Mudra Stamps - Guest Designing!

Hello everyone,

Welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing couple of cards using the new Mudra Stamps. I am proud to say they are manufactured in India and of good quality. I am also thrilled that Varshitha invited me to guest design using couple of their new stamp sets. Thank you so much Varshitha for giving me the opportunity as well as your generosity.

When the package arrived, I was curious to open and see the sets. When I did, the stamps smelled beautiful. Yes they are perfumed. And they are photopolymer not acrylic stamps. And they stamp well. They take ink well and gives even coverage. I am so happy with the quality.

I am sharing with you couple of watercolour cards using one of the stamp set called Peony Love. Over on Mudra Stamps Blog, I have couple of more cards using Peony Love as well as Let's Party stamp set. Head over there to see them.

Here is the Peony Love stamp set.

I have used the flower with the stem to heat emboss in white and black to make two separate cards. I also watercoloured them using Zig Clean Brush pens.

Wishing cards flat

Being clear stamps, you can manipulate the stamp a little without damaging the stamp to get how you want the stem to bend. That is how I got them bend in two different directions on each of the card. I coloured the black embossed stem and flower with bold colours and the other pastel. Similarly the background. I stamped and heat embossed the same sentiment on both the cards.

I then die cut both the watercolour panels with Stitched Rectangle die from Simon Says Stamp and adhered on Fog card base. Embellished with Pretty Pink Posh Sparkly Clear sequins. Here are the closeups.

Love how you can get two different cards by changing just a couple of things - colour of heat embossing and hues of colour. Hope you are inspired and give the Mudra stamps a go.

I used Stampendous Terrarium stamp set to make my card. I love this stamp set for its big mason jar and the smaller tank. Unfortunately I did not use both of the images. Instead I decided to use the smaller stamps in the set, heat emboss them and watercolour. I love colouring flora images and that is what I did. Here is my card.

Happy Birthday flat

After colouring all the heat embossed images and background with Zig markers, I die cut the water colour panel using Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle die. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp stamp set called Ice Cream Dream also heat embossed. I adhered this panel on to Kraft card base and embellished with Pretty Pink Posh Espresso 6mm and 4mm sequins.

Simon Says Stamp release - My Favorite Collection

Hello and welcome everyone,

Have you seen the new release from Simon Says Stamp called My Favorite? Check it out! There are some gorgeous new stamp sets and dies released. All of them are available at Sion Says Stamp Store.
I have a card to share with you using one of the new stamp set called Cuddly Critters. This is such a cute stamp set. It has all the cute critters you need. There is a dog, cat, bunny, bear, a panda and a koala! Perfectly sized images and can be combined with any of the other accessories stamp set you many have with you. Or there is an accessory stamp set also available called Cuddly Critters Accessories Duh! Lol! Both the Cuddly Critters and Cuddly Critters Accessories comes with coordinating dies. I don't have it so I have used an older set from Simon Says Stamp called Texting You to make my card. Hope you like it.

Cuddly Critters flat

I wanted to show you all the critters in the stamp set. So I masked and stamp them all next to each other and copic coloured them. How cute are they? Love all the facial expressions. They looked like emojis. So I used the Texting You stamp set for the sentiment and added an smilie emoji :) Initially I wanted it to be a one layer card, but then I changed my mind after colouring the emoji. There has to more yellow to tie in the yellow emoji. So I trimmed  the card panel and added the plaid pattern paper from Lawn Fawn at the bottom of the card. Now I have a bit more yellow colour and a bit of pink to make the card more fun. Finally embellished with Pretty Pink Posh Sparkly Clear Sequins.

I made a colourful flowery background girlie card.

Mum card flat

I have used Layering for you Flowers stamp set from Hero Arts to stamp and create my pretty background. LOVE layering stamp sets. They make the best background giving the images shading and depth. I used MISTI and Altenew inks to get even coverage and precision stamping of layers.

Mum card

For the focal point, I have bunched up thread, then gold foiled Scribble Heart die cut from Simon Says Stamp followed by a strip of black card stock with "MUM" die cut using the Block Alphabet  die from Simon Says Stamp. I brushed Wink of Stella shimmer on the black strip of cardstock. Finally embellished with Gold Sequins from  Pretty Pink Posh.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE this stamp set from Hero Arts. Such a beautiful set and with various colour combination and same layout, I made a bunch of them. Unfortunately they were given away before I could take photos. Maybe  I will make another set.

Felt flower headbands!

Hello everyone,

How have you all been? I was away for a week on holiday in Singapore. It is term #1 holidays here for my children. Hubby and I decided to have a break from the routine and had a great time. So many fun things to do in Singapore and most importantly so much good food to eat :) Yes, we ate like pigs for five days. Yummy delicious South Indian food and probably put on some weight as well. lol! But now I am back home and wanted to share with you a couple of projects I made using newly released Taylored Expression dies and their colourful felt.

I have used Bloomin' Stacklets 3 and Bloomin' Accessories dies released this month.

And I created flowers and leaves using these dies and the gorgeous felts from Taylored Expressions. Then attached them on to my daughter's head bands.

Well, I made a set of cards for this challenge as I got carried away with Lawn Fawn's Let's Polka Mon Amie pattern paper. So this post has lots of photos.

I have used the Let's Polka Mon Amie pattern paper on all the cards which I die cut using Stitched Rectangle die from Simon Says Stamp. I also used the leftover pattern paper to stamp the banner and sentiment. I hand cut them all the banners. The focal point image the Kangaroo is from Critters Down Under stamp set. I stamped and copic coloured them all and hand cut them all out. To make the image stand out, I adhered them on a stitched rectangle vellum panel with the sentiment banner below the focal image. Finally embellished with sequins from Little Things by Lucy. Here are the closeups.
