PTI April Blog Hop

Morning everybody,
Time for another PTI blog hop. This month's theme is

Boys To Men
This month's blog hop is dedicated to all the boys and men in our lives!  Now's your chance to create Father's Day projects, boy birthday cards and more to build up your stash!  Focus on masculine color
schemes, fresh pattern combinations, understated embellishments and unique uses of images you may
already have in your stash!

Yes! I was thrilled to see the masculine theme. Making masculine cards is always a challenge for me. So I love it whenever the opportunity arrives. Here are a couple of Masculine themed projects I had made for the blog hop.
First up is a frame for my son's desk using some masculine stamp sets and papers I have in my stash.

Pattern papers from Webster Pages, stamps from Papertrey Ink, Stampin' Up!, Inkadinkado and Kaisercraft. Twine from Twinery, stickers from Echo Park Me Mine stickers.

Next up! is a Card

Cardstocks, pattern paper, lunch box die, postmark and sentiment stamps are from Papertrey Ink, Black and White Striped pattern paper is from Crate Paper, Circle stamp is from Inkadinkado, clef die is from MTF.

Hope you enjoyed all my projects. Now I am off to see other inspirations and take notes :)

Happy Hopping!

Embellish Challenge - Crochet Trim Color Trends

Hi everybody,
Well, I am still alive and kicking lol! Life has just taken over. Parents, in-laws coming tomorrow, my mom's 60th birthday tomorrow, kids having school holidays and I am contantly on the run. No time for craft and to blog. But this afternoon, my friend and neighbour offered to take my kids along with hers to movies to see "HOP". So I quickly managed to make a card for Embellish Crochet Trim Color Trends Challenge.
Here is  the challenge's inspirational photo for you.

Here is my take on the challenge.

I have used cardstocks, Love Lives Here stamp set and dies, satin ribbon from Papertrey Ink, Pattern papers from Crate Paper and Pink Paislee, doilie die from MFT, crochet trim and rhinestone from Kaisercraft and finally inks from Stampin' Up!

Love the color combination. By myself I don't think I will combine these colors. Colors on the photo are not the exact match to whats on the card. Lighting is not very good in my room at this moment. Sorry about that! I am restricted by time.  If I have time I will try and take another photo tomorrow and replace this one.

Thanks for the challenge. Have a great Easter :)

Tuesday Trigger Porch Play!

Hi everybody! Two cards to share today. I made them for Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger Porch Play Challenge. Here is the inspirational photo for this week

I so love the mirror frame and I wanted that as a focal point on my card. And the colors are truly gorgeous. I love the bright red, beautiful teal and a little splash of yellow. So country style!

Here are my cards based on the inspirational photo.

As said, I have kept the mirror frame as my focal point. As I picked up the papers and embellishments for the challenge, I loved two pattern papers fromWebster Pages and so I wanted to make two cards. Love how they turned out.

Cardstocks, sentiment satmp from Papertrey Ink, pattern papers from Webster Pages and Pink Paislee, sticker trim, flowers and leaves from Prima Marketing, lace trim, red flower, rhinestones, chandlier and mirror frame stamp from Kaisercraft,  red satin ribbon and punch from Stampin' Up!, green velvet ribboon from K & Co, silhouette stamp from Hero Arts and Tim Holtz's Frayed Burlap distress ink

Home Decor

I have another share today for Moxie Fab World 350 cards and gifts week. This time its home decor. I had recently bought the rolled flower dies from MFT and I wanted to use them. I also had some frames with me and so I used both to make a frame art for bedside table.

Now I wonder whether I can do something similar for tween boy!!!  No flowers but want another element instead! Ummmm!!!!!!  Any ideas??? Please let me know  :)

Gosh! kids have just a week  before easter break!!!! I love holidays especially the sleep ins Yay!  And weather is so much cooler here. Autumn is setting in and I am loving it. Great time for getaway. Got to make plans. Excited :)

Moxie Fab Day again:) (edited with another photo)

Well, I have a gift card holder I made  for Moxie Fab World-350 Cards and Gifts Week challenges. This gift card holder coordinates with my card set in my previous post.

I basically used Maya Road Kraft envelope as the gift card holder. I like them because of the different  patterns on the flap of the envelope. And they look beautiful when decorated. This is what I have done. Here is a closeup of the decorated envelope/giftcard holder :)

I have used pattern paper from Crate Paper Portrait collection, paper flowers from Prima Marketing,Pom Pom ribbon from Stampin' Up!, Sentiment and tiny tags from Papertrey Ink, lace and brads from Kaisercraft, Tim Holtz's Frayed Burlap distress ink. Here is another photo of the gift card holder.

I am loving all 350 Cards and Gifts week challenges at Moxie Fab World Blog. It makes me think outside the box.Because I normally make a gift card holder from a cardstock and decorate using stamps and ribbon. I have done many like that. But this time I did not want to make using cardstock. So I went through my stash and picked up an envelope for a gift card holder and decorated it.

If you have some time, check out all the challenges at Moxie Fab World Blog for these challenges. So far there are 4 challenges if I am correct.

P.S: I will add a photo of the other side of the envelope tomorrow. While taking the photo, battery in  my camera ran out. I have put them to charge. I couldn't wait till tomorrow to make this post. lol!  Will take the photo tomorrow morning and add the photo to this post.
Here is the other side of the envelope.

Hope you like my gift card holder. Have a great evening!

Embellish Decorative Trim Challenge

I was finally able to sit and make a card after almost a week! Gosh! life just took over...extra swimming practice,  taking parents around, double cooking, cleaning, taking kids to other extra activities..... I spent this entire week in my car :( I had two hours to spare this morning and hence I could make a card for the new Embellish challenge. This week is the decorative trim challenge.

And here is my take on the challenge

A pocket card. Love the idea of pocket and able to write a sentiment on it and decorate it.
Here are some closeups...

I love this color combination. Three different types of green. My favorite color is green and always love the trims. They add texture to the card. And there are so many types of trims available now a days. Particularly love the velvet ones and the rhinestone ones from Prima Marketing.

The pattern paper is from Kaisercraft's new release Chanteuse papers, Maya Road kraft envelope, Prima Marketing green trim, flowers and white trim flower, Kaisercraft trims and stamps, Papertrey Ink Happy Birthday sentiments, Jenny Bowlin twine and SU cardstock.

Love how my card turned out. Hope you like it too.
Have a great weekend!
