Uniko Studio Challenge #6

Welcome back again. This is my second post for today. Here is my first post.

I have a new challenge from Uniko Studio Blog today.

It is a sketch challenge. And sketch designed by me :-)

Here is my take on the challenge.

Congratulations on your special day

I picked out the heart shapes from three different stamp set to use on my card. Jolly Christmas, Flower Power #3 and Always & Forever stamp set have heart shapes in various sizes. I then used the colours from Card Concept #1 to stamp the falling hearts. Here are the colours of the Card Concept Challenge #1

Then I have used the flower Power #3 flowers to form a cluster. With sentiments stamped from the same set. Now a days I don't make a card without sequins. So I have added sequins to accent.

Congratulations closeup!

Come and play along the challenge and win a gift certificate from Uniko Studio. Check out what the rest of the design teams have done with my sketch at Uniko Studio Blog.

Case Study Challenge #174

Good Morning!

It is Saturday, I normally get excited about weekends. But not today and for two reasons. First, it is school holidays and children are at home anyway and it makes no difference between week day and weekend. Secondly, today is the start of another heat wave. So it is going to be hot. Not as bad as the eastern states but hotter than last week. So plan is to stay indoor and be lazy. Probably craft more :)

I love Donna Mikasa's work and her card at CASE Study Challenge #174 this week is awesome.

Love the sponged colour revealing the embossed sentiment. And the spatter and sequins details are so cool. Love it. So I decided to play along the challenge. Here is my take on the challenge.

Celebrate card

Instead of embossing the sentiment, I used Jennifer's technique of die cutting the sentiment and using glitter. The dies and stamps are from My Favorite Things I then sponged the blue ink, added spatter, sequins, a few stars and some Diamond Stickles glitter glue blobs as well. I just love how this card turned out.

Thanks for the inspiration, Donna and great choice of muse, Iwona!

Time for coffee now and will see you later today with another challenge card.

On your Special Day!

I played along Jennifer Rzasa's gradient glitter technique which kindly shared in a video tutorial couple fo days ago. I had my Lil' Inkers Designs goodies arrive yesterday. So I set out to play with them using Jennifer's technique. Here is my card.

On your special day

I went for an ombre of pinks to purple glitter using Swirls cover die plate. I trimmed the diecut after I did the glitter and foam mounted it on the card front. I have also white heat embossed the Modern Mehnidi flowers on purple cardstock diecut and layered as a cluster. The sentiment is stamped in purple ink on white card stock strip.

Here is the close up of the card.

On you Special day Closeup!

Here is the link to Jennifer's Video. It is an awesome technique. You will love it. The effect of the glitter is beautiful in real. Photos don't do justice. So give it a try and see it for yourself.

CAS(E) this Sketch #60

Hey everybody,

I have a brand new sketch for you today from CAS(E) this Sketch.
This sketch is by Sam Simpson

I love this sketch. It can be interpreted in so many different ways. the design team members have shown it for you at CAS(E) this Sketch Blog. Here is my take on the sketch.

Case this Sketch card

I have used pattern papers from the SSS January Card Kit on my card. The stamp set is called Be You Best Self from My Favorite Things. I decided trim the pattern paper and make a gap instead of adding a strip of pattern paper as shown in the sketch. I then stamped the sentiment on a rectangular piece of cardstock and coloured the images. I have matted this panel on a multi coloured pattern paper at an angle with some thread between them for some texture and interest.  Finally accented with rhinestones also from the card kit. Here is the close up.  I love this doodle sentiment from MFT.

With all my heart card

Denami Designs generously sent me the outline heart, open box and sentiment - With all my heart rubber stamps.

Thank you so much. Cute Cute stamps. Love them.
I sponged pink ink on the top of the card front. I stamped, coloured and cut out the box and heart shapes. Then cut out a slit on the box to inert the heart shape. Then foam mounted it on the card front. Then layered two more hearts to foam a cluster. The sentiment is stamped in gold and heat embossed in gold as well. I then added spatters and accented with gold sequins.
Here is a close up!
