25 Days of Christmas Tags with Winnie & Walter!

This is my second post for today. My Runway Inspired Challenge post is HERE!

Welcome back!

Tracey McNeely has been doing the 25 Days of Christmas Tags during the Christmas time for past five years. I have enjoyed participating in them for past three years. It is big source for holiday and Christmas tags for papercrafters. Lots of planning and efforts goes into it. Five years is a great milestone. Congratulations on your 5th Anniversary, Tracey!

I am participating this year as design team member of Winnie & Walter.

Here is my Christmas tag using Winnie & Walter's new release products.

Ho ho ho Merry Christmas Tag

The tag is from Essentials: Noelle Cutaway set. I die cut two of them and attached the second tag behind the first after scoring an inch from the top. The tag on the back will be to write a personal message. ON the tag front, I die cut four In a Word: Merry using white cardstock and one using silver glitter paper. I stacked and glued them with the silver glitter die cut on top of the stack. The bow is die cut using red glitter cardstock using Take a Bow Cutaway. The smaller sentiments are from The Big, the Bold and Merry stamp set. Before adhered the die cut and stamped elements on the tag, I sponged Crushed Olive distress ink towards the bottom of the tag. Then added some metallic red sequins from Pretty Pink Posh Classic Christmas sequins mix and gold twine to the tag.

Runway Inspired Challenge #95

Hello and welcome to a new Runway Inspired Challenge #95
This challenge is this pretty dress from Marchesa Notte!

Love the ink blue background with pop of pretty pink and the bold pink shoes. I am taking the colours from this outfit as my inspiration for my card.

Just saying Hello!

I have used Altenew's Golden Garden stamp set to stamp and make my background. I used Doll Pink and Blue Violet inks from Simon Says Stamp. I LOVE the two colours together. Bright and beautiful with a lot of white. Then I layered a piece of vellum. The sentiment is from Super Script stamp set also from Altenew. I stamped the large sentiment and hand cut it out. The smaller sentiment is stamped on a strip of white cardstock. I popped them both using foam adhesives. Finally embellishing with Pretty Pink Posh's Pink Peonies sequins. Here is a closeup!

Taylored Expressions November New Release Sneak Peek Day #1

Welcome to Taylored Expressions November release Day #1

I am excited to share with you a sneak peek of all the new release products from Taylored Expressions. Today I will be sharing a project made using a new die called Basket Weave Cover Plate.

This is a beautiful striped cover plate die which can be used as is as a striped die or use the stripes that fall out after cutting to weave back into the cover plate to get the basket weave pattern. How cool is that? I have one project where I have used the cover plate as it is and another card where I have weaved the fallen strips into the cover plate.

Whipped just for you set

For this card, I started with white card base. Then I inked an entire white card stock panel with Light to Dark Peach Ombre ink pad from Hero Arts. Once dry, I used the Basket Weave Cover Plate to die cut the panel. I saved the fallen strips to be used on the envelope. The die cut cover plate I adhered on the white card front. The focal panel is die cut using Stitched Rectangle Stacklets and white card stock. I stamped the images from Flippin' Awesome stamp set and black heat embossed the sentiment also from the same stamp set. I LOVE the Flippin' Awesome stamp set for its pun sentiments. And this set also has coordinating dies. Cool! Back to the card, I adhered this panel on the card front with some bunched up thread behind the focal panel.

For the envelope, I adhered the fallen strips from the die cut and made a similar focal panel without the sentiment for writing the address on it. Then I also made a banner tag for the biscuit food packaging. The banner tag is made using the new Stitched Banner Stacklets. I die cut the bigger banner using Taylored Expressions Oreo cardstock. The smaller layered banner is die cut using the Sugar Cube cardstock. I stamped the dutch oven image and the sentiment heat embossed on top. The spatulas I stamped in black and die cut using the coordinating dies. I wrapped the glassine bag with cookies with May Arts gold twine and through the two holes I made on the banner tag and made a bow.

On the back of the envelope, I have a sticker on which I have stamped the sentiment from Sealed with Love stamp set. You can see it below.

Just for you set

Next is a card that showcases the Basket Weave cover plate with the fallen strips woven into it.

So Grateful card

For this card, I inked the card front using Ripe Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed distress inks and spattered come clean water. Then I die cut the Basket Weave cover plate using Sugar Cube cardstock. I then weaved and glued the fallen strips leaving even space between them. I adhered this woven cover plate on the card front. For the focal point, I die cut a stitched rectangle panel using Oreo cardstock using the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets. I white heat embossed the sentiment from Flippin' Awesome stamp set. The grater also from the same stamp set  stamped using the same Hero Arts ink pad and die cut using the coordinating die.  I adhered this focal panel on to the card front with some jute twine behind. Then embellished with sequins from Build a Scene: Halloween. Here is a closeup of the card.

So Grateful closeup

How you you like the strips woven into the cover plate? You can die cut more of the strips and woven more closely as well. That will give you a traditional basket weave. Such a versatile is this cover plate? LOVE it!

Spirit of Christmas - A Penny Black card

Hello everyone,

Hope you all had fantastic Halloween day yesterday! I don't celebrate Halloween but love to see everyone dress up and celebrate. Looks like lot of fun and hope you had fun as well.

Today, I am sharing with you a Christmas card using Penny Black Christmas release stamp sets.

Spirit of Christmas

The focus of this card is this pretty girl image from Twinkle & Wish stamp set.I stamped, copic coloured and cut the girl out by hand. Then on a white cardstock panel, I die cut a circle and stamped the sentiment from Season's Gift stamp set below the circle window. This is my window. On the card front, I spattered masking fluid, then masked the edges and sponged Evergreen Bough, Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire distress inks. I removed the masking fluid spatter. I adhered the window panel using foam adhesives and the girl image on the window using foam adhesive as well. Finally I embellished with Blue Lagoon and Lavender Moon iridescent sequins and Sparkly Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. Here is a closeup of the card.

Simon Says Stamp November Card kit

Good morning everyone!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend! Mine is very very busy. In between my appointments, I made a set of three cards using Simon Says Stamp November 2015 card kit called handmade with Love.

I love all the fall themed die cuts that came in the kit in the Pebbles Chips pack. I decided to use those and make a set of three thank you cards. These are quick and easy to make as there is not much stamping involved in it. Here they are:

Thank you card #31

Thank you card #2

Thank you card #11

I have used the Simon Says Stamp prefold A2 cards as my base. This came in the kit. Then adhered pattern paper from the kit on the card front. Then layered with a white panel which is half an inch smaller than the card front. On the white panel, I have adhered the jars of picked vegetables, fruits and herbs die cut from the pack in the kit using foam adhesives. Then a layer of vellum and finally the sentiment banner with the stamped sentiment from the Apple of my Pie stamp set  from the kit. I picked the colours from the jars to use on the background pattern paper and sentiment stamp. Finally embellished using Pretty Pink Posh Autumn Harvest sequins mix and Onyx Black sequins.

The November card kit Handmade with Love is perfect for all your Fall themed cards. The kit is available for purchase at Simon Says Stamp Store. Hope you liked my set of thank you cards.
