CASE Study Challenge #115

Hiya! A very quick post this Saturday morning!

I have this card I made for CASE Study #115 Challenge.
This month's Muse, Angeline Yong. Love her work. She has a unique CAS style.
This fab card is the first muse for us.

I was inspired by the colour blocking on her card. So my card uses really bright colour blocks. I then diecut B' Day. Stamped 'Happy'. And added a thin strip fo the same colour cardstock banners for added interest. It isn't what I thought out to make but like the end result. Hope you do too.

AnnaBelle Stamps Colour Challenge

Yay! It is Friday! Love Fridays but the weekend always goes faster than the week days for me. I guess it is the same for all of you. Yet I look forward to my weekend lol! It is fun to be with kids and hubby and do fun stuff, right?
Last week has been sad and strange for me. Sad with what had happened at New York and surrounds as well as Chennai and surrounds because of the cyclones. Strange because the weather at home went from 36 degrees C to 19 degree C in a day! Hot and sweaty to cold and rainy in no time:( Hate the sudden change and it is a bit strange don't you think? Gobal Warming!

Anyway, here is the colour challenge from AnnaBelle Stamps

I love the colours but I really struggled with this colour because I am a brights girl! But I went out of my comfort zone and made a card. Here is the card.

I have used paper piecing techniques on my card.  The stamp set I have used on my card is called Helen's Party from AnnaBelle Stamps

There are some changes to our challenge from today onwards. AnnaBelle stamps is givingaway one digital free image every month for you to use and playing along:) How cool is that? If you want to get the freebie, check out AnnaBelle Stamps Blog.

I have taken a different approach to the sketch. There are still three elements in three different sizes like in the sketch but I have layered the three element in a unique way. The stamp is called Picture it Clear from Avery Elle.Love it all came together very very quickly!

The Craft's Meow November Challenge

Hello everybody,

Here is the sketch. A beautiful sketch by Nina B Designs

And here is my take on the sketch.

I modified the sketch to suit my vertical card base and CAS style. You can still see the sketch on my card.
I really really like the grandfather clock. I remember as a little girl, seeing one in my grandfather's house. My grandfather used to wind the clock same time everyday. It used to fascinate me to see my grand father stop the pendulum, take the key and wind the clock. And I will ask him if I can get the pendulum to swing again :)  He would let me do it just to see the big grin on my face:) Great memories!

Anyway, don't forget to play this gorgeous sketch. You have the entire month to play.
