Virginia's View Challenge #2

Good Afternoon!

I played along Virginia's View Challenge #2 - Stencil today.

I love stencils and have been collecting them. Yes! Collecting them! So when I saw this challenge I am like Yay, I can now use them :) So here is my first card using the new Simon Says Stamp Hour Glass Stencil from their Spring release. 

I have basically sponged distress inks on the stencil by moving the stencil slightly up after sponging each colour. Then stamped the sentiment from Handwritten Border stamp set. I then found the sentiment was not bold enough and the colours were overpowering. So I went over the sentiment with black pen to make it bold. I then brushed the sponged area with Wink of Stella. This is a one layer card. I like the impact sponging colours make on this card. Love the result. Hope you do too :)
