Very typical Missoni outfit. Zigzag/chevron pattern is his trade mark. Intially, I wanted to use chevron stamp set or dies on my card but them I decided to against it. I wanted to use the colours from the outfit and a pattern on the background instead. Here is my take on the challenge.
Very typical Missoni outfit. Zigzag/chevron pattern is his trade mark. Intially, I wanted to use chevron stamp set or dies on my card but them I decided to against it. I wanted to use the colours from the outfit and a pattern on the background instead. Here is my take on the challenge.
For the background, I die cut this fishnet pattern using MFT's Fishnet Cover plate die. I then randomly trimmed off the edges as I wanted an uneven background. I adhered this on the white card base by applying glue to only a few places at the centre of the die cut. I wanted the edges to be raised.
Next, I stamped and copic coloured the flowers from Magnolias for Her stamp set from Altenew. I picked the colours from Missoni's outfit. I like blending different colours. A bit difficult but super fun. Then cut out the flowers by hand. I clustered the flowers and bud and adhered using glue on the bottom of the flowers and foam on the top to give the raised effect. The sentiment is from Birthday Greetings stamps et also from Altenew. To bring the card together, I used doodlebug's yellow and pink sprinkles dots. Here is a closeup photo.
