Happy Birthday! A Penny Black card!

Hiya everyone,

A quick post today sharing a fun birthday card using Penny Black stamp set called Buddy and Duck!

I have used Strathmore watercolour paper and black heat embossed the buddy images from the stamp set covering the entire the panel. I then used Zig Clean Brush Watercolour Pens to watercolour all the images as well as the background. I LOVE to do such backgrounds especially watercolouring them, They make a huge impact.

For the sentiment I white heat embossed the Happy Birthday also from the stamp set on black cardstock, trimmed and adhered using foam adhesive. Then embellished with Pretty Pink Posh Sparkly Clear sequins.

There are so many images in the set and they are so adorable. I LOVE this set very much.

Taylored Expressions Release Day! You will be Missed!

Hello everyone,

It is release day at Taylored Expressions! All new products that were sneak peeked for past three days are now available for purchase at the Taylored Expressions store.

Today I am sharing a card I made using a new stamp set called Clocked Out Grumpling! This is a stamp and die combo.



You know that I love the Grumpling series. So this set is also one of my favourite Grumpling set :)

For the background, I white heat embossed all the sentiment from the stamp set covering the entire background. I then sponged Seedless Preserve and Wilted Violet distress inks. Always love emboss resist technique. Everytime the result is magical. I also added some clean water spatter to add texture to the background as well.
For the focal point, I die cut a vellum panel using one of the rectangle die from Stitched Rectangle Stacklet. I white heat embossed the sentiment on the bottom of the panel. The image from the stamp and die combo is white heat embossed on watercolour paper and watercoloured using Zig clean brush watercolour pens. I used the coordinating die to die cut the image out and adhered on top of the sentiment on the vellum panel. The vellum panel is adhered to the background using foam adhesive hidden behind the die cut image. Finally embellished with sequins from Rainbow Brights sequins.

I am celebrating our birthday with two coordinating cards.

I have used happy birthday sentiment from Big Scripty Greetings stamp set to stamp my background on both the cards. Then I sponged some white cardstock with distress inks in ombre in all rainbow colours. I used Scribble Heart die to die cut them all out. I clustered them in three to use as my focal point on both the cards. The smaller sentiment is from Birthday Flowers stamp set. I added some gold thread behind the smaller sentiment and embellished with gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
