Kissing Challenge lol!

Not that type of kissing challenge but I do like the way you think :) This is kissing technique challenge using stamps. Simon Says Stamp store has this challenge on Lily Pad Cards blog. I remember seeing it some where, tried the technique on a card and totally forgot about it. Yesterday I when I was browsing, I came across this challenge on Lily Pad Cards blog. Aha! I remembered the card I made :)
So here is my card for the kissing challenge.

I have used Leaves and butterfly from Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions from Wplus9 and kissed it with woodgrain stamp from Woodgrain Silhouettes again from Wplus9. It is a cool technique. Will have to use it more often.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Stampers Select White, Kraft from Papertrey Ink
Stamp sets: Woodgrain Silhouettes and Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions from Wplus9
Inks: Kiwi Kiss and Soft Suede from SU
Accessories: Circle dies from Couture Creations.

I am here for you....anytime!

I found this new sketch challenge blog called Retro Sketches. I love sketches and constantly look for sketches for my card layout. So I was happy to find another sketch challenge blog :) The more the merrier.
Here is the retro sketch #1

What I did with this sketch was to turn it anticlockwise and made it vertical. And to make my card, I used CR84FN49 challenge colours.

Here is my take on both the challenges :)

I love combining different stamps and more if they er from different companies. On this card, I have combined stamps from Hero Arts, Uniko Studio and Wplus9. I was so happy when the clock from Uniko Studio and the sentiment from Hero Arts matched and was thrilled when the stamp from Wplus9 completed the sentiment :)

Supplies:
Cardstock: Lemon Tart, Stampers Select White from PTI, Basic Gray from SU
Stamp sets: Zig Zag and Cuckoo from Hero Arts. Time and Extra Time from Uniko Studio, Love You More from Wplus9.
Ink: Summer Sun and Cake Crumb from SU. Stazon Black Ink, Smokey Shadow from PTI
Accessories: Craft Concept's Hexagon Illusion embossing folder, circle punch from SU, rhinestones from Kaisercraft.

We are having a long weekend. So tomorrow is also a holiday (labour day).
You know what that means? More time to craft :)

Ok! got to go now and make dinner (it is evening for me in Australia)
Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Celebrate Everyday!

I have been exploring Hero Arts Stamp sets now and I love them:) My main inspiration is my fellow Aussie, Joy Taylor. Her work with Hero Arts stamps is fabulous. Then my friend Cara sent me a stamped image card base. I loved the stamp and found it is a Hero Arts Stamp ( Fabric Design background stamp). I then started following Hero Arts Blog regularly. I have learned lots of  new techniques from the videos on their blog as well. In this month's contest, Hero Arts have three options to create a stamped project.
  • Fabulous Flowers - Let your creativity bloom and include one or more flowers on your project!
  • Velveteen Stamping - Be sure to check out Shari Carroll’s March technique article and video to learn more about this fun new technique! Projects utilizing velveteen stamping can be of ANY theme.
  • Color Challenge - Create a project using the color palette below for inspiration. Corresponding Mid-tone Shadow Ink colors are noted, however the use of these inks is not a requirement. Color challenge projects can be of ANY theme.

I watched Shari's video and decided to give the technique a try. The result is awesome.
Here is my take on the Velveteen Stamping technique.

Here is a closeup of the flower with the white stamped background.

Isn't it gorgeous? The card is much more pretty in real like Shari said in the video.
Thanks Shari for sharing the technique and video :)
