Birthday Party Ensemble!

Hey everybody,

Here is my ensemble!

I have used Dino-Mate Stamp set from Clearly Besotted Stamps to make my project. I have stamped the dionsaurs and coloured using copics then added googly eyes. The banners are from Papertrey Ink. So are the pattern papers. I have here a cupcake topper, loot bag holder, place card and bottle label. I found it difficult to photo all four of the pieces together. So here is another shot of the ensemble.

Trendy Triangles!

A quick post sharing with you a card I made for  Moxie Fab World's Trendy Triangles Challenge.

I wanted to do something totally different. I went a bit tribal! I love white on Kraft. I then saw the cork paper from the past Studio Calico Card kit that I decided to use it instead of kraft cardstock Love the texture the cork gives. I have used stamp sets from Paper Smooches and The Craft's Meow Geometric Stamp set to stamp and heat emboss my triangles. I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock strip using brown ink and adhere to the center. Here is a closeup!

Studio Calico Marks & Co Kits Revealed!

Hey everybody,

Did you know that the gorgeous August Kits Marks & Co from Studio Calico is on sale?
Here are some of my projects made using Marks & Co Card Kit and Fitzgerald Add-On Card Kit.

Marks & Co Card Kit is my favourite so far. Being a stamper, I love the stamp set in this kit. The pattern paper pad has the most beautiful papers in them. Love! have you see spatter pattern paper? There is three different colour spatter pattern papers.

Spatter stamp is trendy and this kit has it.

Perfect coordinating embellishments like pinwheels, butterflies..... Love!

The next set of cards are made using Fitzgerald Add On Card Kit!

I love the watercolour pattern paper is this kit. And how it see through the diecut HELLO on the card. And a contrast ribbon to finish the card.

This card is inspired by Joy Taylor's card from the Summer Card Camp #2 stamping on strips of paper. I have added a little glamour by inking the butterfly gold.

This card is just to show you the different pattern papers available in the Fitzgerald Add-on Card Kit. Just pretty papers don't you think?

You like what you are seeing? Subscribe to the kit and enjoy making your projects.

Happy shopping!

Super Free Saturday!

Hey everybody,

Last Saturday of the month is Super Free Saturday at Uniko Studio! Some new free digital stamps and paper for free! Yay!
Here is what you are getting from Uniko Studio Shop!

Here is my project using the free digital stamps and pattern paper.

Very pretty pattern paper. And I LOVE speech bubbles. I simple enlarged the speech bubble on Photoshop to the card front size and added "Hello". I printed it out and fuzzy cut the speech bubble. I printed the pretty pattern paper on the card front. Then trimmed off a little of the speech bubble on the top and mounted the rest on the card front using foam adhesives. Accented with enamel dots.

Here is a closeup of the card.

My first ever mixed media card!

 Hey everybody,

After seeing the PC call for mixed media card, I wondered if I will be able to do it!!! It is a totally new thing to me. I have some gelatoes, watercolour paper, paints and some distress ink daubers. And after some encouragement from friends at facebook, I took the plunge this morning :)
I also realised this morning that trying something new is the homework at Summer Card Camp 2.

Here is my first ever mixed media card.

I seriously didn't know what I was doing. lol!  I just layered and layered paint, stamped, watercoloured with gelatoes, stamped with gelatoes and inks, layered again and finally stamped. The best part was to go through some of my extra diecuts and use them on the card :) I was scared what the end result was going to be. And out of my comfort zone since my style is CAS. And is there a way to do CAS mixed media card?
Here is a closeup of my card.

What do you think? Please let me know! Should I continue to make mixed media card or not?

Summer Card Camp #2 Week #3 Day #1

http://onlinecardclasses.com/summercardcamp2/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/SCC2_participant1.png

After watching Jennifer's video last night (for me in Australia), I couldn't wait to stamp the gorgeous pattern using triangles border stamps. So quickly sent the children to school and hubby to work and quickly made this card.

I have used the triangles border stamp from Mama Elephant's Trifecta set. I stamped the purples and blue and brown like an ombre to give an colourful look. While making this card, I received my package from My Favorite Things. I opened and there was the gorgeous inks, dies and stamps. And a mint in a pink wrapper. How personalised is that? Love it. Thank you. So the sentiment for this card is made using dies form My Favorite Things. Love how Jennifer did the banner wrapping around the card front. Super cool!
