I am back!!!!!!!!!

Hello Everybody!!!

After a week long holiday in Hobart, Tasmania, I am back fresh and energertic. Sorry for no post over a week. Could not get into the internet. They are very expensive in Hobart. Moreover, I wanted a break. It was nice catching up with old friends. Hobart was dry, very cold and windy too! Not suitable for my dry skin.

Drove around and visited some fantastic places including Cadbury Chocolate factory and bought plenty of chocolates.Yum!! I have plenty of photos to show too.

Can't wait to lay my hands on the scrapbooking stuff. Some of my orders have come. So plenty of new stuff. Yay!!!! My postie know me so well that she hid all of them behind my Rubbish bin, so I do not have to go and pick up my parcel. How nice of her? Appreciate it.

OMG!! I could not imagine I was without internet for 8 days. I am not an internet junkie after all.Hahaha!!

How is everybody doing? I still have to catch up on everything that happened last week!

Will comeback with some photos tonight.

Have a great day

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #1

Magnolia stamps are awesome character stamps.
They just vary with the season, occasion or festivity.
I have a few stamps with me. Its a very popular stamp.
Water coloring them is an art.
The result is beautiful.

You can buy these stamps at Bizzy Becs

There is a blog called Magnolia Down Under which has recently started
and there is a challenge every Sunday.
There are a few rules and has to use Magnolia stamps.

This is the first challenge:
  • Has to have RED
  • Has to have a Tilda not Edwin….
  • And lastly has to have a Autumn Theme
And this is my take on the challenge:

The Bo Bunny papers were perfect for the challenge. Base is red card stock.
I have colored Tilda using red sparkly gel pen and distress inks.

Love the challenge. Yay!!
All the best for everybody who are participating in the challenge.

OK until next time...

D is for daring daughter...

New month brings new challenges at Debs creations. There are plenty of challenges-Recipe challenge, sketch challenges, inspiration from a song challenge, challenge chic challenge, challenges from sponsors and many more.
This is Theresa's challenge:
My challenge is to create a layout using a monogram and "is for.." as the title. The idea is to get a bit creative with listing some words to describe what is in your layout that start with the letter of your monogram.
I thought it was a fun challenge. I immediately knew what photo to use. It was a daring photo of my daughter. I was trying to use flash with the digital SLR and it was too bright for indoors. But I just loved the photo when I converted into black and white. I then played with contrast on photoshop. Beautiufl photo was the result.
Little Yellow Bicycle, Love Notes paper came to mind again. Perfect for the project. One of the paper is a embossed paper. Awesome. I think I have told about this paper before. I still have a piece remaining. Other products used are Black Bazzill card stock, pink Versa color ink, Prima Say it in crystals, RW laser cut chipboard shrub, Lace, ribbon, Vinyl shape from American Craft, Pink paislee alphas, the "D' chipboard alpha and the pink layered flowers from Kmart and Kaiser Craft pearls.
I have done something different. I have used a piece of cardboard which I have inked round the edges. I have also inked the flowers of the chipboard shrub and heat embossed it and decorated the centre with the Kaiser craft pearls.
Here are some close up:

Until next time...

Basic Grey Challenge #24

Basic Grey Challenge #24--POCKET

Here is the Challenge details:

For this weeks challenge we would like to see you use pockets in your creation,
interpret this how you would like,
but of course not to forget to use at least one item from Basic Grey somewhere on your creation.

And here is my take on the challenge.

I have used acetate sheet to make the card.
I have used Basic Grey Porcelain and Stella Ruby papers and stickers for this challenge.
Flowers are from kaiser Craft and Prima.
Stamp from Kmart and it is heat embossed.

There is a pocket inside for a gift card or a small gift.

Loved making this one.

Thanks for the opportunity.

A digi layout for A-Z scraplets

Good morning everybody,

How is your Sunday treating you? My Sunday is a cleaning day.
Just put my first load into the washing machine. Weather is not good. Muggy and drizzling.
So my house will be filled with the portable clothes line with clothes on it.
I do not like to use the dryer. It shrinks, sometimes stretches and ruins the clothes.
And I am a bit conscious of my contribution to the global warming.

Anyway, I have a few stuff to show you all.
To start with I have this digital layout made for A-Z scraplets sketch challenge #2.
They have it in the blog which you can find in the right hand side of my blog.
I have used papers and elements from various designers.
I like the drape in particular and the windows.Aren't they cute?

So if you have the time and are sketch lovers, just go to A-Z scraplets blog,
get the sketch, make a layout and email it to them.
All details are in their blog.
Have a go at it.
Awesome prizes.

Ok. got to go now.

Catch you soon with my take on Basic Grey Challenge Blog challenge.

Fun at the beach

Hey Everybody,

How is your weekend going? Mine is busy as usual so far. Still unable to find time to scrap during the daytime. I managed to scrap last night. But seems like my mojo has run away. Or after concentrating on digital scrapbooking, I found it hard to make a traditional one.

Again I have used a ledger pattern paper as the base and Kaiser craft papers for layers. Various embellishments like Kaiser craft pearls, tickets, tags, SEI diecut flower and 7 gypsies stickers. Pink Paislee alphas for title and words.
Photo was taken at Esperance beach in WA.

Some closeups:

There are some lovely challenges at Debscreations for March. Register and have fun. Would love to see your work in the gallery.

Ok remember on March 1st, that is tomorrow, there will be a sketch in my sketch blog and a simple rule. Its a challenge ladies and email me your layouts. I will display it in the blog. One lucky person will receive a RAK from me.

OK until next time...
