3 Days to My Favorite Things New Release

Hello everybody,
Only three more days more to the My Favorite Things New Release.

Today I am sharing with you two cards using Simply Fabulous Sayings stamp set and Laina Lamb Design Little Lowercase Letters Die-namics

Here is my first card using Simply Fabulous Sayings stamp set.

MFT GDT Feb2014 #3

This is a Clean And Simple Card with the water colour on the background highlighting the sentiment. I have used heat embossed resist technique on my card.  Simply white heat embossed on the card panel. Then simply used Gelatos to colour the background. Finally wiped the excess colour off the embossed sentiment. Love the soft blended colours of pink and orange. Finally accented with some black tiny stars. Gorgeous sentiments in this stamp set. I have a couple more similar looking cards but different techniques used which I will share with you on the release rewind days.

The next card uses Laina Lamb Design Little Lowercase Letters Die-namics. This die-namics comes flat with all the letters connected to each other. I loved it as it was and wanted to use the Die-namics as such on my card. So I die cut the letters on my card panel and used the negative panel. I placed the panel back on the card front, marked the outline and used a pink Copic sketch maker to colour within the ouline so that the colour shows through when the negative is placed on top.

Next I die cut the beautiful Mini Delicate Doilies using the new Spearmint cardstock also from MFT,  adhered to the centre of the panel using foam squares. Then I used the postives die cuts of the Lowercase Letters Die-namics to make my sentiment "Thanks" which I adhered to a black fishtail banner strip. I then glued a bunch of thread behind the banner and adhered the banner on the doilie. Love the texture of the thread bunch, the unpunched doilie and the colour combination of pink and spearmint. Another CAS card.

Hope you like my CAS cards today. Check out My Favorite Things Blog to see today's stamp set, dies and stencils. Also all the projects by design team. Comment on the post at MFT Blog to enter a chance to win an awesome prize.

Thanks for stopping by.
I will see you tomorrow with more MFT goodness :)

Love the cards. Gotta get me some of those gelatos. I've been trying to hold out but it's not working.

both cards are just delightful. Love the use of the Gelatos on your first card and the pop of colour behind the die cuts on the second.
