An Awesome Easter Long weekend....

Hey everybody,

How are you all doing? In Australia, we had a long Easter weekend.
I had been to Perth to visit friends.
And guess what? I met Chris W from our Challenge Chic from Debscreations.
It was such an awesome experience for me.
To see the person face to face, knowing her through the forum for a year I think!!
She is such a lovely and sweet person. Her sweet daughter drove her to the city.
Chris brought a gift bag full of awesome scrapbooking stuff. Thats very generous of you Chris. Love them. We chatted for a while over a cuppa.
My entire family got to meet her.
My DH was amazed to meet Chris and talk to her as well.
I will cherish the moment for ever because this is the first time,
I have made a friend over the internet and got to meet her face to face.
Its a whole new experience. A very good one.

Here are some photos I took.

I would love if we can meet again more leisurely and chat and scrap as well.
Thanks for coming Chris. We have a retreat at Debs creations as well.
Can't wait to see the est of them.

I wanted to thank each and everybody who visit my blog and leave lovely comments.
I really appreciate it. Thank you so much.

Angie's Sketch....

Hey everybody,

One of my friend from Debscreations, Angie, has a monthly sketch competition in her blog.
This one below is the April sketch.
Fabulous Sketch. I love it.

All you have to do is use the sketch and make a layout and email it to her.
At the end of the month the winner is announced and there is a fabulous kit as a prize.
This is my take on the sketch.

I have used black cardstock as the base.
The graph paper is from Hambly Prints.
The bright PPs are from Kaiser Craft Mumma Bushka.
The bird cages and birdies are also from Hambly.
The green felt flower is from Queen and Co.
The alphas from Basic Grey.
The swirl is "Our Princess" transperancy.

So, what are you all doing for Easter?
I am visiting friends in Perth.
That means, no access to internet for another 4 days.
But will be having fun driving around South West
and watching my friend's son in the State Water Polo championship.
He is representing Tassie. At 14 he is representing his state. Very cool.
Weather in Perth is hot for the next few days.
Who cares! I am going to enjoy.

Happy Easter to all of you and your family.

Thanks for stopping by

Basic Grey Challenge #29

This weeks challenge is to create some Spring/Easter themed projects,
and of course not forgetting to include one item from Basic Grey somewhere on your creation :)

Well, I do not celebrate Easter.
Wanted to make a spring card but my DD Aditi wanted a easter card to give her teacher!
So here it is.

I have used Basic Grey's new Porcelain papers for this card.

Thanks once again for a wonderful challenge.

Couple of boy layouts....

Hey everybody,
As promised here the two boy's layout I made.
I wanted to do a collage, so the one below is the result of a collage attempt.
I like it actually!!!!

Siddarth has grown so much. He is growing so fast right under my nose!!!!!!
He does plenty of sports now a days and has become a bit muscular.
I think the glasses he is wearing also makes him look mature.... Yeah!!
Buggger!!!he eats so much too... 3 times more than he would be, say 3 months ago?
I guess all boys do as they grow. It scared me initially but I am happy now.
But I still love him when he hugs me. Still my baby.. Cute boy!!!
OH!! he does not like it if I say CUTE!!! Cute is for girls and toddler boys apparently!!!!
Anyway, I wanted to make a boy's layout using BG Marrakech papers for a very long time. Found some time to make the layout without any challenge or competition in mind.
Pretty happy with the outcome.

Thanks for stopping by.
Until tomorrow....

As a token of appreciation

Hey everybody,

I wanted to share with you two card and gift set
I have made for my doctors who looked after me
when I was not up to the mark.
I am doing well now and they helped me a lot to finding whats wrong.
I know its their job but showing some appreciation is very important for them
to keep doing what they are best at.
At least for me, when I do my job a little "thank you" from my client
brings a smile on my face.
It freshens me up.
One of them is a male and the other is a female.
So are the sets.

Here are the pictures of the gift and card set.

I have two boy's layout I made which I will share tomorrow.

I have made some yummy dinner- spicy soup and carrot curry
with nice fragant Basmatic rice.
Yummm!! I got to eat.

Thanks for stopping by
