Say it with .... a Sketch!

Hello!

 Welcome to another week of Say it with challenge from AnnaBelle Stamps.

This week it is Say It With.... a Sketch!

This is the sketch for you this week.

 Here is my take on the sketch

 

We DTs were asked to use any of Silhouette Stamps from AnnaBelle Stamps. I chose Tree-MEN- dous stamp set from AnnaBelle Stamps. I have turned the sketch vertically. Then for the semicircle element I have sponged the big orange sun. And for the rectangular element, I have used the tree and for the three dots, I have used the sentiment in three lines.

ColourQ #152

A quick post sharing a card for ColourQ #152. 

Here are the colours.

And here is my take on the challenge.

I have used brick stamp from Prima Marketing and Trendy Trees from PTI. I have layered the Bermuda Bay tree top with green underlay but it does not seem to show in the photo. Love how this card came together. Great colours this week too. I missed last week's challenge. Love that combination as well.

 I haven't crafted as frequently as I do generally because life became hectic. Hopefully after this weekend, things settle down. And I get to spend some time in my craft room.

I love the layout of the card. I was inspired by these cards by Susan from Simplicity Blog.I liked the dividing line. So I did my own version of it. The definition stamp set is from Hero Arts. Cupcake and sentiment from PTI. It is a nearly one layer card. Love it. I want to use other definitions and make more cards as a set. Great idea! Thanks Susan!

Bragging time today:)

G' Morning! It is Mad Monday today. After a very long day at Music Awards yesterday, I am still exhausted. Kids off to school and hubby to work. Cooking lunch at the moment. So I thought I will share some photos from Music Awards yesterday. Ready for a photo heavy post?

 

Siddarth got his trophy for Under18 Fretted Strings and Aditi received hers for Under 11 Piano. Aditi also came second in her singing. Both very happy. I love when they told me that it was their everyday practices that got them where they are right now. Proud parent moment:)

Normally I don't post personal photos on my blog. But these ones are special. So Thanks for sharing my excitment:)

Hello!

Morning Everybody,

It is Saturday morning for me. A very busy weekend for me. Tomorrow is Music Awards for the kids and today we are preparing for it. Ironing clothes, hair to done, practice solo and groups..... So this post will be a short one.

 I am sharing this card for Moxie Fab World-The Card Design Handbook Week-The Repetition Challenge.

I am in love with the speech bubbles. So I pulled out MFT's Let's Chat stamp set and dies to make my card. I added Hero Arts Plaid background stamp to add interest and texture. I also coloured the speech bubbles with Shabby Shutters Distress Marker to add colour to the card.

I love the sentiments on them and how the card turned out. There is repetition and balance on the card. 

I am also submitting this card for The Play Date Cafe Challenge # 146.

I have used stamp set called Helen's Party AnnaBelle Stamps. Colouring seems to be my favourite thing now-a-days. The more I colour, the better I get at it. So you will be seeing a lot of colouring on my card in future. lol!I have used banners as a way to add interest and colour to my card, not for its traditional purpose.

Say it with.......

Welcome to another Say it with Challenge from AnnaBelle Stamps.

 

This week say it with spots and dots and anything round.

We, DTs were asked to use Shape It Up, Lil Monster's Balloon or Boy's Party stamp sets from AnnaBelle Stamps. I chose Lil Monster Balloon's for my card. Here is my card.

I have kept everything in the card simple so the focus is on the Little Monster and his balloon on the circular panel. The circular panel leads to the speech bubble with the sentiment on it.

CASology - Green!

Good Morning!

I have a card for this week's CASology challenge #7 - Green



Here is my card.

I have used All Things Grow stamp set from AnnaBelle Stamps for my card. And for the green background, I used distress markers. I have used Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters and Crushed Olive markers on my acrylic block and misted them with water and stamped on my white panel. That gave me the ombre background and the black silhouettes stamped on it.  It is nearly a one layer card. Love this stamp set from from AnnaBelle Stamps for its delicate silhouette images.

A quick share today. 

I am sharing a card I made for Moxie Fab World's The Card Design Week -The Movement Challenge.

Supplies:

Cardstock: Stamps Select White from PTI

Stamp Sets: Made with Love Hear Arts, Leaf Prints Stamp Set from PTI

Inks: Rich Razzleberry, Rose Red and Old Olive frmo SU. Archival Jet Black Ink

Accessories: Leaf Prints dies from PTI

Before I started my card, I listed out what creates movement in reality literally!!! But then, today is a windy day and I see a lot of leaves and branches swaying in the wind. So I picked leaves as my element on my card and chose autumn colours.  I also placed the leaves in such a way, there is movement from one leaf to another and finally to the sentiment.

For Lawnscaping Challenge

Hi Everybody,

I didn't have work this morning so I cleaned, washed and crafted this morning.

I made a few cards. But can only share this one today.

I made this card for Lawnscaping Challenge - Make your own pattern paper using stamps.

I have used the ticket and 'You're Sweet' stamps from Admit One stamp set to make my pattern paper for the background. I have used the Ferris Wheel stamp as my focal point. I used Distress Markers to colour the Ferris Wheel. Because the Ferris Wheel is round, I rounded all the corners. Not my usual colour combination.But I like it a lot.

I am also entering this card for Moxie Fab World The Focal Point Challenge.

Thanks a Bunch!

Yay! Today is Mad Monday! Although it is a mad day, I like it because I get a lot done today. 

 I went to my craft room (which is actually home office) to get some paper work done and guess what I came out with this card. lol! Of course I did finish the paperwork too.

Here is the card.

This stamp set is from Annabelle Stamps called Mother's Day Bouquet.  I liked the simple jar with three different options of flowers and I chose lilly.  I coloured the flowers and then punch out bits to spotlight the flowers.  Love how the coloured flowers pops out against the white and grey background.

This card is not for any challenge or any DT. I just wanted to make a card for myself.

Edited: Although I made this card for myself, but I saw this challenge at Moxie Fab World. So I am entering this card for Moxie Fab World's Card Design Handbook Week- The Focal Point Challenge.

Miss You!

Hey everybody,

How is the weekend? Mine is very hectic at the moment. A bit overwhelmed making phone calls and driving in and out of the house for lessons, shopping, guest for lunch, music practise..... I decided to take an hour off to rest before everything restarts. I decided to blog during my rest time:)

So sharing a card I made for A Blog Named Hero Challenge #10 - The Krafty Crafter.

Does this card look familiar? It should be, especially if you are familar with Hero Arts stamps. I recently bought this Hero Arts/ Studio Calico Stamp set called Heyday Sentiments. This how the stamp set looks like.

I just loved how the sentiments were arranged on the set.  I wanted to replicate it but highlight the sentiment I wanted. Thats exactly what I have done on my card. I have left out the last two sentiment as it did not fit the card dimensions.
 I used SU's Soft Suede ink to stamp my sentiments and heat embossed the popped up sentiment. I also sponged the edges with white craft ink to give the dreamy feel to the card. I loved how my card turned out. Hope you do too!

Well, I started off writing this blog post about 1.00PM taking that one hour rest. But by the time I am typing this bit, time is 8.00PM :( I didn't get that one hour rest. I had an unexpected guest drop by and by the time I came back to complete this post, it is 8.00 in the evening. I am exhausted. But I survived today. Hoping tomorrow is relaxed.
