Tag You're It Challenge meets CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge

This is my second post. Here is my CASE Study post.

Hello dear crafty friends,

Today I have a special post where CAS(E) this Sketch challenge is collaborating with Tag You're It challenge. This is very special to me for two reasons: First, I am a design team member for CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge Blog and Tag You're It Challenge. Secondly, it is my sketch that is been used today for both the challenges. I am one happy and lucky girl!
So here is the sketch for you from both CAS(E) this Sketch and Tag You're It challenges.

I love this sketch. There is so many technique you can use on the diagonal pattern element. Similarly, the other elements on this sketch. Here is what I did with the sketch.

Happy Bird-day card and tag

I made a card and coordinating tag using the sketch for the challenges. I have used the new release Reverse Confetti stamp set called Fabulous Flamingo and its coordinating dies. I love love flamingos. These are so adorable. I have also used the Tag Me die from Reverse Confetti for the tag and the one on the card as well. The sentiment is stamped on the banner die also from Tag Me die set. The pattern paper came in a Studio Calico card kit from last year. Finally those beautiful sequins is from Pretty Pink Posh.
Here is the tag by itself for Tag You're It challenge.

Bird-day tag

I die cut the tag twice, one using the textured cardstock and one using the pattern paper. I trimmed it, layered and glued. I die cut the flamingos in watercolour paper and colour washed it with Worn Lipstick distress ink. The layered piece of flamingo is die cut using pink glitter paper. I have added googly eyes to add some fun. Finally, accented with 6mm and 4mm Sparkly Clear, Pink Blush and Peonies sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Here is the coordinating card for CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.

Happy Bird-day!

I did exactly the same process on the card except it is a card. To make the flamingos pop, I added a beautiful yellow colour washed tag on the background. I added a pink hemp to the tag and also glued it to position.  Apart from the beautiful 4mm and 6mm Sparkly Clear and Pink Blush sequins, I added some silver heart confetti also from Pretty Pink Posh.

It is you turn to play along. Head over to CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge Blog and Tag You're It Challenge Blog to see what the other designers did with the sketch and tag. You can also find the linkies to link your project at the blogs.

Have a wonderful day!

  1. This is a very versatile sketch. I'm not a CAS type creator but tempted to give this a go. If the result is any good, I'll link it. I agree with you, these flamingos are adorable. Both the card and tag are equally adorable too.

  11. Great sketch, Gayatri! Your flamingos are too fun. The soft color wash is beautiful, as are the glittery wings, but those goggly eyes are the best!
