Happy Birthday Glitter card!

Hey everybody,

Hope you all have a great weekend! I had a great Saturday and Sunday was a washout with storms and wild weather. This freak weather has been a regular for past two months. It is nearly end of September and we are still in winter :(  Rain, windy and cold. Miserable weather. Cannot wait for sunshine. Hopefully the sun comes out for the school holidays.

Anyway, I am here to share a Birthday card.

I have used MFT's Happy Birthday die that I have die cut using white card stock which I stamped with Floral Folk Arts Flowers from Wplus9. The die cut stands out against the black background. I have also added some bling to the card using the gold glitter tape and the sequins from Studio Calico. Great birthday card for a girl's 21st birthday!

I also entering this card for Seize the Birthday "Anything Goes" Birthday challenge. Just discovered the blog. I am always making birthday cards. This challenge blog will be great starting point to making my birthday card collection:) Here is the link to the blog if you want to play along - Seize The Birthday!

If you are looking for The Craft's Meow post, CLICK HERE!

Here is my gold card.

\

I have used the gold glitter tape from Studio Calico on white card front to give the stripes. Then heat embossed in gold the sentiment from MFT on black cardstock banner. Quick and easy. I let the gold to shine. So no embellishments. I also did the insides of the card.

Just stamped Happy Birthday inside with a thin strip of gold on the bottom. More white space inside to personalise the card.

Introducing: Little Angels

Welcome to Day #4 and final day preview of The Craft's Meow new releases stamp sets.

the craft's meow.

Today we are introducing a stamp set called Little Angels.
This set is designed by Clare Buswell
It is 4 x 6 size stamp set.

Here is my project using the stamp set.

I have heat embossed the angel image using silver embossing powder. Then coloured using copics. I have then stamped the background with a snowflake image from the set. I have also layered snowflakes images using three different colours of blue ink and brown ink on a scrap piece of paper. I adhere the paper at an angle and trimmed the edges. Love this set. A different take to Christmas cards.

CAS(E) this sketch challenge #46

If you are looking for The Craft's Meow post, CLICK HERE!

Hello and welcome to a new sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge Blog!
This gorgeous sketch is by Karolyn Loncon.

And here is my take on the sketch.

I have used the Talk Bubble from Simon Says Stamp to die cut and used the negative. I layered the pattern paper from Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Collection from American Craft. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps On the Edge Stamp Set. The scooter is sticker from Dear Lizzy collection from American Craft as well. I had to cut the scooter sticker in half and I couldn't do it all. I knew I need only half the scooter. Took me half an hour and several attempts before I could cut it.  I also have such moment when I trim a beautiful pattern paper or a stamp. Have you had trouble cutting a sticker, stamp or pattern paper?  I really like how this card turned out.

I am also submitting this card for Moxie Fab World's The Stickers and Tape Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello everybody,
Hope you are loving the two new autumn stamp set previewed for past two day.

Uniko Studio Challenge #3

If you are looking for THE CRAFT"S MEOW post, CLICK HERE!

Hey everybody,

Welcome to Challenge #3 from Uniko Studio.
The theme for this challenge is to use Washi Tape on your projects.

Here is my take on the theme!

I have used Bright Butterflies dies to die cut three butterflies on a white cardstock panel. I then used the negative instead of the diecut butterflies. I have used three different  neon washi tape on the background of the butterflies. I then stamped the sentiment using Fontiment Birthday stamp set, accented with the butterfly trails and enamel dots. Finally mounted the panel on the card front using foam adhesives.

I also made another card. I should say I made this card first and didn't like it so much. I thought I will share with you anyway.

I love the layout but I goofed up on the border. Freehand drawing is not my thing :(   Just thought  I will share with you.

Check out Uniko Studio Blog for more designer inspiration and linky to link your project.

Clearly Besotted Stamps is offering a wonderful prize to our Sunflower Surprise LEAD, too...a choice of any stamp set in their store!
Here is my take on the challenge.

Beautiful stamp set and coordinating dies which is in all ways perfect for this challenge. I have simply die cut and stamped the flower and leaves. I let the flower be the focus with movement towards the sentiment using the enamel dots. Instead of using a plain white background, I decided to use the grid cardstock for added interest.
Hope you like it.
