G'Morning!
Mad Monday today! And it finally rained last night and the temperature is much cooler. There is still lots of clouds hanging around. So Hoping another downpour will get rid of the humidity:)
I told you I am a bit obsessed with speech bubbles! Actually I started out making this card first. Here is the card first and then I will explain why it took 2 days to make it.
Well, I wanted neon coloured vellum speech bubbles. So I rubbed the pink, blue, yellow and green neon ink pads directly on a sheet of vellum. And it took 2 days to dry. That is why the delay. Initially I thought the idea wouldn't work. But high temperatures help dry the inks quickly. I was very glad to see the beautiful neon colours on the translucent vellum. I quickly gave the entire sheet a wipe with a dry towel and die cut the speech bubbles (MFT) I have layered them on the card front using glue dots. And to hide the glue dots, I have added embellishments. The sentiment stickers are from last month's Studio Calico kit. And the embellishments are also from the January and February Studio Calico kits.
I am very happy with how this card turned out. And I am entering it for Moxie Fab World's Card Creations Week-The Speech Bubble Challenge.
Thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteOkay, I have to say - at first this card didn't grab me. I think it's because when I first looked at it it was 6am here and I was tired and in pain, lol. Now I'm looking at it with my non-cranky eyes and I totally love it!! I love how you've completely embraced neon here, and to use vellum was so inspired! Definitely worth all that drying time!!
