Tag You're It Challenge meets CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge

This is my second post. Here is my CASE Study post.

Hello dear crafty friends,

Today I have a special post where CAS(E) this Sketch challenge is collaborating with Tag You're It challenge. This is very special to me for two reasons: First, I am a design team member for CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge Blog and Tag You're It Challenge. Secondly, it is my sketch that is been used today for both the challenges. I am one happy and lucky girl!
So here is the sketch for you from both CAS(E) this Sketch and Tag You're It challenges.

I love this sketch. There is so many technique you can use on the diagonal pattern element. Similarly, the other elements on this sketch. Here is what I did with the sketch.

Happy Bird-day card and tag

I made a card and coordinating tag using the sketch for the challenges. I have used the new release Reverse Confetti stamp set called Fabulous Flamingo and its coordinating dies. I love love flamingos. These are so adorable. I have also used the Tag Me die from Reverse Confetti for the tag and the one on the card as well. The sentiment is stamped on the banner die also from Tag Me die set. The pattern paper came in a Studio Calico card kit from last year. Finally those beautiful sequins is from Pretty Pink Posh.
Here is the tag by itself for Tag You're It challenge.

Bird-day tag

I die cut the tag twice, one using the textured cardstock and one using the pattern paper. I trimmed it, layered and glued. I die cut the flamingos in watercolour paper and colour washed it with Worn Lipstick distress ink. The layered piece of flamingo is die cut using pink glitter paper. I have added googly eyes to add some fun. Finally, accented with 6mm and 4mm Sparkly Clear, Pink Blush and Peonies sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Here is the coordinating card for CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.

Happy Bird-day!

I did exactly the same process on the card except it is a card. To make the flamingos pop, I added a beautiful yellow colour washed tag on the background. I added a pink hemp to the tag and also glued it to position.  Apart from the beautiful 4mm and 6mm Sparkly Clear and Pink Blush sequins, I added some silver heart confetti also from Pretty Pink Posh.

It is you turn to play along. Head over to CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge Blog and Tag You're It Challenge Blog to see what the other designers did with the sketch and tag. You can also find the linkies to link your project at the blogs.

Have a wonderful day!

CASE Study #202

Hello everybody,

Welcome to the last CASE Study with Shari Carroll. I am sad this is the last card from Shari but it has be super cool to CASE her cards this month. This is the last muse card from Shari.

I LOVE the big bright red flower against the kraft background, especially the shades of the red. Similarly the green coloured flower used as leaves. So my card is based of these inspiration.

Celebrate card

I wanted to make a normal sized card. But the biggest flowers I had in my collection were from Uniko Studio's Pure Florals. They are not big enough. Shari's card is smaller, so the single flower is big on the card. I decided to stamp a cluster of flowers and leaves. Using masking technique, I stamped the flowers and leaves in Versafine Black Ink and heat embossed with clear sparkly embossing powder. I already loved the black embossed cluster on the kraft panel. I then used copics to colour the flowers and leaves. I have used three reds and two greens. The flower centre is yellow. Did I tell you that I love colouring on kraft cardstock? But this one was soooo beautiful, that I felt so proud having created it. To add some shimmer, I coloured the flowers using Wink of Stella clear pen. You can see it in the photo below.

Celebrate flat

For the sentiment, I stamped the sentiment from Birthday Fontiment also from Uniko Studio on the banner die cut from Reverse Confetti. I love love the font of this sentiment. I adhere the banner on the top right corner slight off set. I trimmed off the excess. Finally accented with some red enamel dots. The finished panel is adhered to the card based using foam adhesives.

Celebrate close up!

I am pretty proud with how this card turned out. Hope you are inspired. Come and join me in the challenge.

CAS(E) this Sketch #86

This is my fourth post for today. Here are my Runway Inspired Challenge post, CASE Study post, Premiering V for CheVron stamp set from Winnie & Walter post.

Welcome back! On Thursdays, we from CAS(E) this Sketch bring you a new sketch. This is the new sketch for this week designed by Sam Simpson.

Fabulous CAS sketch. I had my PTI Make it Market: Beautiful Brush Strokes kit arrive in the mail. So I played with the stamp sets and papers that came with the kit using this sketch.

Thanks card

I took the sketch literally but instead of the hexagon and bee, I decided to use flowers and leaves. I stamped the flowers and leaves, diecut them and clustered them together. I have used the blue colourwash pattern paper from the paper pad in the kit. Trimmed a strip of the black and white polka dot paper which I glued to the card front. I adhered the cluster using foam adhesives, diecut the frame, stamped the sentiment and glued as shown. Finally adhered the clear dew drops.

Thanks

It is you turn to play along. Head over to CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge Blog to see what the other designers did with the sketch and picture. You can also find the linky to link your project at the blog.

Have a wonderful day!

Today were are premiering a fab new graphic stamp set called V for CheVron. I love love this set. This set has large solid and outline chevron and various design smaller chevrons stamps as well. I love graphic stamp sets. Hands down! So it is a must have in my collection. Here is my card using the large outline chevron stamp.

Welcome vertical

I white heat embossed the large outline chevrons on watercolour paper. Then used distress inks to colour inside the chevrons. Once dry, I cut them out and mounted on the card front using foam adhesives. I then stamped the sentiment from The Big, the Bold and Blessings stamp set. Accented with sequins. I let the colours on the chevron speak for itself. Love how the chevron points to the sentiment.

Today I have another gorgeous digital card from Shari Carroll as the new CASE Study Challenge muse. Yay! I love CASEing Shari's cards. Don't you? So come and play along the challenge.
Here is Shari's muse card and you can read how she created it HERE.

After I read how Shari made this card, I was so inspired by the use of digital designs. So I decided to do the same. Here is my CASEd card.

Good day Sunshine card

I browsed through  Kerri Bradford design blog and found this fab digital phrase - Good Day Sunshine. This is a freebie. Yay! Kerri has plenty of freebies for you. Explore them. I simply printed the phrase on a white cardstock and yellow cardstock. Trimmed to size. Then diecut Sunburst die from Simon Says Stamp on the yellow cardstock. I went through the phrase with Wink of Stella shimmer. The yellow diecut  is mounted on top of the white cardstock using foam adhesives aligning with the phrase. Pretty Pink Posh's Oynx sequins is added as accents. This panel is glued on the black card base.

Runway Inspired Challenge #64

Good morning! I have several post today, starting with Runway Inspired Challenge reminder.

Happy Birthday closeup

I did not have a chance to show you my card for this challenge as I was overseas and forgot to photograph my card in time to post for the challenge. Now that I am back and into the routine, I have done that. Here is the current challenge.

Here is my take on the challenge.

Happy Birthday vertical

I have used the scribble flowers and leaves from Simon Says Stamp on my card. I have watercoloured the flowers and leaves using distress inks. To add to the glitter, I have used the grey glitter paper. The sentiment is also from Simon Says Stamp set and dies. No card of mine nnow a days is complete with Pretty Pink Posh's sequins. I think for this card they are perfect.

Happy Birthday card

Hello everybody,

There is still time to play along Curtain Call Challenge - Anything Goes.

Here is my second card for the challenge.

The background is created using stencil and sponging inks. I have sponged some lighter and darker shade of the same ink to give some shading. I added some glitter to the butterflies. Then stamped the sentiment from My Favorite Things on white cardstock, trimmed and mounted on the card front using foam adhesives with bunched up thread under the sentiment panel. Premiering The Scenery: It's a Wonderful Pennant

Hey my dear friends, Welcome back to day #2 of Winnie & Walter July new release post.

weblogo

Today we are premiering another new stamp set called It's a Wonderful Pennant. This stamp set has so many patterned triangle pennant which can be used not just as pennant but in various other ways. Here on my card I have used them as Christmas trees combining with the sentiment from The Big, the Bold and Blessings stamp set premiering yesterday

Joyful blessings vertical

I have white heat embossed the outline triangle pennant on watercolour paper. Then watercoloured them using Festive Berries and Mowed Lawn distress inks. I then cut them out and layered them to the center of the card panel. I have used the gorgeous gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to add festivity to the trees. I have used the sentiment from The Big, the Bold and Blessings stamp set using fog ink form Simon Says Stamp. Simple but the watercoloured triangles add to the punch.

Joyful blessings1

I have another card here using It's a Wonderful Pennant and The Big, the Bold and Blessing cut files

Holiday Blessings1

I die cut the cut files using my Silhouette then sponged some distress inks on them. I have mounted the pennants using the foam adhesives,  blessings die cut on top. I stamped the holiday sentiment on a strip of white cardstock, made the banner ends and adhered. Finally to add to the Christmas festivity, I have added the golden star confetti from Pretty Pink Posh.

Premiering the Big, the Bold and Blessings

Hello! Welcome to the July new  release from Winnie & Walter

weblogo

This is the first day of release and we are featuring a new stamp set from The Big and the Bold series called The Big, the Bold and Blessings. This stamp set keeps with the gorgeous brush stroke style of large sentiments paired with smaller sentiments in a courier font. I love this set. Here is my card using this stamp set.

Grateful card 1

I have heat embossed the sentiments using copper coloured Zing embossing powder and used the flowers from The Write Stuff: Leave it to Mom stamp set to stamp the flowers and leaves. I have used the beautiful flower and Sparkly sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to accent. Layering with pattern papers is something I am fond of at the moment. So I picked pattern papers with similar colours to the flowers for layering. Here is a closeup.

Tag You're...it Challenge #2

Hey everybody,

Hope you enjoyed playing along the Tag you're It challenge #1 with Virginia's Tags. Today, I have a new tag challenge for you from Tag You're It Challenge. The inspirational tag for this challenge is from the very talented Laura Bassen. This is Laura;s gorgeous tag.

I love Laura's use of colours on the background with emboss resist. The gorgeous vellum leaves and the offset sentiment is awesome. I tried to recreate that on my tag below.

XOXO

I have used Hero Arts/ Studio Calico diamond background stamp on the background which I have white heat embossed. Then I colourewashed three distress ink - Worn Liptstick, Picked Raspberry and Festive Berries. I love how distress inks blend. For the elements on the cluster, I have used the Lily Die Namics from MFT which I coloured using copics. The wood veneer leaf is from Simon Says Stamp June card kit. The vellum leaves are die cut using Palm Dies from Hero Arts. The bird cage is diecut using Memory Box cut out of silver glitter paper. The XOXO sentiment is die cut using MFT Hugs & Kisses die namics which is stacked glued and brushed with Wink of Stella pen. I then mounted this tag on my card front. I love the grey background on the card front which makes the card pops. The black glitter strip coordinates with the black sentiment. really love how my tag turned out inspired by Laura's tag.
