Interactive card!

Hello! Second post for today. I had a very craft oriented day today. Managed to do 3 cards :)
This card is for two challenges. First for A Blog Named Hero - Topsy Turvy  Challenge. Second for Hero Art's Interactive Birthday challenge.

I have also enrolled into Julie Ebersole's Interactive Card class called Fold it! Pop it! Flip it! So today's card is based on the slider card Julie made. I always wanted to make one but looked so difficult to make. After seeing Julie's video, it is actually easy. Here is my pocket slider birthday card.

Here is the inside of the card.
Just so beautiful when you open the card to see the the message pop out as a surprise :)

Supplies:
Cardstock: White cardstock from Wplus9, Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi from SU
Stamp sets: Cuckoo,Dots and Flowers, Joy Ride from Hero Arts, Calendar Basics, Inside Out Birthday and Wonderful Words Additions from PTI
Inks: Hero Arts Night Chalk Ink, Butter Cup.
Accessories: Rhinestones from Kaisercraft and Washi Tape

I have used the sentiment as a background on the card front.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great evening.

Sending Best Wishes

Afternoon everybody,

I am very cranky today. It started of my with soon to be a teenager son refusing get up from his bed in the morning. And when he finally did, moves so slowly around the house and taking his own sweet time to get ready to school. Very frustrating:( You know,  I feel like attaching a propeller rather an accelerator with a remote to his backside to help him move a bit faster. Arrr!  In a year's time, I will have not one but two teens at home - one boy and one girl. Life is heading to a very interesting phase I guess :)

Anyway, I was also sick of cooking, cleaning and washing that I dropped everything today and decided I make a card to help me relax. I browsed through and found Retro Sketches #10 and Runaway Inspired Challenge #11. I decided play both.
Here is the sketch and inspirational picture.

And here is what I came up with.

Supplies:
Cardstock: White cardstock from Wplus9, Chocolate Chip from Su and Baby Pink card base and matching envelope from local store.
Stamp set: Decorative Doilies and Fotiments Birthday from Uniko Studio
INks: Soft Suede, Pretty in Pink from SU and Bubblegum from Amuse Inks, Archival Jet Black Ink
Accessories: Pink Bakers twine, Pink Rhinestones from Kaisercraft

I love the modern looking doilie stamp set from Uniko Studio. The package arrived yesterday and beautiful stamp sets. Love love them.
I modified the sketch a little and also stamped on the envelope to coordinate the card.

OK, time for lunch and hopefully I will have a bit more time to play before I pick the kids from school. Time flies like crazy. It is scary! Life is busy at the moment. So many things to do. I am hoping for everything to settle after two weeks. Fingers crossed.
Thanks so much for visiting and also listening to my frustrations today.
See you soon and until then..

The Spectacular Spectacle Challenge

Morning everybody,

Yay! Monday! I love Monday because kids are off to school and hubby to work and I have the house all to myself. Although I don't have the house to myself  at the moment. My in-laws are staying with me. But atleast there is a routine. I have since vaccumed, mopped the house, washed the clothes and prepared for lunch. So time to browse, check emails and write up this post.

Again I made this card couple of days ago. When I saw Moxie Fab World's The Spectacular Spectacle Challenge, I immediately pulled out Lawn Fawn's Clear To See stamp set. But was stumped! What to do? Because I did a mini blog hop with my friend Joyce using this set. Here are the cards I made earlier.

Anyway, after seeing the current PDCC colours, the idea bulb lit up in my head. Have you seen sunglasses with blue and pink shades? I have! Very funky and retro.I also wanted to use the PDCC colours other than for a flower or an elegant card.

And, I read Cath's article on PC blog about focus on trendy spectacle. I loved the card by Chunyaun with the repetitive pattern of the spectacle. So inspired by all of these, I made my card.

Supplies:
Cardstock: White cardstock by Wplus9, Pretty in Pink and Basic Grey from SU
Stamp set: Clear To See by Lawn Fawn and Folk Art by Wplus9
Inks: Momento Black Ink
Accessories: Button from PTI, Copics pink and blue colours.

I love the repetitive retro spectacle background. Just so cool. I also interpreted the pink and blue shades as two friends. Hence the sentiment. Hope you like it. I love it :) One of my favourites.

Here is the PDCC challenge colours for you

Thanks for all your get well wishes on my neck sprain. About 75% better than yesterday. Thats why I was able to do a lot of work today. Hopefully by tomorrow, I will be well 100% :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Washi Tape

Hi! How is the weekend? Mine is almost over. Today is not such a good day for me. I woke up with a neck sprain and unable to turn left or up nor bend down. Very painful and frustrating. I wanted to make few last minute cards for PC submission but.... :(

Anyway, sharing a card I made using washi tapes couple of days ago. Washi tapes are currently in trend. I don't own many but just 4 of them.So here is a card I made using two of my tapes.

Supplies:
Cardstock: White cardstock from Wplus9
Stamp sets: Onesie Twosie and Damask Doilies from Wplus9 Fillable Frame #9 from PTI
Inks: Cake Crumb from SU. Grass and Ocean from Amuse Inks
Accessories: Fillable Frame die from PTI, Onesie Twosie die from Wplus9, Rhinestones from Kaisercraft, and Washi Tapes from Typo.

To make this card, I have used Freshly Made Sketches #33.
Here is the sketch for you.

Well, I cannot type for long as my neck stiffens and is very painful. Rest today and see a chiropractor tomorrow morning.
Thanks so much for visiting! Hopefully see you soon.
