May PTI Blog Hop

A quick share of a card I made for Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.

Here is this month's inspirational picture

And here is my take on the picture. I made a swing interactive card. I learned to make this card from Julie Ebersole's class on Interactive cards.

In this pictures below, you can see how the circle swings when you open the card.

This is the inside of the card when fully opened.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Stampers Select White and Simply Chartreuse from PTI. Basic Black from SU
Stamp sets: Argyle background stamp, Inside Out Happy Birthday, Day Dreamer from PTI. Cherished from The Craft's Meow
Inks: Archival Jet Black ink and Sage Amuse Ink
Accessories: Rhinestones from Kaisercraft, Border punch from Martha Stewart, Circle dies from Craft Concepts, Gingham digital pattern paper.

Hope you like it :) I believe there is a die to make this type of swing card by Sizzix available at Simon Says Stamp Store if you like to purchase the die. But you can make it without the die as well like I did :) It is all about partial diecutting.

Thanks for visiting and happy hopping!

how fun! love it - you so clearly took the inspiration photo and translated it to your card! (ps, did you find these colors as hard to photograph as I did?)

Love this, Gayatri!! Isn't this a fun colour scheme this month? I probably would never choose it so it's great to stretch my creative muscles!! And we must be channeling the same interactive vibe because I watched a YouTube video last week and learned how to make these flip flop cards. I made a bunch but haven't photographed them yet. I didn't sign up for the class but now wish myabe I had to get some other technique tips!! :P
