Simon Says Stamp - You have my Heart card!

Hello everyone,

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! I am excited because tomorrow school starts for the brand new year. I have my son in grade 11 and daughter in grade 9. Everything is organised - books, folders, pencils, pen, uniforms and shoes. So from tomorrow onwards, there will be a routine. Yay! It is going to be busy but organised busy. I love that.

I have a valentine's day card to share today using Simon Says Stamp You have my Heart collection goodies.

You have my heart card

Love the Heart Vent Wafer die from You Have My Heart Collection by Simon Says Stamp. I wanted to get some beautiful pink to red ombre colours behind the stripes on the card. So I sponged Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry and Festive Berries distress ink on the white card panel.. Then spattered gold Colourshine from Heidi Swapp. While this was drying, I die cut a stitched rectangle panel using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die set and die cut the Heart Vent die on the top centre of the panel. I layered this panel on top of the sponged panel. And you can see the beautiful colours with gold spatter through the vents :) I adhered this layered panel on Fog card base.

You have my heart closeup

The sentiment is from Roses for You stamp set which I stamped on a strip of white cardstock. Trimmed fishtail ends and adhered belween the Heart Vent using foam adhesives. It needed some more embellishments. So I inked some scrap white cardstock with Spun Sugar and Abandoned Coral distress inks, die cut the paper using Stitched Heart Collage die. I used the smaller dies on the card in set of three. I added some glossy accents on them. Simple, easy and pack some pretty colours. Hope you like it.

This is my take on the challenge.

Happy Valentine's Day card #1

I have used one of  Suzy's Watercolour Love Notes watercolor paintable prints. I coloured the print using Zig watercolour pens. After I coloured the print, I layered the print with pattern papers from one of Simon Says Stamp October 2015 card kit. I die cut them using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die. The layers are adhered to the black card base. I love the contrast on the back card base. To the top right I added a cluster of golden arrow with two heart shaped die cuts. The arrow is from Roses for You coordinating die set and the hearts are from Stitched Heart Collage die set. I inked the arrow with gold pigment ink, the hearts with Picked Raspberry and Abandoned Coral distress inks. I added a tiny peg to hold them in place. Then embellished with gold enamel dots from My Mind's Eye!

Simon Says Stamp - I Love You card!

Hey everyone! Welcome back!

I love you card

I really love Roses for You stamp set for its whimsical doodle images. I stamped the whimsical heart shape on watercolour paper using versamark and white heat embossed them. I stamped three or four images at a time and heat emboss. I then can see where to stamp the next few to get the random look. Versamark on white is hard to see. Once the entire panel is stamped, I watercoloured the hearts using various shades of red and pink Zig Clean Brush watercolour pens.  I used the grey pens to add shading and depth to the heart shapes. Once dry, I die cut this panel using the largest of the stitched rectangle die from Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die set.  Love the stitched detail on the panel. This has pretty much become my staple for all my cards lol!

I love you closeup

For the focal point, I black heat embossed the flower and leaves heart image from Roses for You stamp set on watercolour paper and coloured the image using Zig Clean Brush watercolour pens. Once dry, I die cut the image using the coordinating dies. I also die cut I Love You from watercolour paper. I wanted to do ombre shading on it initially but then I ditched the idea. So now it is time to assemble the card. I adhered the watercoloured background panel on Fog card base using scor tape in the middle of the panel. I wanted the edges of the panel to be raised and fold a bit. Then I adhered the sentiment die cuts on the die cut flower and leaves heart. Adhered this on vellum using foam adhesives and finally the vellum on the centre of the watercoloured background panel on the card front. No card of mine will be finished without Pretty Pink Posh sequins. And the Sparkly Clear sequins are another staple of mine on most card. Here I have used the 10mm, 6mm and 4mm sequins. I also brushed Wink of Stella clear shimmer on all the hearts on the background and on the die cut sentiment.

I really love how pretty this card turned out. With the lots warm red and pink colours, using a light shade of grey for shadow and for the card base lightens up the entire card and gives a fresh colourful look. The white sentiment die cut now makes pops along with the sparkly clear sequins. The vellum soften the whole card.

Another Penny Black card - LOVE!

Hello! Welcome back. Today's card share is one of my favourite card I made using Penny Black stamp sets.

Love card

I have used the new release stamp set called Summer Love from Penny Black.

summer love picture

I ADORE this image both the boy and girl arm in arm with ice cream in their hands. Absolutely adorable! So I stamped the image on a white card panel. Then made a mask of this image by stamping the image on masking paper, cutting out the image. I masked the original image using the mask. Then sponged Abandoned Coral, Mermaid Lagoon, Fossilized Amber and Twisted Citron distress inks around the image. I sprayed some clear shimmer to add texture and shimmer to the background. I then stamped the bricks on either side of the image using an older Penny Black stamp set called  Brick Wall. Similarly I stamped the two foliage on either side of the focal masked image in black. The foliage are from an older stamp set called Sprigs.

I then removed the mask and coloured the image using copic markers. I also grounded the image and foliage using grey copic markers. The sentiment is from a new release stamp set called Critter Love. I coloured the heart shape in the sentiment with red and pink glitter pen and added some glossy accent. This is all one layer. I die cut this panel using a stitched rectangle die and adhered the panel on to a kraft card base using craft foam. For more texture, I wrapped a jute thread around the top of the card base and made a bow. Finally added a few drops of glossy accent here and there for added texture and interest.

Love the colours, depth, texture and the adorable scene on this card. Thrilled that I was able to put my thoughts exactly on paper. Penny Black stamp sets have so much detail to their designs. LOVE it! More of the Valentine's Day Penny Black designs are available for purchase from Penny Black store.
