Wow! I am participating in Papertrey Ink Blog Hop after a very very long time. I used to be a regular but then things became very busy and never got a chance to participate. And this is the first time ever I am able to use Papertrey Ink release stamps on the release month blog hop. I received my package in a week's time. I am shocked but not complaining. When my doorbell rang and from the other end the man said USPS delivery. I couldn't believe! I said to him, "say that again?" lol! I am so happy.
So cracked opened the Fancy Folk Art stamp set to make my project for this month's blog hop.

The theme for this month is

January-Blog-Hop-Inspiration

Here is my card for the theme.

I have embossed the large Fancy Folk Art image using black embossing powder on black cardstock panel. I then die cut an open circle out of the embossed panel. The same image is stamped using Memento Black Ink on its die cut and coloured using copics. The sentiment is from Pretty Peonies. Love love the bright colours against the black background. And how the embossed images adds texture and subtle pattern to the black card front. Here is a closeup photo of the card.

Hope you like my card. Thanks for stopping by! It is time for me to go to bed because itis 11:00PM!

G' night from Australia.

  1. Gayatri, when I was working on my card I sat back and thought, I hope Gayatri plays along because she would make the PERFECT card using a black background. I am so glad you proved me right! I knew you would come up with something beautiful and graphic and bold at the same time. I just love this card. I have that set and am so thrilled to see it used like this!
