CAS(E) this sketch #52

Happy Halloween everybody!

Here is the new sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.

Great sketch by Karolyn Loncon. Here is my take on the sketch.

I have used Uniko Studio's this month's new release stamp set called Stunning Snowflakes stamp set and dies to make my card.

Gorgeous new stamp set and dies. I love snow because I don't get snow in the city I live in. Would love to have a white Christmas. So I am a sucker for snowflakes stamps and dies:) Here is the closeup of the card.

I have stamped the snowflakes in two colours. One blue main image and the second in lighter blue stamped slightly offset. This give a raised 3D effect. I have also sponged blue ink around the edges to give the softer look. I then layered the snowflakes diecuts on the banner and added the sentiment. Added rhinestones for a little festive feel.

Christmas Card Set #8

Sharing my 8th set of Christmas cards today.
These ones are one layer cards with lots of layered stamping.

I have used Snowflakes Greetings Stamp Set from CAS-ual Friday Stamps.

And my card is inspired by Christina's card Let it Snow! I have used various colour combinations and also added rhinestones to a few of the snowflakes to make it festive.

I now have 50 cards made. 150 more to go. Just received all the new Christmas stamps from Uniko Studio. So I will be inking them to make more sets. Watch out this space:)

Have a great day!

It is time for a Cuppa!

Yes! Make a cup of tea or coffee and browse through my projects using the new Cuppa Kits from Studio Calico. I got the Cuppa Card Kit, Cinnamon Add-on Card Kit and Chai Scrapbook Kit. All of them are gorgeous. Here are my projects using the Cuppa Card Kit.

Normally I a very colourful girl especially bright colours but I couldn't resist the chalkboard and brick wall papers in the kit. So I went for a very neutral black and white card. Love it.

And this pattern paper with frames is gorgeous.  I have heat embossed the images from the stamp set in the kit and also cut out images and sentiment from the pattern paper to embellish the frames.

The final card features the brick wall pattern paper. I love love this paper. Such a neutral background for pop of colour. I also love the use of washi tape to adhere the wall to the card front.

Here are couple of cards using Cinnamon Add-on Card Kit.

I love the stamp set in this kit. The stamp set is by Mamma Elephant. Great stamp set to make your Christmas card this season. Cool and trendy. I have used the pattern paper from the Cuppa Card kit.

Second card using Cinnamon Add-on Card Kit. Great embellishment in the kit. It coordinates with the stamp sets and Christmas theme.

Finally here are my cards using the fun Chai Scrapbook Kit.

Chai Scrapbook Kit features the fun pattern papers and embellishment from Pink Paislee's Hey Kid Collection. You can make heaps of fun girl and boy cards using this kit. I love the embellishments in this kit.

These kits are available for purchase from the Studio Calico Shop right now.

Christmas Card Set #6

I got through the mad Monday morning. Phew! One child not well but gone to school. Keeping my phone close for that phone call from school to pick up the sick child. So far so good. Fingers crossed he is fine and no phone calls:)
Anyway, sharing with you another set of Christmas cards.

These ones are made using Hero Arts stamp sets -  Snow Much Joy and Miracle of the Holiday.
Here are the stamp sets.

Snow Much Joy.
These are last year's Holiday stamp sets. But they are beautiful sets and I hardly used them because they arrived after Christmas. So I didn't get to use them until now. I decided to stamp, colour and cut out the santas. The pattern papers are from Bazzill's Nordic Christmas and Kaisercraft Christmas Carols.

Off to create couple of DT cards:) Will share them this week.

Have a great day!

Just to break the monotony....

I decided to share a thank you card today. When I made my card for CAS(E) this Sketch #50, I also made another card using black embossing paste. Here it is.

The stencil is from The Crafter's Workshop called Mini Echoes! The black embossing paste is from Wendi Vecchi Studio 490. The green sticker is from Kaisercraft Elegance Collection Sticker Sheet.Thank you diecut is from Papertrey Ink. Here is the close up. I used my old butter knife to spread the paste and I got a beautiful stripped texture to it.

Loving the texture from the embossing paste. I have the gold one as well. Got to try it out on a Christmas card. Tomorrow maybe?

My weekend is nearly over. It is Sunday evening. We watched Gravity in 3D this afternoon. It has been long since we watched a movie in the cinema as a family. Loved it. A bit scary but I now appreciate the work our astronauts do in space to keep our communication systems working.

Well, that is all from me today.
Have a great weekend or Sunday evening if you are in Australia and New Zealand.

Cheers!

Christmas Card Set #5

Happy Weekend Everybody!
Here is another set of Christmas cards for you.

Holiday Foundations
Holiday Foundations

I have decided to add the picture and link for the stamp sets I will be using to make my Christmas Cards because I get emails asking which stamp set I have used. I thought by adding the image and linking it easier to see and go to the shop if you like to purchase. Not at all enabling (Wink!) Just trying to help!

I love this stamp set and the cards because I love stamping, period! Simple pleasures in life. This is one of them :) I love the colours and Memento Luxe inks are awesome. To finish my card off I used coordinating coloured twines with silver bells. I think I will make more of these cards using different colour combinations.

Enjoy your weekend!

Christmas Card Set #4

Hello!

I have my fourth set of Christmas cards to share with you. This is a set of five.

I love this set for two reasons. First, the simplicity of the card and secondly the beautiful floorboard/decking background. I have used the Winter Wreath Die, Ornament Banner Builder Stamp Set and LJD Western Background Stamp Set both from My Favorite Things.

For the layout, I have used this week's sketch from My Favorite Things.

Hope you like it.

Hugs!

CAS(E) this Sketch #51

Sharing with you a brand new sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge Blog
This sketch is by N@ Ali.

Cool sketch. Love it but I struggled with it to be honest. I think it is because I am in the process of making Christmas cards. I could not see making a Christmas card using the sketch. Ummm! Here is what I did with the sketch.

I have used MFT's Abstract Art and LJD On the Line stamp sets. I have used Memento Luxe inks. I love Luxe inks. Great coverage. Happy with the result. But could have used a different colour combination I think!

Check out CAS(E) this Sketch Blog for more DT inspiration and linky to link your project.

This is the second post for today. Here is the first post.
