad because it is going to be last blog hop with Cloud9. Cloud9 is closing after one year. I throughly enjoyed it especially playing with Wplus9 stamps. I love their stamps and Cloud9 bloghops are a great way of showcasing them.

The theme for this bloghop is Anything Goes!
Here is my card using the Pretty Patches Umbrella Stamp set.

I have used the umbrella for both the background and as a focal point. And the sentiment from the set simply stamped. Love the colours of red, blue and yellow together. Looks simple but a lot of stamping. Hope you like it!

Check out rest of the DT's projects at the Cloud9 Blog.

Cannot wait to see your projects.

Gallery Idol Round #3

Hiya Everybody,

Round #3 of Gallery Idol! I am pinching myself to see if it is true that I made it to round three. And yes I have! Yay! I sincerely thank you all who voted for me in round #2. Hope you will do the same for this round too:)

For round three, the theme was to make our own stamped background. It sounded easy yet tough for me due to two reasons. First time constraints I had. I am on vacation in Vancouver as you are reading this. And I had less than 24 hours to make my card. Secondly, I was totally zapped looking at all the stamps and deciding what to do! OMGee! deciding what to do which stamp to select took a lot of time. I made three cards but I choose this card to submit for round #3.

I have used Plano stamp and the coordinating smaller version of Plano in the You are the Best Stamp Set for this card. I have done a lot of masking and stamping to get this graphic background. To add colours, I used Copic markers to colour. I just love the depth masking technique gives and the pop of colour. Since the background is busy and colourful, I have added two strips of black card stock upon which I have heat embossed the sentiment (from Lil' Inkers Design) using white embossing powder. I chose this card for round #3 because the technique involved, graphic background, the depth it gives and the pop of colours.

Hope you like my stamped background. If you do like it, please vote for me.

Want to see my two more cards I made for Gallery Idol #2?

Hey dear friends,

I am on a vacation and at the moment in transit at HK airport. Free Internet!  Yay!
So a quick post to share with you two more cards I made for Gallery Idol round #2  - Defining Dad!
I made three cards in total using the same stamp sets and colours. Just changed the orientation/layout of the card. The I got confused as to which one to submit as I like all three. But I went with the first card I made because of the originality of the design and voted the best of the three by hubby and daughter. But I wanted to share with you the other two as well. here they are.

I like the graphic layout of this card above.
Here is the next card.

According to my husband this card is too horizontal!!! Not much movement and not interesting either! Agreed! lol!

And this one is what I submitted and got through round #2

What do you think? Which one do you like? Tell me which one is your favourite in the comments:)

I have submitted my card for round #3. again I made three card in less than 24 hours:) After round #3 is completed, I will share with you those ones too:)

I have few scheduled post coming till I get back from my vacation.

I will share more when I get access to the internet!

Bye for now!

The Craft's Meow Blog Hop!

Good Morning everybody!

Today is The Craft's Meow Blog Hop Day.

the craft's meow.

And the theme for the blog hop is Masculine.
You can find all the Masculine stamp sets from The Craft's Meow shop - HERE!

If you have come from Deborah Nolan's Blog, then you are on the right track on this hop.

I chose the newest stamp set called Lets Face It to make my masculine card.
Here is my card.

I love Lets Face It set from The Craft's Meow. It is a great building set in general. I love that there is variety of spectacles, hats, goatee and ties to choose and make your own image of a man. If you haven't seen this stamp set, here is an image of the stamp set for you.

Let's Face It

Then there is the image of the girl with head scarf, different spectacles to choose, the speech bubbles and finally the sentiments which have the clean and simple font. This is a must have set in my opinion.

On my card, I have scattered the images of ties, hats, bow and spectacles from the top of the card dropping down. And added the sentiment on a strip of cardstock. I have stamped and cut out a few of the images and popped them out using foam adhesives. You can see them in this close up photo.

I have chosen a light grey as my card base instead of white and used brown and blue colours for the images and sentiment. I love how the colours give sophistication and at the same time clean and simple. Hope you like it too.

Your next stop is to the talented Jennie Harper's Blog.

Now there is a prize for one lucky person who has commented. And that winner will be picked from any of DT blogs including the TCM Blog.  So make sure you leave your comment on all the blogs. CAS(E) this Sketch #31

Hey Peeps,

Welcome to a new sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge Blog.

Gorgeous new sketch by Chrissy Larson.

Here is my take on the sketch.

I have used Ikat design as my border and a cluster of flowers in place of the feather element. I chose coral, aqua and grey colours to make my card look fresh and trendy. The inks I have used are Pale Tomato, Soft Granite and Tide Pool from Hero Arts. The stamp sets are from Papertrey Ink. The spatter is from Mr. Huey from Studio Calico.

Check out CAS(E) this Sketch Blog for more inspirations from the DT members

Tuesday Trigger!

Hey everybody,

I had sometime today and therefore made a card for Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger!
Here is the inspirational picture.

I had pinned this picture on my board long time ago and didn't have a chance to use the picture for inspiration. So the moment I saw it as this week's Tuesday Trigger, I wanted to play with it.

For me the comforter is the inspiration. Love the pretty colours and pattern. Here are two cards I made using the comforter as my inspiration.

I have used Fancy Folk Art Stamp Set and  Pretty Peonies Stamp Set from Papertrey Ink for my cards. It looks awesome but was really hard to stamp the solid images within the lines especially when the day is overcast! Or I am getting old! I love the cards. Just so pretty.

Thanks for stopping by!
