Happy Diwali everybody! Hello and welcome to the special Diwali Blog Hop.
Diwali is the festival of lights and is celebrated in India in October or November depending on the dates in the moon calender. We celebrate it differently in different parts of India again based on the customs and traditions. In the place where I am from South India, we celebrate it early in the morning by having an oil bath, new clothes, special sweets and savory, prayers to God, going to temple and having a feast. We are share sweets with friends and family. And fireworks are the highlights of this festival. We decorate our house with lots and lots of oil lamps. It is a great time of the year. I miss it a lot. We had a very quite Diwali here. Although we did have a great community event last weekend with fireworks and great food. That is the brief of what Diwali festival is:)
For this hop you should have come from Sanketi's Blog. If not don't worry I have the list of designers participating in the blog hop towards the end of this post.
Here is my card for Diwali.
I have gone for a very trendy card and used the ornament stamp set and dies from MFT to make my Diwali card. Since Diwali is festival of lights, I have used the ornaments are lights and made it very colourful for the festive look. Of course added rhinestones for more festive look. The sentiment is also from MFT. Hope you like it.
