Simon Says Make it Colourful!

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the  Anything Goes Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is MAKE IT COLOURFUL!

 When somebody says, make it colourful, I am in heaven. I LOVE colours. So I decided to have fun with it. Although I going into Spring where I live, I wanted to use rich earthy colours. So I choose Autumn colours to play with. Also since I received this One with Nature stamp set and die from Simon Says Stamp, I haven't had time to play with it. So this stamps set will be perfect for this challenge.

Here is my take on the make it colourful challenge.

I started with stamping and copic colouring the oval leaf image diagonally to make my background. I used autumn reds, greens, browns and yellows. Instantly the background looks rich and beautiful. I then trimmed the top of this panel at an angle. I also stamped the quote from the stamp set towards the bottom of the panel using brown ink. Then also brushed the leaves heavily with Wink of Stella shimmer pen.

To complement the colours on the stamped images, I used Doodlebug's Kraft in Color pattern papers. I added some pattern papers at an angle on the top of the card base. Then I adhered the stamped panel. 



To balance, I added two coloured diecut leaves from the stamp set over a fish tail banner on the top left and layered stamped sentiment banner towards the bottom right. Finally I added some yellow enamel dots and  a yellow bow using Doodlebug's yellow backer's twine to finish the card.

I am pretty pleased with my card especially the rich colours. Hope you like it too.

Winnie & Walter Rerun!

Hello everyone,

I am delighted to be back with my internet working better than before. No more disconnection happening since last night. Any improvement is good. It is slow but atleast I am connected.

So now I can share my projects starting with this card for Winnie & Walter's Rerun feature. 

Each month, Winnie & Walter features one product each month and sharing lots of inspiration using that product by the design team and also this product will be on sale for the entire month. How cool is that? This month we are featuring THIS AWESOME HOUSE stamp set.

This is a beautiful stamp set and can be combined with other sets to get more out of it. I love the variety of sentiment that can be used on the banner. That makes this set versatile. Love it. This is my card using This Awesome stamp set.

I stamped to create my own background using the stamps from This Awesome House. I decided to use a grey card stock for my base panel. This is Fog cardstock from Simon Says Stamp. I stamped the banners randomly first using Versafine Black ink. Then coloured them using distress markers. I outlined the banners with Squeezed Lemon marker and inside with Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feather. Because the cardstock is grey, the blue looks more darker and yellow is bright. I filled in the gaps with the solid images (don't know what they  are called :(  ) and also stamped the sentiment inside the banner. I also added some shimmer using Sakura Clear Gel pen on the banners. 

To tone down the busy background, I added vellum panel. On the vellum panel, I white heat embossed the big house, coloured the windows in yellow. Then I stamped the banner on a scrap piece of white cardstock, coloured, stamped the sentiment, hand cut out and adhered using foam adhesives. I hid more foam adhesives behind banner to adhered the vellum panel on the card front. Finally embellished with Sunshine Glow and Bermuda Blue iridescent sequins and Sparkly Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to bring the colours together.

Runway Inspired Challenge #91

Hello and welcome to a new Runway Inspired Challenge #91.
We have Michael Kors outfit as inspiration for you.

My inspiration is the geometric colourful top of the outfit. I love how the top pops against the solid black and white rest of the outfit.
Here is my take on the challenge.

I have used Winnie & Walter's Multifaceted stamp set to white heat emboss on the watercolour paper. Then watercoloured directly using the Zig Clean Brush Watercolour pens. I then trimmed the panel, added a black and green cardstock panels behind randomly before adhering on to a white card base. The sentiment is from Parentville stamp set also from Winnie & Walter. I then added some heart shaped enamel dots from Prima Marketing to finish the card. Father's day is on September 6th here is Australia. This card will be perfect for one of my children to give their dad :)
