Stamptember new release!


Hello everyone,

STAMPtember new release from Simon Says Stamp is here if you are already not aware of it :)  There are so many new stamp sets and dies released already. Plus many more new collaboration products coming this entire month. Woohoo! It is a month long party! So excited to be part of it.

Today I am sharing a card using the  new Oh Happy Day stamp set and dies. 


Here is my card.

I started with die cutting the feather die using masking paper. I randomly adhered the feather mask on the card front. Then sponged Mint Candy ink all over the card front. I removed the masks and then stamped the feather from the stamp set using grey ink. This is my background. Love the mint and grey colour combination. For the focal point, I gold embossed the polka dot feather, the sprig and the Smile image and die cut them all out. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock using the same grey ink and trimmed the strip to size. Then I clustered glued them as shown in the picture below.

Then I foam mounted the cluster on vellum panel then foam mounted the vellum panel on the card front. To bring the card together, I embellished with Mint and Gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. I simply love the colour combination. Looks fresh and elegant don't you think? Hope you like it.

Taylored Expressions Release day!


It is finally here! Yay! Today is the Taylored Expressions release day of all the new products we have been sneak peeking since Monday!


There are twelve stamp sets, thirty dies some of them coordinating with the stamp set, three new embossing folders and matched kit, 6 x 6 pattern paper and sequins. That is a lot of new goodies and all of them are gorgeous. 

Today I am sharing with you projects using Grouchy Grumplings stamp set and coordinating dies.

I love these grumplings. They are adorable and the expressions on their faces are funny. I started with stamping these images and colouring with copic markers. Then die cut these images using coordinating dies. To highlight these images, I wanted to have a background. With the Grumplings in Costumes stamp set released last month, I sponged my background to highlight the grumplings. Here is the link to the Grumplings in Costume cards. So with this I wanted to do something different. I used distress inks to sponge on spatter stencil. I chose to use two different colours to add shading. For example, Salty Ocean and Dusty Concord, Abandoned Coral and Picked Raspberry. This added depth of the spatter. I used Taylored Expressions Rainbow Brights 6x6 paper to complement the sponged colours. The sentiments are from the Grouchy Grumplings stamp set which I stamped using black ink. Finally embellishing with enamel dots. I wanted to make a fun card set and pretty pleased with it. I have listed all the products I have used to make my cards below.

STAMPtember Exclusive with Pretty Pink Posh

I love collaboration. I think it brings the best creativity. I am excited to share the stamp set and die Simon Says Stamp has brought out in collaboration with Pretty Pink Posh. Woohoo! It is the very first stamp set by Pretty Pink Posh. I am so happy for Paulina and a huge congratulations to her.

Here is a sneak peek of projects that my colleagues have made.


These critter are so versatile that they can be used with Pretty Pink Posh's dies. Here is an example of how they can be used.


I cannot wait to receive them and play with them. Yes, my set is still in transit. So I do not have a project using this new stamp set and die but I do have a card using Pretty Pink Posh and Simon Says Stamp older products. So bear with me. I will share my card using this new set as soon as it arrives.

Here is first Christmas card for this year 2015 using Pretty Pink Posh dies, sequins and Simon Says Stamp dies and stamp set.

I have used Pretty Pink Posh's Stitched Duo 3 dies to die cut the window out of the tag in the die set. Then I die cut the window awning using the curved tag die from Stitched Duo 3 die set and Stitched Borders 3 die set. I sponged blue distress ink on the awnings. Then masked the white cardstock to sponge Mustard Seed distress ink. I then adhered the window tag suing foam adhesives on top of the sponged yellow ink.  I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Holiday Hellos stamp set on the awning. Then adhered the awning on the window using foam again to give the dimension. Love the stitched details on the die cuts. The poinsettia is from Simon Says Stamp Poinsettia Parade die which I die cut, coloured with copics and layered glued them. I then brushed the flower with Wink of Stella shimmer pen. Finally embellished the card with Traditional Christmas sequins mix from Pretty Pink Posh and gold twine to tie a bow on top of the card.
