Winnie & Walter February New Release Day #4

Hello and welcome back to Day #4 of Winnie & Walter's 2nd Belated Birthday Bash!

This is last day of sharing sneak peeks. Today we are premiering LS Exclusives: So Tweet with Evelin T Designs stamp set, Flawless Diamond Cutaways,  Flawless Heart Cutaways,  Winnie's Sparkly Shaker Selection and Walter's Sparkly Shaker Selection  Both Winnie's and Walter's Sparkly Sequins collection are brought to you by Little Things By Lucy. Very pretty and soft shaker collections.

I have a card to share using LS Exclusive: So Tweet with Evelin T Designs stamp set. I LOVE LOVE the birds in this set. Adorbs!

You're so Tweet card #1
I started with stamping the birds with balloons paired together, then filling up with hearts. Then I coloured the images with Zig Clean Brush watercolour markers. Filled the background with watercolour. Love the bright colours and contrast on the watercoloured panel. I die cut the panel using the largest rectangle die from Essentials: Katherine Cutaway. Since the background is bright and busy, I decided to use a vellum layer for the sentiment. I white heat embossed the sentiment on the vellum layer and adhered on top of the watercoloured panel. Finally embellished with some black sequins from Little Things by Lucy. I brought the black colour from the watercoloured panel to the front using the black sequins.

Winnie & Walter February New Release Day #3

Welcome back to Winnie & Walter's 2nd Belated birthday Bash Day #3

Today we are premiering Kindness with Evelin T Designs stamp set, True Multifaceted Circle Cutaways and True Multifaceted Heart Cutaway. All three of them are awesome especially the dies. I made two cards one using the stamp set and other using the Cutaway. So have a cuppa and enjoy.

The first card is uses the Kindness with Evelin T Designs stamp set. I love the images on this set especially the succulents.

Kindness card #1

I masked and stamped the larger and smaller succulent images on watercolour paper and white heat embossed. Then used Zig Clean brush watercolour pens to colour the images, the background and also ground the plants. I trimmed the paper, wrapped the twine around to make a bow. The sentiment is white heat embossed on black strip of cardstock and adhered. The rest of the sentiment is stamped inside the card.

For the background, I stamped the same succulent images on kraft cardstock using kraft ink. Then brushed the images with clear shimmer using Wink of Stella. I used the scalloped rectangle die from Essentials: Audrey Cutaway to die cut the background panel. To assemble the card, I simply layered all the panels on white card base and attached a sequins on the centre of the bow.

Kindness card closeup

For the second card, I used True Multifaceted Heart Cutaway to make a shaker card.

Congrats shaker card #1

I made a shaker element using the solid heart shape and layering it with the multifaceted heart die cut using gold foil paper. I have added the new Winnie's Sequins collection by Little Things by Lucy. I love this sequins collection. Perfect pretty colours. The sentiment is from older The Big, the Bold and You Cutaway. I die cut five of it and stacked glued them to get dimension. Both the shaker panel and the pattern paper panels are die cut using dies from Essentials: Katherine Cutaway. LOVE the soft pink colour on white with gold accents. Normally I do not use these colours but I really like how this card turned out.

This is the first time I have used Memory Box stamp sets. I cannot believe I don't have a Memory Box stamp set. But that is because I didn't know they made stamp sets! Of course I have their dies. Their dies are absolutely beautiful and intricate. And stamp sets are so adorable. I particularly loved LOVE GROWS stamps set with its cute gnomes and toadstool and accessories. I enjoyed colouring these images to make my card.

Love grows card #1

I stamped and copic coloured the image from Love Grows stamp set. Then hand cut them out. I then die cut a small square panel using Pinpoint Square die from Pinpoint Square die set from Memory Box. On this panel, I made a cluster scene using the cut out coloured images. I adhered them using glue and foam adhesives to achieve various die mention. I stamped the sentiment also from the stamp set on a strip of white cardstock, trimmed and adhered. This panel is adhered on a Stitched Rectangle (from Simon Says Stamp) panel die cut using My Mind's Eye Woodgrain paper which is adhered to the card front. Finally added some of the beautiful Sparkly Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Winnie & Walter February New Release Day #2

Welcome back to Winnie & Walter's 2nd belated Birthday Bash release day #2.

Hope you liked yesterday's day #1 preview. If you haven't seen it, here is the link!. Today we are premiering Scenery: Into the Woods  stamp set ,Wishing You with Evelin T Designs stamp set and True Multifaceted Border Cutaways.

I liked the True Multifacted Border Cutaway. I wanted to show how well they are designed. There is the solid background border both long and short and the outline die both long and short. The long dies fit the landscape card front and the short ones fit the portrait card front perfectly. How cool is that? I used the short outline die to make my card.

Wishing you card #1

I did a rainbow Multifaceted background with the border die. I sponged distress inks in rainbow colours on strips of white cardstock. The coloured I used are Candied Apple, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry. Then I sprayed some shimmer on all the strips. Once dry, I die cut them using the short outline border die. I saved all the bit and pieces that fell out.

On a white cardstock panel, I adhered all of the die cut in rainbow order. Then I randomly put a few pieces back ink place. There is an order yet fun with randomness. I liked that a lot :)  I then trimmed off the edges of the panel. For the sentiment, I white heat embossed the sentiment from Wishing You with Evelin T Design stamp set on vellum paper and wrapped it around the diecut panel. I added some sequins from Little Things by Lucy Walter's Shaker Collection.

A Bright and Colourful Penny Black Card!

Good morning everyone,

A quick post today. This is my first post for today. There are two more coming later today. So stay tuned :)

I watched Jennifer McGuire's video on watercolour lifting technique and loved it so much that I wanted to try it. I did have all the stuff I needed for the technique. So I gave it a go. I used a background stamp and distress inks on my card below.

Happy Birthday flower card

I have used Floral Thread cling background stamp from Penny Black on my background. I coloured the watercolour paper with Abandoned Coral distress ink, then clear embossed the background image. Then added lots and lots of water and dabbed them off lifting the colour.  I got a beautiful darker background image and lighter coral colour on the rest of the area. I intentionally did not add lots of colour because I wanted a muted background not too much of a contrast. This came out perfectly as I wanted.

Happy birthday flower closeup

For the focal point, I have used Camellia die. I also did watercolouring using distress inks on the flower and leaves. For the flower, I layered the base of the flower with gold outline layer and again with the blue outline of the flower slightly offsetting. This shows a little tiny amount of gold. The sentiment is from Happy Notes stamp set. To added a bit more gold, I added some gold sequins.

Happy birthday flower closeup card

Here are the Penny Black stamp set and dies I have used on my card. All the three products are available from Penny Black store.

Winnie & Walter February New Release Day#1

Hello and welcome to Day #1 Premiere of Winnie & Walter's February new release!

I am excited to share this awesome new release for many gorgeous stamp set, dies and stencil from Winnie & Walter. Today we are premiering In Bloom: Eva's Favorite Flowers stamp set,  In a Word: Kisses Cutaway and Scenery: Pattern of the Rings Creative Screenings.

I LOVE In Bloom: Eva's Favorite Flowers stamp set. There is solid and outline stamps of various flowers and leaves. These can used individually or layer them. Who does not like floral especially stylised flowers? Plus with watercolour technique being the trend at the moment, the solid floral and leaves images are perfect to stamp using distress inks and watercolour with shading. So many techniques can be used using this stamp set. So very versatile too!

Here is what I did with In Bloom Eva's favorite Flowers stamp set and In a Word: Kisses Cutaway.

Kisses card #1

I went with simple layered stamping of the flowers and leaves covering the top of the card panel.  Simple stamping does not have a technique involved. The trick to make simple stamping technique effective is to choose a bright and striking colour combination and get perfect coverage in stamping.  I used MISTI tool to stamp so that I can get even coverage. Then I die cut the panel using the largest dotted rectangle die from Essentials: Katherine's Cutaway. The dot around the panel adds more details. With the sentiment, I die cut In a Word: Kisses Cutaway once from black glitter cardstock and thrice from black cardstock. I stacked and glued them with black glitter die cut on the top. This gives added dimension. I adhered this sentiment on the bottom of the panel. The smaller sentiment is from another new stamp set which will released later this week. I simply stamp the smaller sentiment using black ink. I then mounted this panel on a white card base. I love the white space and the white card base. Hope you like my card using the new stamp set and cutaway. Do you like to win these new goodies? Then head over to Winnie & Walter's Blog for more details to how enter  to win these goodies. Another Next Level embossing folder card!

Good morning!

Hello and how is your weekend going? Mine was not very good. Too many things to do all by myself . Dealing with both physical and emotional aspect of  members at home. Hubby is yet to come home from work. He left for work on Friday. So much school work that I felt sorry to see my son study the whole two days. I had to tell him to stop studying. Dealing with a 14 year teen girl's emotions is exhausting. And I have this Italian assistant who is at home. Honestly he is more harder to deal with than anybody at home. All I can say is he needs to grow up and get in touch with reality!  Then all the taxing around for activities, cleaning, ironing, cooking.... Was very exhausting and I am currently sleep deprived.  At least my children have now gone to school because it is Monday morning for me. I went to gym and worked out my frustration this morning. Feeling so much better now :)

Anyway, I have another card I made using the Next Level embossing folder from We R Memory Keepers. This this actually the first one I made out of the three. I shared the other two using liquid pearls. On this card, I have sponged inks in ombre and embossed using the folder.

Congrats card #1

So I started with sponging Candied Apple, Festive Berries, Worn Lipstick and Abandoned Coral distress inks on a white cardstock panel. Then I ran this panel through cuttlebug using the Wave next level embossing powder. I adhered this panel on white card base.

Congrats closeup

For the focal point, I die cut Simon Says Stamp Scribble Heart die using gold foil cardstock. I adhered this on the top centre of the panel using foam adhesives. Then I layered this scribble heart die with white glitter Painted Congrats die cut. This die is from Simon Says Stamp. Now I needed some contrast on my card. So I used Pretty Pink Posh's Onyx 6mm and 4mm sequins to bring the card together and add contrast.
