Gallery Idol Round #2

Dear Friends,

I am still in shock over making into the Gallery Idol Top 20.
Here is my project for round #2.
The theme for round #2 is "DEFINING DAD"

Here is my card for round #2

After a bit of deliberations, I wanted a card which is lively and cheerful yet masculine. So I went for Teal, Mustard, Orange, Coral and Grey colours. They are cool and trendy too. Secondly, defining dad made me think of characteristics of a dad. So I asked my children. But I gave them Papertrey Ink's Top 10 Stamp Set and Top 10 Additions Stamp Set. This set has cool adjectives to describe anybody for that matter. They literally pick most of the adjectives:). That was easy. Then I stamped and cut out all masculine images from Lets Face it stamp set from The Craft's Meow and "#1 DAD" from Masculine Graphic Tee Stamp Set from MFT. The grid background is using the Pretty Perfect Grid background Stamp from The Market Street Stamps. And then the card came together. I love graphics of a man using the hat, glasses, goatee and the collar & tie in black against the colourful adjectives that describes him.I am in love with this card. This card uses purely stamps, inks and cardstock to get a clean, simple and bold effect which is my style.

Hope you like it and if you do, please vote for me:)

Trendy feathers!

Helloooo everybody,

Long weekend is almost over:(  I will miss my hubby and children from tomorrow during the day. House will be silent. But I will have some time on my own and do some grocery shopping:)

Anyway, I saw the sneak peek of next designer muse at the CASE Study Challenge Blog and I was inspired. I made a card for this week's CASE Study Challenge using the sneak peek of the next week's muse:)

The feathers are from Clearly Besotted's Fancy Feathers Stamp Set. And the banner is from Basic Banners Stamp Set also from Clearly Besotted. I have used pink, blue and orange Hero Arts Neon Inks. I have taken photo under halogen lights and the neon colours doesn't show as neons at all. I will take a photo during the daylight tomorrow and replace this. I have since replaced the photo with a newer one taken in the daylight.
Now I also wanted to use neon on Kraft cardstock. So here is another one.

I love the colours on kraft cardstock better:)  Something about it is just beautiful.
Love the layout of Maile's card at the CASE Study Challenge #143. Will use the layout more often.
And using the feathers this way is so cool. Thanks Lisa Spangler for the awesome inspiration.

I am also submitting these cards for Lets Get Trendy Now Day #1 Neon Challenge:) It is a free class and you have a very talented group of designers sharing trends. So enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by!

A set of mini cards.

Hey everybody,

Sharing with you a set of mini cards I made for Moxie Fab World's The Card Set Challenge.

I have used the Girl's Tee die from MFT to make my card set.
Here is the set in its box also made using the same die cut.

And here are the set of five cards.

The stamp sets I used to stamp my images are Rosie Posie Step #2 and Water Colour Wonder from Papertrey Ink, All Squared Up stamp set from Avery Elle Stamps. I decided to stick with three colours - Orange, Blue and Green also with black for sentiments. Love the modern look on the tees.
Here is the box and the tees together.

I am in love with these cute mini tees. Thanks for stopping by!

CAS(E) this sketch #30

There is a new sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch blog right now.
This is the new sketch.

Great sketch by Karolyn Loncon.
I have gone for a dramatic teacher's card.

The background stamp is from Hero Arts. The pattern paper is from Fancy Pants Park Bench Collection. The sentiment, teacher's cup and the pencils are from Teacher's Pet stamp set from Clearly Besotted.
Here is a closeup of the panel.

Check out CAS(E) this Sketch Blog for more inspirations from all the design teams. And I cannot wait to see what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by!
