Gallery Idol Round #2

Dear Friends,

 I am still in shock over making into the Gallery Idol Top 20. 

Here is my project for round #2.

 The theme for round #2 is "DEFINING DAD" 

Here is my card for round #2

After a bit of deliberations, I wanted a card which is lively and cheerful yet masculine. So I went for Teal, Mustard, Orange, Coral and Grey colours. They are cool and trendy too. Secondly, defining dad made me think of characteristics of a dad. So I asked my children. But I gave them Papertrey Ink's Top 10 Stamp Set and Top 10 Additions Stamp Set. This set has cool adjectives to describe anybody for that matter. They literally pick most of the adjectives:). That was easy. Then I stamped and cut out all masculine images from Lets Face it stamp set from The Craft's Meow and "#1 DAD" from Masculine Graphic Tee Stamp Set from MFT. The grid background is using the Pretty Perfect Grid background Stamp from The Market Street Stamps. And then the card came together. I love graphics of a man using the hat, glasses, goatee and the collar & tie in black against the colourful adjectives that describes him.I am in love with this card. This card uses purely stamps, inks and cardstock to get a clean, simple and bold effect which is my style.
