Winnie & Walter New Release - Day #4

Hey folks!

Today is the last day premiering new release products from Winnie & Walter.

Today we are premiering three stamp sets called Stampets - Penguin, The Gift and Turkey. These are smaller stamp sets. I have a project using Stampets: Penguins.

Penguin card

I have white heat embossed the penguins and scarf on watercolour paper. I then watercoloured them and cut them all out.

Penguin card closeup

For the background, I watercoloured using Peerless watercolour sheets. When dry I have used Big Bang Sci-fi Star Creative Screening and slapped some white embossing paste. I let the paste dry as well. Once dry, I added some Rock Candy stickles for added glitter snow. I trimmed this panel. I added Pretty Pink Posh stitched curved die cut from Stitched Border 1 as snow mount. Then foam mounted the penguins with scarves. The sentiment from the Stampets: Penguin is stamped on a scrap piece of trimmed watercolour background paper using black ink. I then adhere this strip on the snow mount. this finished panel is mounted on the card front using foam adhesives.

Winnie & Walter New Release - Day #3

Welcome back to Day #3 of Winnie & Walter new release.
Here is Day #1 and Day #2 of the new release in case you missed it.

Today we are premiering two more stamp sets call Happy Christmas and The Big, the Bold and Merry. And I am so happy to introduce Cutaways :) Yes! Winnie & Walter are introducing dies. Yay! I was thrilled when I heard it and am sure you are also very thrilled. The dies are all words dies coordinating with The Big, the Bold series. So awesome to have the brush words in the stamp sets as dies.

My first project here is using the Happy Christmas stamp set.

Happy Christmas dec 25 card angled

I simply love this stamp set because there are so many Christmas elements and sentiment. This one set is enough if you are on a low budget. But there are so many such sets in this release, it is hard to choose one lol! Anyway, I white heat embossed the wreath on the centre of the card front. Then sponged Crushed Olive and Shabby Shutters distress ink. Then coloured the leaves with Shabby Shutter distress ink and brushed with Green Wink of Stella to add shimmer. I then stamped the leaves using Memento black ink and coloured using green copics. I then hand cut the leaves. I did the same process for the flowers using pink and green colour. I also stamped the dec 25 using Bubblegum ink from Hero Arts and hand cut it out.

Happy Christmas dec25flat1

I die cut a tag partially on a long strip of cardstock then trimmed to get a longer tag. I used pink twine to tie, clustered the leaves and poinsettia and adhered using foam on top of the tag. I then stamped the sentiment on a strip of grey cardstock, cut at an angle. I adhered this to the tag using foam adhesives and then the dec 25 circular stamped image also using foam adhesives. Finally embellished using Pretty Pink Posh's Mossy Green, Pink Blush and  Pink Peonies sequins. Here is a closeup!

For the second project, I have used the Cutaways along with Happy Christmas stamp set. Here is my project.

Peace & Joy

I have die cut three pieces of Peace, & and Joy using The Big, the Bold and Merry Cutaways. Stacked and glued them. Then applied some glue on the top layer and added some Rock Candy Stickles. I love the look of the coarse glitter on the die cut.

Peace and Joy! flat

I adhered the die cut words on the card panel. Love the dimension the stacked diecut and the texture the glitter gives. I then white heat embossed the leaves. Sponged blue ink on the panel fading away towards the bottom. Coloured the leaves with green Wink of Stella. Finally added some Sparkly clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. Here is a closeup of the card.

Winnie & Walter New Release - Day #2

Hello and welcome back to Day #2 of Winnie & Walter new release.

Today we are premiering three stamp sets called Mini Scenery: Into the Woods, Scenery: Big Bang Flurries and Winter Woodland. These are fantastic stamp sets to stamp and create your own gorgeous holiday background. Here are my projects using these new stamp sets.

Merry Christmas red

In this card above, I have stamped and white heat embossed the birch trees from Winter Woodland stamp set to make the background for the card.  The other element are from another stamp set which will be premiered another day.

For the second card, I have used the Mini Scenery: Into the Woods stamp set for the background. This time I have heat embossed the mini stamp set in blue. I love the texture the heat embossing gives. Then for the card front , I have stamp the snowflakes from Big Bang: Flurries stamp set in blues and silver ink. I then layered the heat embossed Mini Wood image, added the reindeers from another stamp set. Then again layered with a silver frame.

Winter Wonderland 1

I also love the rock candy stickles added to the woods mimicking snow.

Winter Wonderland closeup2

I have accented with some Pretty Pink Posh's sparkly clear sequins.

Winnie & Walter's New Release - Day #1

Hello and welcome to Winnie & Walter's October new release day #1.
This release is huge and we are going to have lots and lots of fun.

Today we are premiering two stamp sets called Eat Drink Gingerbread Man and Mini Scenery: The Peppermint Zone and a new product called Creative Screenings. Creative Screenings are masks and stencils. There are several masks and stencils released. They coordinate with stamp sets already available in Winnie & Walter shop.

Here is my card using the two stamp sets and Scenery: Big Bang circle Creative Screening stencil.

Eat Drink & 2

I have used Scenery: Big Bang Circle Creative Screening and sponged Festive Berries distress ink to get the background on my panel. Then I have stamped the Peppermint stamp using Angel Pink Memento Luxe ink on a white tag. I white heat embossed the gingerbread man image from Eat Drink Ginerbread Man stamp set on watercolour paper and watercolour the image. I also white heat embossed the peppermint lollies also from the same stamp set and watercoloured them. Once dry, hand cut them out.

Eat Drink & Closeup2

The tag is mounted on the panel using foam adhesives. Glued the gingerbread man and the lollies. I have used a pink twine to tie on the tag and left it long. The sentiment is stamped using Silver Lining ink from Wplus9. I have stamped only half the sentiment. The "Be Merry" is stamped inside the card. Finally embellished with Pretty Pink Posh's 6mm and 4mm Sparkly Clear sequins

Here is a closeup of the card.

Christmas Card Series - Set III

Hello everyone,

Welcome to Christmas card series. This is the third set in the series. Here is the FIRST set and SECOND Set.

For this card set, I have used kraft cardstock with a bit of scrap pattern paper and poinsettia flowers. I have changed the pattern papers, arrangement of the poinsettias and different sentiments to make a set of four Christmas cards. Here is my first card from the set.

Season's Greetings

This video shows how I made one of the card from the set.

Couple of the cards in the set as masculine by just changing the pattern paper. Again you can change the poinsettias with any Christmas elements like Santa, bells, reindeer, holly leaves..... and you have a new set of cards. Make this same card in white instead of kraft cardstock. I have added some gold spatters on the green pattern paper cards. The variations are endless. Hope I have inspired you to start making Christmas cards if you haven't already started :)
Here is another card from the set with a photo tutorial on how to make it.

I leave you with photos of the rest of the cards in the set.

Runway Inspired Challenge #70

Hey folks,

Bringing you the new Runway Inspired Challenge #70

Don't you love that head piece? That is my inspiration from the graphics along with the colour combination. Here is my card for the challenge.

Merry Christmas reindeer card

I stamped my card front with Simon Says Stamp's Wide Striped Background in black. Then to add some sparkle, I used my scor tape to adhere on the black stripes leaving a tiny border on either side. I used glitter on my sticky tape and burnished it with my fingers. Tapped and brushed off the excess. I then die cut this stag from Essentials from Ellen about 5 times from red card stock. Stacked and glued them. Adhere them over bunched up thread. The greetings is from Clearly Besotted which I stamped in red pigment ink. Here is a closeup.

Diwali Blog Hop 2014

Hello dear friends,

Welcome to Diwali Bloghop 2014. This is the second year I am participating in the Diwali Blog Hop organised by Chaitali Narla

Print

Diwali is the festival of lights celebrated in India. The festival celebrates the victory of good over evil by lighting up lots of lights on the darkest night. The mythology of Diwali varies from region to region in India. But essentially we all celebrate the victory of good.

Anyway, you should have come from Chaitali's blog. But if this is your first visit, then don't worry I will give you a list of participant of this hop later in the post.

Here is my card for Diwali

Celebrate 1

I have combined a few different stamp sets and dies to create my card for Diwali. I recreated a diya (an oil lamp) using the paisley dies from Reverse Confetti. The stamp sets are from Wplus9. Embellished using gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh as well as the scallop die. The sentiment die is from MFT. I made a few more to send out to the girls.

Celebrate flat

For past two weekend, we have been inviting guest home as part of Diwali celebrations, going to Diwali fairs and community celebrations. So much fun and food. This Thursday is the actual Diwali day. It is going to be awesome with feast, new Indian Clothes, sharing sweets and wishes. I miss the celebrations at home, lighting up firecrackers, meeting family and friends. The atmosphere is so different. Nevertheless, we will still celebrate as much as we can here :)

Christmas card series - Set II

Hello my dear friends,

Welcome to my second card set in my Christmas card series. Here is my first card set of the series. If this is the first time you are here, my Christmas card series typically features a card set which is easy to make so you can mass produce. I will have a slideshow tutorial and some photos of the cards in my post. This series is once a week series posted on weekend mostly on Saturday. I live in Western Australia so I am ahead of your time unless you live in eastern Australia or New Zealand.

For my second card set, I am leaning towards trendy style again with gold and silver. I am in love with the Leaping Reindeer die from Penny Black. It is so elegant.  I am going to use the reindeer die and some more die cuts, layer them with a sentiment to make my cards.
I have four cards in my set today. They are similar NOT same.
Here is my first card.

Black stripes

Here is my slideshow tutorial.

I leave you with photos of the rest of the cards in the set,
