Ombre ikat chevron card.

Hey everybody,

Hope you had a great weekend and good start to a great week! We had drama last night. Our dog Charlie, saved us from home burglary around midnight but our neighbours were not so very lucky in spite of having two schnauzers. Nothing was stolen because Charlie's bark woke everybody from their sleep. But the police and dog squad couldn't catch the invaders yet. Yes! there were two-a man and a woman! Still waiting for forensics and police to arrive:(

While I am waiting,e a card for Moxie Fab World's Card Creations - The Chevron Challenge.

I find it hard to photograph this card orientation. So here is another photo.

I wanted to do something different with the chevrons. So I picked the Ikat stamp Set from Avery Elle. There is this stamp which looks like chevron. Then I decided to use ombre colours. My colours were from Hero Arts-Ruby and Pale Tomato and Stampin' Up! Real Red, Ridinghood Red, Poppy Parade and Rose Red. I started with the Real Red in the middle and worked my way through the top and bottom.

This is a bright and busy pattern. I wanted to sober it down a little by adding black. That strip of black is actually glitter tape from Studio Calico. The photo is not doing justice to the glitter. Looks much awesome in real. The pattern paper is from Sundrifter 6 x 6 paper pad. Love the black flower and leaves outline on white background. Perfect for sobering the intense red colours. The sentiment is from Framed Fonts Stamp set also from Avery Elle stamped on pattern paper from Studio Calico.

So here is an Ikat chevron take for the Chevron Challenge at Moxie Fab World!

Thanks for stopping by!

Ta!
