June Cloud9 Blog Hop!

Hey everybody,

I am sad because it is going to be last blog hop with Cloud9. Cloud9 is closing after one year. I throughly enjoyed it especially playing with Wplus9 stamps. I love their stamps and Cloud9 bloghops are a great way of showcasing them.

The theme for this bloghop is Anything Goes!
Here is my card using the Pretty Patches Umbrella Stamp set.

I have used the umbrella for both the background and as a focal point. And the sentiment from the set simply stamped. Love the colours of red, blue and yellow together. Looks simple but a lot of stamping. Hope you like it!

Cloud9 April Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome to Cloud9 April Blog Hop.

Suzanne always picks the best picture to inspire. This time it is no different.

Love love the intense colours in this picture.  But I was bummed as to what I want to do. I pulled out my Wplus9 stamps folder and went through all the stamps I have. I picked Folk Arts Floral and Quite Like You stamp sets. Then I decided I will use the colours from the picture because the colours stood out for me when I saw the picture first. And here is the result.

This is a one layer card. I am drawn towards the graph pattern background which adds interest to the card. Love the bright flowers and leaves and a gorgeous double font sentiment. I love it. Hope you do:)

Check out Cloud9 Blog for more inspirations from rest of the DT. And make sure you link your project. There are two prices to be won. You can get $25 gift coupon from Wplus9 or become our next guest designer:)

G'night from Australia:)

Cloud9 March Blog Hop!

Hey it is me again today!

Welcome to Cloud9 March Blog Hop! It is 9th of the month and it is time for another bloghop.

Here is this week's inspirational picture for you incase you haven't seen it already!

Love love the watercolour background. Here is my interpretation of the picture.

How I did my watercolour background? I started out by swiping the inkpads directly on to a acrylic sheet. Then spray generously with water using mini mister. This allows the colours to blend with each other. Then I pressed a white piece of cardstock on it. Remove the cardstock and let it dry on its own or use a heat tool.
I am not very good with watercolour strokes. And I try to achieve the watercolour effect using different method.
With the flowers and leaves, I used Maile's Inking with a Twist Technique. Love the reverse effect of the Rock n Roll technique.
So much colours going on with the background, the flowers and leaves, that I decided to scale it down by reducing the panel size as well as adding the linen fibre on the back of the flower cluster. Hope you like it.

Cloud9 February Blog Hop!

Today is 9th of the month and it is time for Cloud9 Blog Hop!

You would have already seen this month's inspiration from the Cloud 9 Blog. If not, here it is for you.

I was inspired by the pink, red & kraft colours and the pockets.
Here is my take on the picture.

I have used these stamp sets from Wplus9 to make my card.

A PocketfulA Pocketful: ValentineSo 80's

I really love the grunge from the So 80's set which provided the beautiful backdrop and sets off the intensity  red colour of the sweets. I have used kraft pocket and raised it suing foam adhesives Added a few more of the sweets on the bottom and stamped the sentiment at an angle. I also added an arrow which is trendy at the moment.

Hope you like my interpretation of the picture. Check out Cloud 9 Blog for more inspirations from rest of the DTs. There is a linky in the blog to link your project. One lucky winner will receive a stamp set of your choice from Wplus9.

Thanks for visiting!

Hugs!

Cloud9 January 2013 Blog Hop!

Welcome to January 2013 Cloud 9 Blog Hop.

You would have already seen this month's inspiration from the Cloud 9 Blog. If not, here it is for you.

I love the warm neutal colour combination in the picture-kraft, black, white with some sparkly bits. So colours were my inspirations. Here is my take on the picture.

I have used three different stamp sets from Wplus9 to make my card.  They are A Pocketful, Label Layers 4 and Super Star stamp set. I have also used Label Layers 4 die for the sparkly label diecut. Here is a close up the layered focal sentiment.

Cloud9 Blog Hop

Welcome to another month of Cloud9 Blog Hop.

This month Suzanne has given us a sketch she made.

I love this sketch. Versatile and CAS. Loved it straightaway.
So here is my take on the sketch.

I have gone clean and simple as well. I have used Love Birds stamp set and dies and dies from Folk Arts to make my card. I added a bit of texture using woodgrain impression plate.
So many ideas popped in my head. Wanted to make so many cards. So I will certainly be using tis sketch very often.

Looking forwards to seeing all you gorgeous projects using the sketch and Wplus9 stamps.
Please link you projects @ Cloud9 Blog.
You have three days to link your projects:)

Thanks for stopping by!

We also have a random winner every month receiving Wplus9 prize from Dawn. And a voted winner who will be the guest designer next month. If you want to know more details, head to Cloud9 Blog and see the details.
Here is the inspirational picture for this month.

And here is my take on the picture.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Wplus9 white cardstock.
Stamp Set: Mother's Day Bouquet and Spring Post from Wplus9
Accessories: Rhinestones from Kaisercraft.

If you know me, then you will know, I generally get carried away and do more than one project lol! I took the colours and the busy paisley pattern as my inspiration for my cards. So I couldn't stop myself from using just one stamp set (Mother's Day Bouquet). I saw Folk Art Florals stamp set from Wplus9 in my folder and thought how about using this set? In a matter of another 20 minutes, I had another card made lol!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Kraft cardstock from PTI. White cardstock from Wplus9 and Real Red cardstock from SU
Stamp Sets: Spring Post and Folk Art Florals from Wplus9
Accessories: Rhinestones from Kaisercraft.
Hope you like my cards. If you are inspired by the picture and you make a project, then why don't you link your prpject to Mr. Linky at Cloud9 Blog. I love to visit your blog and see your beautiful projects.

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing my excitment :)

See you soon.
