Hey everyone,

I have another Taylored Expressions card to share with you today. 

This card is made using the newly released Simply Stamped - Daisies stamp set and coordinating dies. This is a beautiful layering stamp set. I started with stamping the second layer large daisy stamp using Angel Pink Memento Ink on a white card stock panel. I then adhered this panel on to the pink card base.

For the focal point, I stamped two large daisies and one small daisy first with Angel Pink Memento  ink and when dry, I stamped the second layer with Rose Bud Memento Ink. I die cut these daisies using the coordinating Simply Stamped - Daisies dies. For the leaves, I used Pear Tart Memento ink for the base and Pistachio Memento ink for the veins. I die cut the leaves using the coordinating dies as well.

On the card front, I added an acetate layer. This is a white striped acetate from We're Memory Keepers. Then clustered the daisies and leaves and adhered on the acetate layer using foam adhesives. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. There are a few sentiment stamps in the set. Love the double font on the sentiment. I simply stamped and hand cut around the sentiment and adhered using glue. Finally, embellished with silver sequins from Build a Scene: Halloween sequins and Doodle bug's pink sparkles enamel dots.

Hello everyone,

A quick post today sharing a anniversary card using Penny Black products.

I needed a card to give a young couple celebrating their 2nd anniversary. I have used this birds and cage image from Penny Black's Woodland Friends stamp set which I white heat embossed on watercolour cardstock. I then coloured the image with Zig Clean Brush watercolour pens. Love how the colouring turned out. But there was a lot of white space around. To highlight the focal image, I die cut an oval using oval die and several from scrap cardstock. I stacked glued them together with the coloured focal image oval die cut on top of the stack. I then trimmed the negative panel by quarter of an in lengthwise. I tied the gold thread toward the bottom of the panel and adhered this panel to the yellow card front. The stacked oval was inlaid in place. Love the dimension the stacked oval gives without having to use foam adhesives.



To start with, I only wanted to white heat emboss the sentiment on the back cardstock strip and adhered as shown. But then I had a light bulb moment and stamped the Mr. & Mrs. next to the watercoloured image splitting the sentiment with "&" inside the cage. I was pretty pleased with it :) The sentiment is from You and Me stamp set from Penny Black,

I then added some 6mm and 4mm Pretty Pink Posh Onyx sequins to tie in the black from the sentiment strip together. Finally brush some shimmer on the flowers and birds using Sakura clear shimmer pen. and added glossy accent to the centre of the flowers and centre of the cage where I stamped the "&".

Simon Says Back to School!

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

This week the challenge is Back to School!

We are showcasing My Mind's Eye Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used

This is my take on back to school challenge.

I have used My Mind's Eye School Daze 6 x 6 paper pad to make my card. I used the pencils pattern paper from the paper pad as my background. Then layered the busy background with a smaller panel of vellum. For the focal point, I stamped the note pad and pencil from Clearly Besotted  Teacher's Pet stamp set, coloured the pencil with copic markers then cut them both out. I layered the stamped note pad over vellum, then the sentiment cut out from the School daze paper pad and finally the pencil. Simple and easy to make. No technique. I just wanted My Mind's Eye School Daze papers to shine. Here is a closeup of the card.
