2010 calendar

G'day everybody,

I am going to do a quick post today. I made another CD calendar for 2010. This is a different design. I have used PTI Fancy Flourish stamps, Kaisercraft rhinestones and Stampin' Up! inks and Whisper White paper.

I realised  after putting all the rhinestones, they do not fit into the CD box. So if you are making one, please do not use ribbons, brads, rhinestones. Just do a single layer stamping or coloring.

A great getaway

Hello everybody,

I had a great getaway last weekend. Well, it was a business trip to Perth but I also combined a lot of things because we were in Perth. I am a Indian Australian, so I buy a lot of Indian groceries. In the town I live in I do not get any. So a trip to Perth means load my card lol! car with groceries, which we did of course! But the most favourate thing we did was to watch the movie Avatar on 3D. Wow! I loooooove the movie. What great graphics. Loved the depth and sharpness of the picture. I could see the body hair of the Na'vi tribe. I also liked the connection between the Na'vi hair and the dragons.Very cute! I really wish there was such planet which is so pure, fresh and untouched. And keep it that way! This is my favourate movie. Anybodyelse liked the movie?  Some of my IT friends are not so impressed with the movie. Mmm!!! I also heard that many liked the movie so much that they wanted to live in Pandora and were depressed with the current reality they live in! Mmmm!!! cannot differentiate between reality and graphics. Thats scary! Anyway, I looved the movie berry much.

I like Upsy Daisy stamp set from SU berry much. With dazzling diamonds they look very pretty. Don't you think so? And this one for the color challenge

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #20

Today I have made a faux leather wallet from Splitcoaststampers tutorial using the colors from Raspberry Suite Color Challenge.Splitcoastsstampers have a tutorial on every wednesday of the week. This week is a faux leather wallet. Check it out at their website. And the Raspberry Suite Color challenge #20 has the following colors.

I was waiting for Dawn to put up the challenge as I kept missing all the previous challenges. So I am so happy to share my first take on her challenge. And using an awesome tutorial for the challenge was very exciting for me. I have used all Stampin' Up! products for this project except the Cuttlebug embossing folder.

CS: Chocolate Chip
DSP: Haiku
Inks: Chocolate Chip and Close to Caramel
Accessories: Filligree and Rhinestone brads, Very Vanilla and Bashful Blue ribbons, Versamark, Clear embossing powder, white gel pen and Velcro.

Still on purple valentine

Hello everybody,

How are you all doing? I am fine still baking though! 43 degree celcius today and to continue until Sunday. Thanks to the person who invented Air Con. Without which it will be difficult for us to live at the moment.The reason, I could not do another post yesterday was I was exhausted because of the heat.This post is going to be a short one because my laptop is heating up real quick due to the weather. Don't want my laptop to break down.So here is the coordinating bag of chocolates for the purple valentine card.

 

I am basically recycling the bag. I don't remember what was inside the bag! But I knew I should keep it. I have a collection of these awesome packaging bags and boxes which could be recycled.

There are some Cadbury Rose chocolates inside the bag.Yummy!

I have used both SU and PTI products to make these.

Purple Valentine

Hi everybody,

Today I have a valentine's card to show you. It is not a pink or red valentine's card but a purple one.Purple is my new black. I made this card for the clean and simple challenge at Splitcoaststampers. The theme this week is Valentine's card.Here is my take on the challenge.

I have combined SU and PTI products to make this card. I also saw this tip to use the doublesided sticky strip and dazzling diamonds on them at Nicole heady's blog. I have used this tip on this card. Isn't it cool!
