Taylored Expressions October Sneak Peek Day #3

Hello and welcome back!

Taylored Expressions October New release has started! Woohoo! Today, I am excited to share  new sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions October new release with you.

Today I am sharing a card using my favourite Grumplings stamp set. This one is called Holiday Grumplings. And the stamp set comes with coordinating dies are well. Yay! I love coordinating dies especially for outline images which can be coloured. Here is stamp set and dies for you.

How cute are these Holiday Grumplings? I LOVE these cuties. A big fan of Grumplings of course :) This is my card using these cuties

Gayatri Murali TE Oct release card #2

I started my card with stamping and colouring the Holiday Grumplings with copic markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. On a white cardstock panel trimmed to the size of card front, I placed the grumplings randomly at different angles as a guide to stamp the sentiments from the Holiday Grumpling stamp set. Again I stamped the sentiments at various angles to give the random effect. I then adhered the adhered the die cut Grumplings using liquid glue (glossy accent). To fill in the gaps, I used the snow flakes sequins from Build A Scene: Christmas sequins also from the October release. I trimmed off the excess hanging out of the panel using scissors. The main sentiment is from In & Out Christmas stamp set also a new set to be released on Thursday. I stamped this sentiment on vellum using Versafine Black ink and clear embossed the sentiment. I then trimmed the vellum, wrapped it around the background panel and secured it at the back with some tacky tape. This panel is then adhered on to a Cherry Top card base. I accented the sentiment on the vellum with some sequins from Build A Scene: Christmas sequins.

I have started making Christmas cards and so any chance I get I make one. So for this challenge, I  have made a Christmas card using Clearly Besotted stamp sets and dies.

Anything goes CB

I am liking using grey cardstock as background. So for this card, I have picked  Fog cardstock from Simon Says Stamp. I then white heat embossed the images from Cute Christmas Character stamp set which is an exclusive stamp set and die for Simon Says Stamp 2014 STAMPtember , on a watercolour paper and watercoloured the images. Then die cut the images using the coordinating dies. I adhered these images randomly  on the grey cardstock panel trimmed to the size of the card front. I stamped the smaller images from the stamp set to fill in the gaps. This is my background.

For the focal point I simply black heat embossed the subway sentiment from Most Wonderful Stamp set from Clearly Besotted stamp set on vellum heavy weight cardstock and adhered on the card front using foam adhesives behind the arrows. Finally embellishing with Cranberry sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Publication! Woot! Woot!

Good morning!
A quick post this morning sharing a woot woot! The new Christmas Edition of Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft is now released.

I have two set of Christmas cards published in the magazine. I wanted to share with you one of my cards from a set of two today.

Penny Black publication card

This is one of the cards using Penny Black cling stamp set called Festive Floral stamp set and Red Star stamp set for sentiment. The base of the card is acetate with the focal panel using chalkboard technique. I gold embossed the focal image and embellished the berries with Pretty Pink Posh metallic red sequins. The sentiment is heat embossed in white. Then I sponged some white pigment ink randomly to give the used chalkboard effect. Simple card with an unusual base and a technique.

You can check out the second card in this set and the other set of Christmas cards in the magazine. The Vol 22, No 2 is now available to subscribe or for purchase from all the supermarkets and news agencies across Australia and New Zealand :)

Thanks for stopping by this morning. I have couple of more post later this evening. So don't forget to stop by again today :)

Simon Says Stamp - October Card Kit card #2

Hello and good morning everyone!

I have quick post to share today. I have so much to catch up on with regards to DT work.
I have another card to share using Simon Says Stamp October card kit.

Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the Month October 2015 HERE'S LOOKING AT YOU CKOct15 zoom image

Here is my second card. My first card is HERE

Hello You are pretty fantastic card

The base is black cardstock which comes in the card kit. I layered the journalling cards from the card kit in random fashion. I adhered then at the centre so I can curl the edges. I then adhered the gold ampersand also from one of the journalling card on the top towards the right bottom. I then die cut the hello die from the card kit using scrap pieces of cream cardstock and one using the yellow from the journalling card. Then stacked glue them with the yellow die cut on top of the stack. I colour coordinated picked colours from the journalling cards. I adhered this dimensional hello on the top left of the ampersand. The smaller sentiment is from the stamp set in the card kit which I stamped on a thin strip of the card cream cardstock in the kit, trimmed fish tail and adhered to the right bottom of the ampersand using foam adhesives. Then I added the gold chevron arrows from the journalling card randomly as shown on the card. Finally brought the card together using the Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Orchid sequins. Here is a closeup of the card. I love the contrast on the card. Hope you like the card too.
