So happy to bring you the first Tag You're It... Challenge. The guest designer for the first challenge is Virginia Lu. Most of you know she is a very talented, versatile and sweet person too. Here is the link Virginia's blog - Yes Virginia. Here are her tags as the inspiration for this challenge.
I was inspired by couple of things from her tags - first the array of colours on the sentiment and secondly the inlayed die technique. So my card below has a tag as the focus element where my ampersand has the rainbow colours and also inlayed on the tag.
I have stamped sentiments from My Favorite Things Always & Forever stamp set on the background using MFT's Hybrid ink Natural. I then die cut a tag using Wplus9. I diecut the ampersand at the centre of the tag. I diecut two more ampersands and layered and glued them. For the topmost ampersand, I used copic markers and coloured rainbow colours on a scrap white cardstock. Then diecut an ampersand which is glued on the top of the stack. I inlayed this stacked ampersand in the tag, stamped Mr. and Mrs. sentiment using archival black ink. I adhered this tag to the card base, added the twine. For the sequins, I used glitter paper from DWCV glitter pad and sequins dienamics from MFT. That's my take on Virginia's inspirational tag.
Now, head over to Tag You're It Challenge Blog to see how Virginia's tag inspired our designers and our guest designers as well.
Now it is your turn to play. Cannot wait to see your take :)
