Some cards

Here are the two cards I made for the February Ready Set Scrap cyber crop challenge over the weekend. The first one was for Liz's challenge using a sketch she provided.
The second one is for Kirsti's challenge.
I have a collection of valentine's card to hand out to all the loved ones.
Pop in to Ready Set Scrap and you will find some awesome monthly challenges as well!!

Over the weekend, we had very sad news in Australia.
Victoria state had the worst bush fire in history and there are more than 100 homes destroyed and about 110 people dead so far.
Worst of all, many of the fires were light by some stupid arsonist.
I can't understand why somebody will do such a thing??????????
I was choked with tears watching the news. Many towns have perished.
Some of the towns I have visited previously and they are very small community.
Very sad and very scary. People's lives have changed all of a sudden.
They are left with nothing!! that's scary!
May the strength and will power be with them to start their new life!
If you want to donate, go to Red Cross website and make a donation.

I have something to show you all tomorrow!!
I spent my entire day sitting and making this one.
So be sure to pop in tomorrow.

Couple of layouts to show!!!

I have couple of layouts to show.I have been busy making layouts for challenges at Debscreations and participating in Ready Set Scrap cyber crop this weekend.

This one below I made for Skye's challenge at Debscreations

Her challenge says:
1) A layout about someone or something you love...
2) You must use a white cardstock background...
3) I want to see Pink, Green and Blue in the shades on the colour chart (attached), or as close as possible!
4) You must have a heart embellishment somewhere on your layout
5) At least three lines of journalling about WHY you love this person or thing.
5) No Flowers (unless printed on PP)
6) Other colours are allowed, but NO BLACK!

She also gave a color chart of pastel pink, green and blue.

This is my take on the challenge.

I have used Bella white cardstock as base
and the papers used for the layers are from Pink Paislee.
The heart shape is a stamped image cutout made out of Prima stamp.
I have used Fancy Pants overlay, Alphas from Pink Paislee too,
Pearls from Kaisercraft and the Owl sticker is from Hambly Print.
TFL!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is Nat's sketch for the cybercrop currently going on at Ready Set Scrap.
For Nat's challenge, you need to take a Word or Title that represents valentine's to you and scrap it to Nat's sketch below.

That's an awesome sketch, Nat.

Here is my take on the challenge:

I have used Basic Grey papers, Prima and Scrapbook blossoms flowers, Mulberry leaves and ferns, die cuts and lace from stash and the alphas from basic Grey as well.

If your are interested, pop into Ready Set Scrap website and join the cybercrop.

Thanks for stopping by

Body Pump Class rambling and couple of cards

Hey everybody,

The week passed by so quickly for me after the school opened and I went back to work.

I have had fantastic news over the week. Getting the DT position at Debs is a great honor.
I still can't believe it.
Today was my day off at work and I went to my gym this morning.
After the workout as I was heading out, my friend Denise caught me
and convinced me to try her Body Pump class.
She said its fun and join me in the fun!! I was like ok!!...

.....................One hour passed by.....................

I came out with my hands and knees shaking.
OMG!!!! that was awesome but I was totally out of shape.
Now it is evening, I can feel my muscles pain at all odd places!!!
I am walking like a robot and my kids are laughing at me...
I like it though. Will continue to go for it.

Denise was awesome.
She is carrying so much weight, talking, singing, dancing and working out.
She makes it look so easy!!! Awww!! I looked at her muscles and my jaws dropped.
She is really good at it. Monday is the next session.

Well, I came back and made couple of cards out of Tamara's sketches.
The image and the sentiment in the second card is stamped and heat embossed.
Thanks Tamara. Awesome sketches.
Here they are.

Ok hope all of you had a great day today.

Have a great weekend.
