Pillow boxes

This is another project I made for Color Q color challenge. But I am a little late to enter I think!
Here are the colors:

 Here are my pillow boxes.

I used each color cardstock and made pillow boxes. I embossed them using Finial Press Impressions Embossing folder and then punched heart shape window and covered with clear cardstock.  Cute aren't they? I am going to fill them with lots of punched shapes and gift to my class kids. They would love them. I am excited!
Got to go now and make dinner. Spinach and dhal curry with rice. Spinach is from my garden. That makes it very special. My tummy is grumbling for food. See you tomorrow!
Have a great evening!
Cheers!

JAI #34

I had been so so busy last 3 weeks. Aditi's birthday party went well on Saturday. She had a blast.I will show the lolly bags or rather bag, I made for her party. I did not take photo of all the bags but I have one left. So will take photo of it and share.
Anyway, I was able to do few projects on Sunday. But until today I did not have the time to edit the photos and write posts. This first project is a cute little bag I made for Just Add Ink #34 color challenge. Here are the colors:

So soft and pretty colors. I like the colors but not my style. Was a challenge for me :) Here is my project.

A cute little treat bag. Just enough for 2 chocolate nuggets. This bag is made using PTI's Favour Bag (got the name wrong) Favor it Box Die #1. Love its size and the colors look beautiful together. I don't have Crumb Cake yet so I have used Kraft instead.  I love how so pleasing the colors look together. Thanks for the color combination:)
Have a great evening. I am off to hop and see all the other projects using this color combo:)
Cheers!

Birthday invitations....

Morning everybody,
Very nice day today. Getting warm here. Lovely to see sunshine everyday. I am preparing for my daughter Aditi's nineth birthday party. Here are the invitations we had made together.

I got this idea from here. Lacey Stephan's blog is awesome. Thanks for the inspiration Lacey.
Aditi wanted purple and green together and nothing "kidish" on her card. So no cupcakes, ponies...... Her choice was this Embellishment stamp set from PTI.So we together came up with the design. Sparkly things are a must for 9 year olds. So added rhinestones to the flourish. The actual invitation was made on the computer using basic shapes on word customed to the size of the purse. Purse is made using sizzix XL die.So the invitation was not too hard to make at all.

All the invitations are distributed now. 20 plus girls invited for the party. There will be a lot of giggles, screams, shrills.... Can't wait for saturday!
Got to make takeaway bags. All cut and kept. Will assemble them today and show you by tomorrow.
Now off shopping for the party. Have a great day!
See ya!

Wow!!!!!!

Hello everybody,

I have not been feeling very well for past few days. Just very sad about a few family things. Almost got sucked into it. But I am not letting it happen. Craft is one of a few things that is therapeutic. So I made a few craft things to keep me sane.
But firstly, I want to share a prize I won from Catherine Côté and Geneviève Caissiée of http://www.cardalacarte.com for signing up with their newsletter. Their blog is awesome and love all their projects. Their tips are fantastic. So sign up for their newsletter. And here is what they sent me all the way from Canada!

Its a Cute'n Cubby made using scalloped square die and fabric. Awesome. It carries all my trendy tubes with button in them at the moment. I still have to figure out and what I want to go into them. It folds flat when not in use. Love it to bits. Thanks guys. Its beautiful :)

Here is what I have been doing over the weekend. Remember I had a post about making a birthday package for a client! I had delivered all the invitations last week and this weekend I made all the 60 favour boxes and place cards. Here they are almost ready to be neatly packed into two boxes.

Don't they look beautiful? My client will fill a clear bag with some cookies and tie it up with gray ribbon and put it in the box. She is very happy with it and so am I :)

I also made some invitations for Aditi's birthday party. Got to do some editing and will share them with you tomorrow. Time now to get the kids from school. Have a great day everybody!
Cheers!
