Uniko Studio Challenge #2

If you are looking for The Craft's Meow post, Click Here!

Welcome to Uniko Studio Challenge #2

Today we have sketch for you:) No prize for who designed the sketch lol! I am trying my hand in drawing sketches as I try to do it before every card I make. Although the final card does not look anywhere near to the sketch I start with unless it is for a sketch challenge.

I have tried to keep to the sketch this time and made my project.

I have used a pink cardstock for my base and panel. I stamped the circle background stamp from BB: Circles Stamp Set on the pink panel and layered the sentiment from Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum stamp set over it. I then heat embossed the small chrysanthemum and leaves with white embossing powder on white cardstock. Spritz water and added a drop of Garden Mr. Huey for the leaves and Dessert and Ocean Mr. Huey for the flowers and let it blend. When dry I trimmed them and layered them using foam adhesives on the panel. I have used enamel dots for accents. Mounted this panel to the card base using foam adhesives.

Here is a closeup!

Introducing Potted Garden and Cottage Garden!

Welcome to Day #1 preview of The Craft's Meow August New Release Stamp Sets.

the craft's meow.

Today we are previewing two new stamp sets by Clare Buswell. They are called Potted Garden and Cottage Garden. You will love them if you like flowers. They are my favourite.
Here my project using Cottage Garden stamp set.

I have done a lot of masking and colouring. Gorgeous tall flowers, shrub plants and flowers, ground covers and pebbles as well. There is even cut butterfly and dragonfly as well The sentiments have double fonts which is cool!

Next is a card made using Potted Garden Stamp Set.

This set had potted flowers with coordinating sentiment. If you love colouring, then this is the set for you:) I love tulips. They can be coloured in so many colours to suit different occassions:)

If you like Potted Garden and Cottage Garden stamp sets, then The Craft's Meow is giving away one set of each to a lucky person who leaves a comment in The Craft's Meow Blog.

CAS(E) this Sketch #41

Hey everybody,

Welcome to a new sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch. This sketch is by Chrissy Larson.

The sketch is in landscape orientation but I have rotated the sketch to portrait orientation.
Here is my take on the sketch.

I have used Studio Calico's Atlantic collection cardstock and stickers to make my card. So this is a no stamp card :) Shocking! But this is clean and simple card which is quick to make. This card took me less than 5 minutes to make after looking through the sticker sheet, sketch and idea popping in my head. Thats a nice when things come together quickly and perfect. I only wish my photo was better. Winter in Perth this year has been overcast, wet and cold. It has been simply impossible to take good photos in natural light even in the middle of the day. So I have set up my light tent back again. I will take a better picture tomorrow and replace this one.

Check out our guest DT Deepti and design team inspiration using this sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch Blog.

Thanks for visiting!

Hugs!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge- Carnival Craze!

This new challenge is called Carnival Craze!
Here is your inspirational picture for Carnival Craze!

Lawn Fawn has been generous to provide their beautiful Blue Skies Stamp Set to me for this challenge.

Thank you so much Kelly-Marie! Love Lawn Fawn stamp sets and dies.

Here is my project for the challenge using Blue Skies stamp set.

I have stamped and coloured the balloons, heart shapes and clouds using copic markers. Then cut them out. The sunburst background is a die from Simon Says Stamps which is embossed on yellow cardstock. I have then layered the balloons, clouds and heart shapes using foam adhesives. Added the sentiment.
Here is a closeup!
