An unforgettable birthday card!

Sharing with your another birthday card using Wplus9 Unforgettable stamp set and dies.

Unforgettable card

I did a mint colour wash on the background using Zig Gansai Tambi watercolour. Then adhered the copic coloured balloon upside down and the elephant on top of the balloon which now is a ball.

Unforgettable flat card

Then stamped the sentiment from the Unforgettable stamp set and the stars as well. Coloured the stars with glitter pen and accented with Fresh Mint 6mm and 4mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I absolutely love the elephant. I cannot get enough of them. Just adorable.

Another elephant card!

Good morning everyone,

Wow! it is Friday! So looking forward to the weekend especially the morning sleeping in. And in one week, school closes and two weeks of term one school holidays. Cannot wait for a change in routine.

Today I am sharing my second card using Wplus9's Unforgettable stamp set and dies. I tried to create a scene to which I added the elephants. Here is my card.

Happy Birthday 1

I have used two different colouring techniques in this card. The elephants are copic coloured and the sky and landscape are watercoloured.  I have used Pretty Pink Posh's Stitched Border 2 Dies to die cut and layer my watercoloured landscape. The branch from which one of the elephant hangs is from Wplus9. The frame is from MFT. The sequins are from Sugar Plum sequins mix from Pretty Pink Posh.

Just Saying!

After few attempts to purchase The Unforgettable stamp set and dies from Wplus9, I was able to get it from Butterfly Reflections Ink . Did I tell you that international shipping at Butterfly Reflections Ink is very reasonable and fast as well ;) I looked at the set like a little child receiving surprise present. LOVE the elephants in the stamp set. Normally I am not a big fan of cute looking animal stamps but I have soft side for elephants. I have grown up seeing them almost everyday. I adore them. So I have to have this set. Anyway, I stamped, coloured, die cut the super cute elephants yesterday and today I made cards. I am sharing one today.

Just saying card

This card is inspired by Elle, the she elephant from Ice Age II movie. Remember Elle used to hang from the trees like her possum brothers? So when I first saw the hanging elephant in the set. I wanted to make a card inspired by Elle. Luckily, Wplus9 has this beautiful Foliage Frame Dies which I have used on green and brown watercoloured paper to die cut the frame and branch. I adhered this frame and branch to the card front. Then adhered the elephant as if he/she is hanging from the branch.

Just Saying closeup

I stamped the sentiment towards the left bottom. I felt adding couple of more elephants will balance the card. And it did. I love it so much that I am not adding any embellishments.

Adorable with a technique clean and simple card.

Pin Sights Challenge

Evening everyone,
A quick post today. I played along Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge

Banner-PIN-sights

Pinterest Challenge 1

I love this colour combination. Black/White with gold - very classic and beautiful. And who does not like B/W stripes and gold glitter? I cannot let go of this challenge. Here is my take on the challenge.

Hello Gorgeous

I have used Bold Blooms die set and stamp set from Essential by Ellen to make my card. I die cut the Bold Blooms die in black striped pattern paper and layered them on a white card stock panel spattered with gold colour wash from Heidi Swapp.

Hello gorgeous closeup

I stamped the sentiment from Bold Blooms stamp set on the panel and mounted this panel on the card base with striped pattern paper on the bottom and a strip of gold glitter. Finally added some gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Watercoloured Die Cut - Card #2

Afternoon everyone,

Sharing with you another watercoloured die cut card using Penny Black dies.

Thanks you card 1

For this card I have used Flower Frolic die and Stylish Gratitude die from Penny Black

flower frolic picture stylish gratitude picture

I did the exact same process as my previous card HERE. I love how I have a rainbow of colours against black. I layered them one over the other to get some dimension. I then die cut the Thank You die out of white cardstock and adhered towards the bottom of the card. I also added some thin strips of watercolour cardstock to anchor the sentiment die cut.

Thank you card flat

I added some glossy enamel dots to complement the rainbow colours of the die cut. Here is a closeup of the die cuts.

Watercoloured diecuts!

Hello dear friends,

I have been playing with Penny Black's new dies over the weekend. I love them especially the flower dies. They are so versatile. Watercolouring them was so addictive that  I made three cards. Today I am sharing the one of the cards.

To the new Mr. & Mrs.

For this card I have used Playful Posies die set from Penny Black

playful posies picture

Normally, I die cut and then watercolour. Then I can control my watercolouring and also choose what colour goes where. But for this card, I watercoloured the cardstock first with different colours then die cut the die out. I love the colour variation on the die cuts due to this technique. This gives more of an abstract look to the die cuts instead of traditional colouring of green for the leaves and red, blue or pink for the flowers. Hope I make sense :)

To the new Mr. & Mrs closeup

So I simply adhered the watercoloured die cut on to the black card base toward the bottom. Then stamped the sentiment from You & Me stamp set also from Penny Black on a strip grey cardstock and adhered using foam adhesives. Finally I added some glossy red enamel dots to accent the reds on the die cuts.

I simply love the high contrast on this card and the variation of colours on the die cut.

Runway Inspired Challenge - #80

Hello folks,

Welcome to the new Runway Inspired Challenge - Nonoo

I absolutely LOVE the abstract watercolour pattern on the dress. Love the splash of orange. Here is my take on the Nonoo dress.

Have a Fabulous Day1

I started off with watercolour paper. I smooshed some Cracked Pistachio distress ink on the watercolour paper in two layers. Then I smooshed Black Soot distress ink randomly making sure some of the Cracked Pistachio is seen as well. Then I mixed Spiced Marmalade with watercolour brush and spattered some orange colour. That is my background.

have a fabulous day flat

For the focal pint, I die cut a tag using Wplus9 tag and tied orange twine to it. The butterfly is from Hero Arts Butterflies Stamp and Cut. I simply stamped the butterfly on watercolour paper and watercoloured using the Cracked Pistachio, Black Soot and Spiced Marmalade distress ink,  I then die cut the butterfly out. The body of the butterfly is die cut using black felt. I adhered the butterfly on the tag, stamped the sentiment and smaller butterflies also from the same stamp set from Hero Arts. Here is closeup of the butterfly.

I am pretty happy with the way my card turned out especially the background and butterfly.

Sparkle and Shine Challenge #2

Good Morning everyone,

By now you should have heard about the new Sparkle and Shine challenge blog. This is for all you who love sequins. Today I am sharing my card for their second challenge as design team member of Winnie & Walter. Winnie & Walter are sponsoring the second challenge and it is a sketch challenge.

Here is my take on the sketch challenge.

Happy Birthday card 1

I have used the flowers from The Party stamp set to white heat emboss on watercolour paper. Then watercoloured them using Zig Gansai Tambi water colour. I also repeated this process on a separate piece of watercolour paper and cut three flowers out.

Happy Birthday card closeup

For the sentiment, I added the tag in the middle with die cut the "Happy" from Winnie & Walter. Stamped the smaller sentiment on a strip of white card stock and adhered using foam adhesives. I then framed the sentiment with the cut out watercolour flowers.

Finally, I added Pretty Pink Posh sequins for each of the watercoloured flowers.

Happy Birthday flat 1

Come and play along to win

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Jelly Bean!

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

The Jelly Bean LEAD will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge!

My inspiration comes from the beautiful coloured eggs and pastel colours on the inspirational graphics. Here is my take on the challenge.

Happy easer card1

The egg die is from Papertrey Ink. I used watercolour colour paper and smooshed some pastel watercolour in layers. Once dry I die cut the eggs.

happy Easter flat

To anchor the eggs, I die cut the fence out of Pretty Pink Posh Fence die using wood pattern paper. The sentiment "Happy" is a Winnie & Walter die which is die cut out of watercoloured smooched watercolour paper. The smaller sentiment is stamped on a strip of pattern paper, trimmed fish tail end and adhered using foam adhesives. Finally used enamel dots to bring everything together.

Happy easter flat 3

This is my take on the Jelly Bean inspiration challenge.
