Sending You BIG Hugs!

Most of us know by now that Cath Edvalson is leaving Papercraft and Moxie Fab World! Reading the news on Friday on Moxie Fab World, I was shocked! Initially I thought it was kind of prank or something but the entire papercraft world talked about it. It then sunk into me and I became teary. Cath at Moxie Fab World is such an inspiration to me. The pictures she picks and shows on the blog, the trends, showcasing Moxie Fabbers (I was one of them:) ), challenges...... Moxie Fab World is a huge not just to me but to every designer in the papercraft world. Very sad to hear Cath go. You will be missed a lot!

Sending you BIG hugs and a huge thank you for all the inspirations you have given me all these years, Cath!

And here are the closeups of the card.

I have used My Favorite Things Sketch #148 to make my card. This is the sketch.

The bicycle, speech bubble insert dies and the sentiments are from MFT. The paper is from the beautiful Colourwash Collection from Pink Paislee. The wood veneer "&" is from Studio Calico.

It is time for my evening coffee before I start ironing.

Thanks for stopping by!

Diwali Blog Hop!

Happy Diwali everybody! Hello and welcome to the special Diwali Blog Hop.

Diwali is the festival of lights and is celebrated in India in October or November depending on the dates in the moon calender. We celebrate it differently in different parts of India again based on the customs and traditions. In the place where I am from South India, we celebrate it early in the morning by having an oil bath, new clothes, special sweets and savory, prayers to God, going to temple and having a feast. We are share sweets with friends and family. And fireworks are the highlights of this festival. We decorate our house with lots and lots of oil lamps. It is a great time of the year. I miss it a lot. We had a very quite Diwali here. Although we did have a great community event last weekend with fireworks and great food. That is the brief of what Diwali festival is:)

For this hop you should have come from Sanketi's Blog. If not don't worry I have the list of designers participating in the blog hop towards the end of this post.
Here is my card for Diwali.

I have gone for a very trendy card and used the ornament stamp set and dies from MFT to make my Diwali card. Since Diwali is festival of lights, I have used the ornaments are lights and made it very colourful for the festive look. Of course added rhinestones for more festive look. The sentiment is also from MFT.  Hope you like it.

You next stop is to Deepti's blog. You are in for a treat there :)

Here is the list of all the designers participating in the blog hop.

There is no blog hop without prizes, right? Right!  There She Goes is giving away two gorgeous stamp set to two lucky winners. The two winner will be chosen from any of our participating blogs. So make sure you leave a comment on all the blogs. The prize is  Henna Swirls stamp set from  There She Goes

Happy Hopping and Happy Diwali once again:)

Stunning and sparkly snowflakes

Morning everybody!

Gorgeous Saturday morning! Top of 29 degree C today. Sun is shining already. And today is Diwali festival. So Happy Diwali to all my dear friends celebrating the festival. I have a Diwali Blog Hop later today. But now I want to share my card made using the coolest snowflake dies. This die is from Uniko Studio. Comes as a set of three. This is the largest I have used on my cards below.

Clean and simple with focus on the large glittery snowflakes. The pattern paper on the background is from MME Cut and Paste Collection. I have used the negative of the diecut for the background and the sparkly positive to fill the negative.
And the positive of the pattern paper diecut I have used on another set of cards below.

I love the ombre pattern paper and the diecut using the paper is beautiful as it is. The snowflake is large enough to be used as the focal point.  Stunning Snowflakes and coordinating dies are gorgeous set just released by Uniko Studio.

These sets are available from Uniko Studio Shop for purchase.

Happy weekend!

Home Sweet Home!

What a wonderful to embrace friends and family for our Welcome Home challenge!

Paper Issues  is our sponsor for Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge:  Welcome Home!  A $20 gift certificate to the Paper Issues store will be awarded to the LEAD of the Welcome Home challenge!  Thanks so much, Paper Issues!

Here is my take on the challenge.

I realised that I do not have any wreath stamp set in my collection. Shocking! I have couple of dies but no stamp set. Adding it to the wishlist now. So I decided to make my own wreath. I love this leaf die from Paper Smooches. I die cut a few of them using pattern papers from Kaisercraft and Webster pages vellum pattern papers. I have used them to make my wreath here. Love the layered look and the vellum gives it a softer look as well:) The sentiment and stamped background is from My Favourite Things stamp sets called Western Sentiment and Western Background respectively.

Check out Curtain Call Challenge blog for more inspirations from the design teams and the linky to link your project.

Yay! Weekend tomorrow!
Happy Diwali to all my Indian friends. Enjoy your festival and keep safe from fireworks.
See you tomorrow with a card for Diwali:)
