Sending love your way....

Hello!
A quick share today, as I am down with a bad cold. Breathing through my mouth.I sound like Darthvaider. I cannot stop laughing when I hear myself lol! Both my kids have NAPLAN (National Assessment Program-Literacy and Numeracy) from today till Thursday. Apparently yesterday  the teacher asked the students to relax and not get stressed. So my son put on his PJs and listened to music  the entire evening while my daughter read books. How cool is that? I used to study until the last minute and get tensed lol! I was till I dropped them at school this morning. My kids take things easy. No stress unlike the mother :)

Ok here is a card I made for two challenges.
The first is Embellish's The Bicycle Trends Challenge and for the Moxie Fab World's The Postage Challenge.

Supplies:
Cardstock: White cardstock from Wplus9
Stamp set: You've got Mail from Lawn Fawn, Postmarks from PTI and Bicycle stamp and die set from Hero Arts/Sizzix.
Inks: Tangerine Tango, Tempting Torquoise, Perfect Plum, Kiwi Kiss and Going Gray from SU. Archival Jet Black Ink.
Accessories: Bicycle stamp snd die set from Hero Arts/Sizzix

I wanted to do something funky with the postage stamps. Not the usual vintage postcard.
My postcard is a snail mail. Comes by bicycle lol!
I have used the colour from Embellish Challenge.
Here is the challenge colours for you.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Time for school run.

See you soon.

Embellish Challenge

I wanted to make a card for a friend who got his promotion recently. The colors and banners from the Embellish challenge is perfect for a masculine congratulation card.
Here is the Embellish Challenge for you

And this is my card.

I like the solid masculine colour banners and how they draw the focus to the sentiment. I am glad with how the card turned out and will be happy to give it to him tomorrow :)

Only one and half weeks more of school and then one and half month of holidays. Kids are looking forward to school holidays. Although I prefer no early wake ups or school runs during school holidays but also like the peace and quiet time to myself during school term. I cannot have the cake and eat it too, can I? lol!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Happy Birthday

I am saturated with making Christmas cards and tags. Although, I still have to make so many more..... I want to do something totally different just to break the cycle. So I browsed through few challenge blogs and made a few non Christmas card. One of them was the totally vintage card in my last post. Then this is another one I made.

I used Embellish Leaves Color Trend Challenge colors to make this card. You can find the details here.

I have used SU's Rich Razzleberry CS and for the first time Concord Crush cardstock and ink. I just don't like that color but it does look beautiful on the card along with the other colors. I have rethink and start using them. The background stamp on Rich Razzleberry is from SU and other stamped images are from Papertrey Ink stamps. The Kraft ribbon is from SU and the lace is from Kaisercraft. So it the rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by once again and appreciate all your comments. They make my day :)
Have a great week!

I coloured!!!!!

I rediscovered my copics today! And some other beautiful girl stamps as well! So I decided to color the images. I went looking for some lovely color combination and loved the latest Embellish Color Challenge. Here is the challenge for  you.

And after few hours of coloring, cutting and assembling, here are my cards for the challenge.

The first stamp is Bizzy Becs Lily Stamp. I have had it for couple of years and I love it. Similarly the Tilda Stamp and Little Freida stamp I bought recently from Craft Meows. The sentiment stamp on the first card is from papertrey Ink Damask Design set, on the second and third cards the sentiment is from a complementary stamp set from Craft Meows.  I had to wait for a week before they could post my order and when the order arrived, they had a cute tiny stamp set as a complement along with my order. Thanks so much. Love this sentiment :) The grass die is from Taylored Expression.
I really enjoyed coloring with copics. I should do more of it.
Thanks for the coloring challenge and thanks for stopping by!
See ya soon!

Rainbow Challenge.

I made a card using Papertrey Ink Baby Onesie die today. This is the first time ever has the order arrived within the month of release. Looks like the Chile ash clouds have brought the parcel quickly through the  jet stream lol! I am so excited because all the inspirations from the countdown is still fresh in my mind. So this afternoon I had a chance make a card for Embellish Rainbow Challenge. Here is the inspirational photo.

And here is my take on the challenge

I went a bit over the top with the rainbow on the onesie, didn't I?  That was because I working on the neck part of it and then, my friend came over... I was working and chatting at the same time. Then this happened!!! Sigh! She liked it but not me. Anyway, I am not going to destroy it but enter it for the Embellish Challenge.

Cardstocks from Papertrey Ink and SU. Rainbow die from MFT, Baby Onesie die from Papretrey Ink. Sentiment is also from PTI Comminque Sentiment set. Ribbon from SU.
If you like to play the challenge then here is the link for you.

Now off to see if I can manage to do more craft his evening :)

Second take on Embellish Challenge.

Evening everybody,

I have a second take on the Embellish Background Stamping challenge.
Here is the photo for you.

Why I did a second take on the challenge? Its  because of Ashley Cannon Newell's Watch me Wednesday last week's video. Here is the link to her card and the video. I love Ashley card especially background stamping and the colors Ashley has used on her card. So I set out to make a similar background for my card but using the colors on the challenge So here is my version.

I had an envelope already which I have used on my card. I used Papertrey Ink Postmarks stamp on the envelope as a background as well.. Here is a closeup for you.

Stamps from Papertrey Ink- Text background stamp, 2010 Anniversary stamp, Just the ticket and Postmarks stamp sets. Cardstock and Ink again from papertrey Ink. The envelope from K&Co, Twine from Twinery, flowers from Prima Marketing, Rose flower and Key from Kaisercraft and Lace from my stash.
The envelope is detachable and can be opened to put money. I love pocket cards. You can put in some nice surprise inside. I love this card because how all came together beautifully. Hope you like the card too.
Thanks for the challenge and thanks for stopping by!

Embellish Background Stamping Color Challenge

Hi everybody,

I am do glad to say that I am so much better after that horrible flu last week. I still have the cough and fatigue but a lot of other symptoms have gone. I have to say again, I hate to fall sick. Anyway, I have a set of tags today I made for the Embellish Background Stamping Color challenge.

Instead of a card, I made a set of 4 tags. I need them for some giveaways in the next weeks.

I diecut the tags from Basic Gray Kraft Pattern Paper and stamped Papertrey Ink's News Print on the background. Diecut using PTI's  Large than Life and Delightful Dahlia die. Stamped the smaller flower from Delightful Dahlia and layered them. The senitment is also from Papertrey Ink.
Here are more picutres of the tags.

Well, Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day :)

Embellish Challenge - Crochet Trim Color Trends

Hi everybody,
Well, I am still alive and kicking lol! Life has just taken over. Parents, in-laws coming tomorrow, my mom's 60th birthday tomorrow, kids having school holidays and I am contantly on the run. No time for craft and to blog. But this afternoon, my friend and neighbour offered to take my kids along with hers to movies to see "HOP". So I quickly managed to make a card for Embellish Crochet Trim Color Trends Challenge.
Here is  the challenge's inspirational photo for you.

Here is my take on the challenge.

I have used cardstocks, Love Lives Here stamp set and dies, satin ribbon from Papertrey Ink, Pattern papers from Crate Paper and Pink Paislee, doilie die from MFT, crochet trim and rhinestone from Kaisercraft and finally inks from Stampin' Up!

Love the color combination. By myself I don't think I will combine these colors. Colors on the photo are not the exact match to whats on the card. Lighting is not very good in my room at this moment. Sorry about that! I am restricted by time.  If I have time I will try and take another photo tomorrow and replace this one.

Thanks for the challenge. Have a great Easter :)

Embellish Decorative Trim Challenge

I was finally able to sit and make a card after almost a week! Gosh! life just took over...extra swimming practice,  taking parents around, double cooking, cleaning, taking kids to other extra activities..... I spent this entire week in my car :( I had two hours to spare this morning and hence I could make a card for the new Embellish challenge. This week is the decorative trim challenge.

And here is my take on the challenge

A pocket card. Love the idea of pocket and able to write a sentiment on it and decorate it.
Here are some closeups...

I love this color combination. Three different types of green. My favorite color is green and always love the trims. They add texture to the card. And there are so many types of trims available now a days. Particularly love the velvet ones and the rhinestone ones from Prima Marketing.

The pattern paper is from Kaisercraft's new release Chanteuse papers, Maya Road kraft envelope, Prima Marketing green trim, flowers and white trim flower, Kaisercraft trims and stamps, Papertrey Ink Happy Birthday sentiments, Jenny Bowlin twine and SU cardstock.

Love how my card turned out. Hope you like it too.
Have a great weekend!

Luv!
