My last batch of Christmas cards

I think! I have a list and I have ticked them all. Hopefully I haven't missed anybody.I will never know. There will be some last minute entries. Don't you think?

I like the card above. The tree is made using banner dies and a stamp from Everyday button bits stamp set. Awesome huh? lol! The cards below were all made using Papertrey Ink's holiday Flourishes annd Swirls pattern paper and Tiny Treats Christmas stamp set.

I love this pattern paper pack. Beautiful colors and designs and just received them last week. All these cards are now written and put into envelopes ready to go tomorrow.

The weekend has gone by quickly. But had a good weekend though. 3 more days of school and then one and half months of holidays. Yay! I cannot wait to watch some new movies especially Tintin and Adventures :)  Last day of work tomorrow as well. So time to relax, craft and enjoy the holidays.

Thanks for stopping by! See ya soon.

Freshly Squeezed

Wondering why I titled this post "Freshly Squeezed"? lol! Thats because I squeezed this sketch below to fit inside my card centre :) This sketch is from Freshly Made sketches blog, sketch #14.

Here is my take on the sketch. I don't make square cards basically because I cannot find square envelopes in my small town. So, I squeezed the sketch to fit into a normal sized card.

I simple punched 2 bigger and smaller squares of each color, rounded the edges and layered them. Then the center piece is made using PTI's Tags It stamp set, punched and layered with foam.
I enjoyed making this one and came together very quick. I love the result and hope you do too. If you like to play the sketch, then here is the link to the challenge blog.

Have a great weekend! I have one more batch of shortbread cookies to make. Then packing and writing cards will finish all the gifts to teachers.

Thanks for stopping by!

ColourQ #114

Hi, Here is ColourQ #114 colors. Aren't they bright and cheerful? Love that snow man image. But there is a twist to this challenge- Make anything but a card :)

While I read the twist, I completely forgot about it when crafting and created a card but then my brain remembered! Aha! the twist-no card lol! So I made a tag to match the card. Here is the tag first.

I used Papertrey Ink's Everyday Button Bits and Boy Basics-Out of this World stamp sets to create the tag and the card. The dies are also from Papertrey Ink. I chose to use the neutrals as the base colours and the red, blue and green colors from the colour palatte for the hot air balloon :) The ribbon is from SU. Here is both the card and the tag as a set.

I love the 3D hot air balloon and how the colours pop out of the kraft background.

If you like to play along this challenge then here is the link to the challenge - #114.

I would like to thank ColourQ team who picked my snowflakes card as one of the Courtier in Challenge #113 :)

Thank you for visiting my blog:)
Have a great weekend!

RIC #1

There is a new challenge blog call Runaway Inspired Challenge started by Jennifer Razza. The challenges are inspired by Fashion. Very cool huh! Here is the first challenge fashion photo.

RIC #1 - Versace Spring 2012

And this is my take on the challenge :)

I used PTI's Stitches and Swirls stamps for the background and matted with yellow cardstock. The "thank you" sentiment is from PTI Communique Curves and the flowers are punched out using SU punch. Cardstocks from PTI and SU. Pinking edge die from PTI and rhinestones from Kaisercraft.

Love the white, yellow and black colour combination. If you like to play the challenge then here is the link to the blog- Runaway Inspired Challenges.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Friday :)
