Best Wishes!

I played along two challenge over the weekend but found time to take photo and blog only today. I am late for one challenge but certainly not for the other. It is too late for Wplus9 Trend Challenge :( But good to enter into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Wedding Anniversary.

Best Wishes

I have combined some new stamp sets called Fresh Cuts Series with one of their very old stamp set called Woodgrain Silhouette Additions. I have stamped the the big leaves  from Woodgrain Silhouette Additions using gold pigment ink then layered with a smaller outline leaves. Then I die cut the flowers and leaves of Fresh Cuts and More Fresh Cuts stamp sets and stamped them using two shades of grey colour from Hero Arts (Soft granite and Charcoal) and black. Worked so well especially with the gold leaves. I then wanted to add some colour. So spattered with some neon pink Mr. Huey. Then stamped the sentiment on a strip fo cardstock. I also then stamped some flowers from Fresh Cut Wreaths on the card. Finally accented with some sequins.

Best Wishes

Sketch Meets Colours

Played along My Favorite Things sketch and colour palette challenges today.

MFTWSC164

Love blue and yellow together with neutrals and this sketch is awesome.
I used the new release Go Overboard stamp set, Let's get Nautical die-namics and Striped Stencils to make my nautical card.

MFT card

I coloured yellow distress ink using the Striped stencil for the background. Diecut the banner using blue cardstock and stitched it. Love this hanging thread trend :) I then diecut the porthole about 5 times usinf kraft cardstock and glued them together to get the thickness. Added the brads. Similarly diecut the Anchor five times and glued them together. Adhered the anchor to the white circle which is then embedded inside the porthole. Brushed the anchor with Wink of Stella and finished off with glossy accent. The sentiment is stamped on a strip of white cardstock, trimmed to make the fish tail ends and foam mounted it. Love how it turned out.

CAS(E) this Sketch #64

Hello everybody,

It is Thursday. Thursday brings new sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge Blog.
This new sketch is by Sam Simpson.

Here is my take on the sketch.

Best Day Ever

I went for a bright card using Distress Inks and stamp sets and dies from My Favorite Things. On the watercolour paper, I sponged the distress ink and then sprayed generously with water. Love how the coloured blended and love the watercolour look. Once dry, I stamped the Text background stamp from My Favorite Things using Grout Gray MFT Ink. But I have stamped the background at random places not evenly all over the card. I have also spattered some water. For the balloons I die cut the balloons using MFT dies then watercoloured the distress inks in layers making sure I dried the balloon between layers. I also spattered water and distress ink on it. Attached  strings to the balloons, I have adhered them using foam adhesives. Finally stamped the sentiment on MFT banner die and foam mounted it. I have accented the card front using the clear sparkly sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. Love love this sequins. My favourite so far.

Best Day Ever

Toot Toot!

I am over the moon today.
I received two magazines where my work is published.
The first one is Australian Cardmaking Stamping & Papercraft Magazine.

Can you identify the card from the cover? Yes! the pretty in pink card on the left :)
Here is the card.

One layer card

The colour is a bit off on my photo. Looks red right? The photo was taken some time ago. Anyway this card uses stamp sets from Clearly Besotted - Basic Stripes and Love Quotes stamp sets. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink called Ruby Rose Stamp set. This is a one layer card using masking technique. I love this card for the technique reason.

Ready for the second toot? This is in UK based online magazine called Papercraft Inspirations. My blog is been featured as Blog of the Month.

Feeling so blessed at the moment.
Thanks for sharing my excitement with me :)
See you soon with new sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch Blog.

Hi!

I played along Runaway Inspired Challenge #54 today.

That background is just awesome and pop of colour from the dress is what inspired me. I went for a very graphic look. Here is my take on the card.

Hi card

I have used My Favorite Things Trendy Triangles stamp set and dies here on my card. The use of triangles came from the background of the picture plus from the graphic design of the dress. I stamped the triangles on the card front and popped a few using the dies. The sentiment is a simple "HI" from Happy Hello dies also from MFT.

Birthday Card....

Hello everybody,
Sharing a birthday card I made this morning. Laura Bassen made a video using the Hero Art Triangle die some time ago. It was so cool and trendy. She used blues and random gold triangles. I had the die on back order from Simon Says Stamp. It arrived just a week ago. Finally found the time today to play with the die. Here is my card.

Birthday card

The colour inspiration for this card came from this cushion.

I used red instead of the pink because I was colour blind when I looked at it while making the card lol! I saw  red. lol! But red still works, right? Love the blues, a dash of white and pop of colours using yellow and red. So beautiful. The sentiment is also from Hero Arts one of the older sets.
This card is something I made just for fun without any deadlines or for a challenge. I really enjoyed the process. Well, I actually started to make a card for a sketch but saw this die sitting on my desk and started diecutting and make this card instead. Hopefully tomorrow I will finish the other card :)

The Cure for Monday Blues Challenge #5

Hello everybody,

I had a sudden burst of idea this morning after I saw Taheerah's frame it picture for The Cure for Monday Blue Challenge #5. This is the inspirational picture.

I just loved everything about this picture especially the frames and colours. But for a card, working on a smaller area, doing so many frames is just not possible unless I have a pattern paper with frames. And I don't have one such pattern paper. Then I looked at the individual element, I liked the jars on the table, I loved the wood veneer frames, the colourful triangular thingies....  There is so many of them to get inspired by. I am inspired by the flowers and vase framed by the wood veneer frame. So here is my card.

Love card

Here is a shot of the card from above which shows some diemension,

And this shot shows some shimmer on the sentiment die cut.

Love card close up!

I love how this card turned out.

Thinking of you!

Good Morning!

A quick post before I hit the gym. Played along Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Get KraftyHere is my card using kraft cardstock as the base and panel.

Thinking of you

I have used the February card kit to make my card. I stamped the images from the stamp set from the card kit in black then the cluster flowers and big outline flower in white. Coloured the centre of the flower in red. For the sentiment, I heat embossed in red on the vellum cardstock also from the kit. Used the Tim Holtz ribbon to frame the vellum strip. Here is top angle shot of the card.

Then stamped the sentiment from Winnie & Walter's  The Big , The Bold and The Happy stamp set and used the confetti stamps from Scenery: Big Bang Confetti stamp set also from Winnie & Walter to stamp along the sides. Finally added some diamond glitter glue on a few confetti. Mounted the panel on the card base. Here is another shot from the top.

Have a gorgeous day!

Have a gorgeous Day card closeup

Welcome to a brand new challenge from Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.
Here is the challenge for you.

We have a fabulous new sponsor, Lil' Inker Designs with A.G., for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Cozy Quilt challenge!  The LEAD of this challenge will receive a $30 gift certificate to Lil' Inker Design!

Looking at the beautiful quilt, I have a similar quilt at home. Same colours and floral patterns. That is what inspired me to make my card. Here is my take on the challenge.

Have a gorgeous Day card

I played with Lil' Inker Designs Modern Mehndi stamp set. I love this set and it has coordinating dies as well.  My card is easy but the colours from the quilt create impact. I stamped the images from the stamp set in a way to create movement as if falling from the top. Coloured them with copics. Then added shimmer using Wink of Stella pen.I trimmed the cardstock and mounted on a blue card base. Love how bright, bold and gorgeous the flowers are after colouring with shimmer. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. No card of mine is complete without sequins or enamel dots or rhinestones. So here I have added Raspberry sequins from Pretty Pink Posh Shop to complete my card. Hope you like it.

My Favorite Things - Release Rewind

Hello everybody,

Today will be my last post for My Favorite Things. I am sad but I had a great time guest designing for MFT. Like I said it is one of my favorite company and honoured to be guest designing for them. Thank you so much for the opportunity :)

Print

For today's release rewind I have a card which is purple in colour and has lots of glitter and glamour. Here is the card for you.

You are beautiful card

I have used Steel Grey MFT cardstock as my base. I them diecut Hounds Tooth cover up die-namics using Sweet Tooth MFT cardstock. I adhered this die cut on an adhesive sheet. Then covered it with purple gllitter. Used my fingers to burnish the glitter. Dusted off the glitter. Love the rich purple glittery hounds tooth die cut now. I then die cut the Chandelier die-namics using black card stock and a circle using Sweet Tooth MFT cardstock and Pierced Circle Stax die-namics. I layered the chandelier on the circle die cut. Added a lot of rhinestones and also diamond stickles glitter glue. Looks so glamourous now :) Love it.

You are beautiful card

The sentiment  from Simply Fabulous Sayings is stamped on a strip of white card stock. I have stamped another sayings from Simply Fabulous Sayings inside the card and embossed the Chandelier die.
